Can't get in to my property settings

I clicked on the Apple top left to get into property settings it will not go to property settings it will not do nothing help !

Close all windows and quit all applications.
Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menubar.
Select "Library" from the dropdown, then "Preferences" folder.
Look for these two files.
com.apple.desktop.plist
com.apple.systempreferences.plist
Right click each one of those and select " Move To Trash" from the contextual menu.
Restart the computer.

How can I get iTunes to hold options settings?

I make the changes in options for a new book (spoken word and media kind) but they do not remain the next time I check the book. How can I get them to stick?

For me, iTunes always opens to whatever I had selected previously when it was closed.
In other words, if I had Apps selected when I closed iTunes, the next time I opened iTunes it would be on Apps.

How can I get an "Overflows" frame property in IDML?

I am using InDesign CS5.
In scripting, I can get the "Overflows" property to see if a given text frame requires overflowing. I could not find any similar property in IDML. Is there any way to determine solely from an exported IDML if text overflow is required? By this, I mean that the story is too long to be displayed in its entirety and thus a continuation text frame needs to be displayed.
What I am trying to do is to take an IDML, check on each text frame to see if there is undisplayed text due to a "too-small" frame, and if so take requisite action. Any IDML-based suggestions, workarounds, or pointers would be gratefully accepted.

IDML contains unformatted text, and you cannot see how much space is going to take up when opened with InDesign -- it's InDesign itself that does all the formatting, word-breaking, justification, paragraph composing and all the rest. IDML only defines the pages, the frames, and the text that's going into it.

Can't get iCloud to open in Settings

I just installed OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.1 today, and I haven't been able to get iCloud to open, when I click on it in Settings.

Do you mean that you can not see the icon in System Preferences or that it just do not open?
If you can not see the icon then try "System Preferences > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > + to add an account > iCloud"

How can I get back my itunes library settings?

My dad recently created a new profile and my library got lost with the old profile. I was able to move all my music from the old profile to my new library but i lost all my settings. I have the music but it doesn't show any of my ratings for any songs, no play counts, the date added is wrong, no playlists, and I had selected specific songs I wanted on my ipod but now it has all of them selected again. I still have all my old settings on my nano if I can get them off there somehow. If anyone knows how i can get my settings back please help.

It sounds to me like the original iTunes Library file got replaced. If so, transferring from the nano will be your only possibility. If you search VersionTracker for "iPod", you'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your playlists from your iPod back to your Mac. One or more of those utilities might also be able to transfer playcounts and ratings.

Settings says 4g Cell plan successful. "4g" not showing in top left corner. Can't connect.

4g and LTE are available in limited areas in the US. Otherwise you will be on 3G.

I can't get into my apple tv settings to pair remote

My ATV2 & the silver remote are not paired, I have tried pressing the menu & right hand at the same time but this is unsuccessful, obviously the ATV2 menu is unaccessible because the remote doesn't work on it? Each time I open Logic I have to reconfigure me Midi environment, its driving me nuts!

Save your configured environment as a template. If you want it to be the default, save it in your templates folder as your Autoload song.

I have a 1 terabyte external drive. When I tried to reformat it, it went to 10.0 GB. How can I get it back to factory settings? Right now it's not much more then a paper weight. Does anyone know where I can download a user manual from? I really need help on this one.
