This must be PS Elements. IIRC there's an editing module and an organizing module.
Littlebergie, the Elements forum is >here<.

I can't get the edit function in I photo to work

    First try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
    User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

  • I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone an i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone and i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • Can I get the loop function to show in the edit window

See above and also can I get the loop function to cover smaller areas then a beat or bar?? cheers

With a little slight-of-hand, you might be able to trick GB into letting you do this:
If you uncheck Follow Tempo and Pitch in the editing pane, and then raise the metronome setting, you readjust the beat reference, forcing each beat to include less music and therefore enabling you to loop a smaller portion of what used to be a beat!

  • TS3048 My keyboard will connect wirelessly but my mouse will not. I've put new batteries in the mouse and the green light is blinking but it just won't connect!!! I don't have a 'wired' mouse so I can't get into preferences etc!!! Pls help

My keyboard will connect wirelessly but my mouse will not. I have tried many times, put new batteries in etc. The Bluetooth appears to be on (as the wireless keyboard is working). I don't have a 'wired' mouse so I can't get into preferences etc. Is the mouse dead perhaps? The green light is flickering so it should be ok???
    Thank you for your help
    Sully (frustrated Irishman)

From what you say I would suggest the batteries are not connecting properly.
First, thoroughly clean all contacts, both inside the mouse and the contact points of the batteries.  Use an alcohol based cleaner (whisky will do, hic!)  dampen (not wet) cotton buds for cleaning.
Then check to see if they fit firmly.   If you can shake your mouse and hear things are loose, that will be the batteries.   Check the make.   Apple and Duracell, in that order, are the best batteries.   Where slight undersizing has been reported they are with other than the foregoing.
You can resolve the size problem with appropriate packing but that will always be a makeshift solution.  After, reassemble, turn on the mouse and with luck, away you go.
Hopefully this will solve your problem but in any case let us know how you get on.

Yup, thanks for link. I already read it before.
I added the line to Services, delete the SMC Patch. But still it did not help. I am doing smt wrong :-(
I normally login to SMC. Server starts, I can see Management tools and Localhost, started Management. Then, when I click to User Accounts it's get overclocked, and waiting...

You didn't save the iWork trial.dmg  somewhere by any chance?
You have not move enough parts of iWork over to the new computer. There are files in
Users > your name > Library > Application support > iWork. Get the iWork folder
MacHD > Library > Application Support > iWork '09. Get the folder
To get into the users Library you have to on Mountain Lion in the Finder click on Go in the menu while pressing down the Option key.

  • Can't get into BIOS mode

** i also put this question in O.P. topic, because i think that was the wrong one**
    1. Type of computer - HP ENVY dv7-7250nr
    2. opporating system- windows 8 64bit
I recently got this computer. It's amazing the only thing that could use a change is the keyboard. I got this as a gaming PC but the function keys can only be accesed when pressing FN. In most computer games the f# keys are your shortcuts. When i go to press mine i have windows changed and the control panal pops up.
So i was looking around and they say you can go into BIOS mode and turn off the hotkeys. Only issue is i can't get into BIOS mode.
I would really appreciate some help on this, i don't want to go out and key a whole-nother keyboard.
    Thank you in advance.

    Princess.
Turn on the laptop then tap f10.
That should get you into the BIOS.

How can I get into my submitted podcast to add a cover graphic and make other modications?

You don't edit your podcast in iTunes, if that's what you are asking: it works entirely from the feed. You have to make any changes in the feed, and re-upload it. Whatever method you used to create the podcast - a program or an online service - is where you need to make any changes.

  • Keyboard found/working - but can't get into setup in system preferences

    Hi,
I've had the Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard (the flat aluminum one) for about a year. It works great, but recently want to see if I could modify some keys.
Wen into System Preferences, clicked "Set Up Bluetooth Keyboard" and it just searches for the keyboard forever, but never finds it.
Weird thing is if I go into bluetooth pref pane keyboard is there and paired, and as I say works fine. I don't know if I can re-map any soft keys / function keys with this keyboard (because I can't get into prefs) but I would like to find out!
    TIA...Larry

    Hello Larry:
What are you trying to do? You can change KB shortcuts, but you cannot make a "K" key become a "Y" key.

  • Can't get into my itunes on ipad. but can get to it on my computer?

I can't get into my itunes on my ipad message reads email address is already verified for another Apple ID but when i go to my computer I get into my acct. just fine. Also when it asked me to verify this ID in an email i get the same message! Now, just so you know I have gone to the account page and edited everything but nothing happens. When I try to retrieve all info on the page that says Apple Acct. forgot ID and password, I type in my name and message reads we do not have your name on file.

Try restarting your iPad first and see if that helps. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut down. Then hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button and let the iPad restart. Then try to sign in again.
If that doesn't work you can look through this to seek help.

  • Since I upgraded I can not get into any of the POGO games

before I upgraded to the newest version of firefox everything worked fine , now I can not get into any of the POGO.com games unless I use internet explorer and I do not want to do that

Mozilla are aware of the issue in Firefox 3.6.14 and are working on a fix, no timescale but they are planning on a quick release. Firefox 3.6.15 will fix the issue with some Java applets not working, which has caused many Pogo games to stop functioning.

  • Hi I'm new in this Ae and i loved it and started to get into editing but when i watch videos on how to use effects like magnify and CC light burst 2.5 it doesn't work why?

hi I'm new in this Ae and i loved it and started to get into editing but when i watch videos on how to use effects like magnify and CC light burst 2.5 it doesn't work why?

First, I want to clear up some vocabulary issues. After Effects is not intended for editing video. Editing involves cutting shots together to tell a story. Premiere Pro edits video. While you technically can cut video together in AE, Premiere is much, much better for that.
After Effects is used for creating shots - visual effects, compositing, motion graphics, animation, color correction, color grading, etc.
What exact version number of AE (down to the decimal points) are you using? Plus the questions Todd asked, plus the info in the link he gave.
Also, if you're new to AE, you should really start here. This resource will give you a foundation in how to actually use After Effects that will probably clear up your current problem and prevent much more frustration in the future.

  • Just updated, can't get into X or console [Solved]

So yeah, as the title says.
Can't remember exactly what was updated but there was definitely a kernel update in there. The system boots fine until it goes to start X, then i just get a blank screen. No keyboard working, so i can't get into a console.
    Any ideas? Live cd maybe?

  • Updated my UEFI - Now I can't get into gummiboot anymore

I have an UEFI Msi motherboard, which I've just updated. I run a dual boot system with windows7 and arch.  After rebooting, I can't get into gummiboot anymore and the "Linux boot manager" entry in my UEFI is gone. The only thing left there is "Windows boot manager", which causes the system to directly boot to windows without giving me the possibility of changing to linux.
    - Secure boot is disabled
    - Fast boot is disabled
From what I know, upgrading the bios/uefi shouldn't even touch my bootloader at all, how could this happen? What do I have to do to get gummiboot back?
edit: When I chroot into the system and try to "gummiboot update", I get: "File system /boot is not a FAT EFI System Partition (ESP) file system."

On UEFI systems the "boot" information is stored in NVRAM, so upgrading the "BIOS" (not the right word) might affect that. On my machine, you can "edit" the NVRAM entries (the boot entries) somewhat from the "BIOS" (again, not the right word). Windows has a tool to edit UEFI entries (bcdedit or something) that you may be able to use to add your gummiboot entry back.
