Can't get internet after downloading ios 7.1.1 on my iphone 4s.

This morning I downloaded ios 7.1.1 on my iphone 4s. Then none of my apps would connect to the internet. I reset networks, I was able to connect for a few minutes, but now I cannot. Wifi is detected and works, but my iphone is not connecting. I reset networks a second time to no avail. Please help.

I have been having the same issue (with both Wifi and Cellular Data) since I have Downloaded the IOS 7.1.1 update...
The applications show an error, "No Internet connection"..
Keep in mind that all of my other devices are using the same Wifi, and are working fine...
Please resolve this matter ASAP...

You can't, Siri is not available on the iPad 2 - possibly because it doesn't have the noise cancellation hardware within it that is needed for it.

Before, my email messages would come through automatically and my iPhone would alert me each time an emial message was recevied. I now have to open my mail in-box and wait for my email messages to download. Do I need to reset or change my mail settings? This issue is delaying my abiliy to receive and respond to email messages in a timely manner.

Hi Chris. Thanks, for the suggestions re: my email issues. They were helpful and yes I did check all items you referenced. I even contacted Apple support and spent about 40 minutes on phone checking all settings. However, after all these efforts, my mail and calendar issues were not resolved. Apple Support finally recommended deleting the mail account and then reloading it - and it worked! I am now receiving my emails and calendar appts. in real time again.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone elest has a similar problem with mail/calendar after downloaing i.O.S. 8.1 onto iPhone 5.

Yeah this is really strange...i can use Messages on my home wifi without issue after updating to iOS 6...but from my work wifi network my messages fail 90% of the time. What's most rediculus is that this has been going on for almost a week now & nobody at apple seems to even be acknowledge it's an issue????

Can anybody help me please, After downloading ios 7.0.4 I have lost the wi fi funtion on my iphone 4s, My phone is four months out of waranty and I will have to pay to get it fixed, This seems to be a massive problem and nobody seems to have an answer as to why this has happened.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Why can't I save pictures off the Internet after downloading ios 6?

Ever since I installed ios 6 I have not been able to save pictures off the Internet. When I 'Save photo', it does not save anywhere. Unless it now saves to a new spot I am unaware of? It's not in my 'Photos' section. Anyone have any ideas what this is about? Or if its going to be fixed?

I think my problem is harder to solve than that. What you say is what I first tried to do. Since the sync with iTunes was still working, I could still have some pictures in the photos app, and each time I was syncing new pics from my computer ( PC btw ) I had a prompt that said sth like "xx elements have not be synced, check what on iTunes on the PC" but there was nothing on iTunes, and every pic I synced was here in the photos app. I thought there was a directory problem, or ghost pic files issues, so I made a backup of the iPad from iTunes and I disabled the autosync with iTunes. when I got it back, I directly tried to save a pic from safari and mail (even before syncing anything) and it was still not working.
I really can't figure out why is this occurring, and I haven't tried anything else for now. I think I will show this up in an apple store cause it's kinda hard to explain.
PS: sorry for the mistakes, I know this is annoying and makes my weird stuff hard to understand, but English is not my first language. (but I will keep on, the English community is still the best!)

I would like to tell you that since I have downloaded the IOS 7.1.1 update on my Iphone 5s, I have not been able to use the internet!
All my other devices are working just fine. I have not been able to use neither the cellular nor the Wifi as all the applications like Safari, Appstore, Facebook, Whatsapp etc. show the error "No Internet Connection".
Please rectify the cause and resolve the matter.

How can I get internet on my iPod touch from my friend's iphone?

I have an iPod touch (4th gen), and I'd like to have access to the internet. Suppose I'm in an area that has no free wifi. However, my friend has an iphone (assume the latest version, not jailbroken) that can get to the internet through 3G. Is there any way he could share his internet with my iPod touch? I was thinking via bluetooth or wifi, but any way to connect to the internet is sufficient.

You must have wi-fi router and you should be able to use iTouch easily. I have no problem with mine.

It is not the wording but the lack of detail.
The iPhone connects to both the phone network (3G, LTE, etc) and to WiFi networks. Which one (or both) are you having issues with?
If it is the phone network, go to Settings->Cellular and see if Cellular data is turned on globally AND for the apps you wish to use.
If it is a WiFi network, go to Settings->Wi-Fi and see if you are connected to a network. If so, touch the circled "i" next to the network name and see that you have a valid IP address, etc. (take a screen shot and post it if you don't know what to look for).

If you go to Settings>Sounds>Ringtone>Classic you should be able to find it there.

I don't know if this helps, but I experienced a similar issue with my iPad 2 after updating to iOS 7.
My "solution" to the problem, after pulling out my hair for hours, is to plug it in the wall charger, and then shut the iPad down completely. It does charge when turned off, although a bit slower than usual, or so it seems. Pheeew...:-) I realize that this is a pain if you have a problem with an iPhone, because you have to turn it off to charge it. Presuming that this works, of course. Otherwise, I don't know..
After the update, the iPad simply does not respond when i plug in the charger, nor does it connect to the USB port. The battery just keeps wearing down. I think it could be connected to the firmware change that iOS 7 brings, which I guess in itself has to do with Apple wanting to block out 3rd party manufacturers of power adapters of the new "lightning" type.
The only thing I can think of that might have gone wrong on my part concerning the update is that I didn't have it plugged in while installing the update - although I believe this is recommended from Apple. I'm thinking that in my case the new firmware update simply hasn't registered any adapter present upon installation, and that might have caused the iPad to not recognize an adapter at all, regardless of type. I have always used original Apple adapters, btw, so I'm not really guilty of anything other than not plugging it in while updating - or, at least that's my own theory. Which is better than no theory at all.. ;-)
Obviously, I'm waiting eagerly for Apple to solve this issue. Not really happy at all with this..

After downloading IOS 7 on my Ipod Touch 5, I could no longer use Imessage or facetime. I go to my facetime app and it opens with asking for my apple ID et al and then comes up

There is NOTHING wrong with my internet connection. Safari is going online no problem. How can I fix this?

Just do the following this seemed to work for me.
1. Settings
2. Select icloud
3. Turn contacts on
4. Come out of that and check for the add sign at the top right-hand corner of your contacs window
5. Go back into Settings, Icloud and switch it back off and select keep contacts
6. Voila your edit button should have stayed in the contact window
