How do I get back into my own account after setting up another for a family member on my iMac?
In System Preference/Users and Groups select Login Options ( not Login Items)
Select List of users next to 'Display Login window as'
Make sure you know both yours and your family members login name and password before you log out
You could also use Fast user switching by clicking on the name in the menu bar and switching users

Take a look at Apple's document for authorizations -> iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization.
You can deauthorize all computers from iTunes. All you have to do is click iTunes Store, click your account name in the upper right corner of iTunes, then deauthorize all. -
I cannot get into my mobileme account after logging in.
after I log into mobileme it just spins saying "Loading mail" and nothing happens. I want to make the move to icloud.

I cannot activatea second hand iphone 4s as i don't have previous owners itunes ID. I can't get anything on the phone after setting the language as its asking for activation. Please can anyone help ???? Ideally i would like to get it back to factory settings and start afresh but right now i would settle for anything. Should say i only have the phone and charger, no box so no details
Unfortunately, the only one who can help is the previous owner. Otherwise you will not be able to activate and use the phone. Apple can't/won't help you with this either.

Can't get into my DE anymore after nvidia/nouveau switch + other stuff
I made a mess of things, and I'd very much like to get my system back into a normal state. Here's a brief history of important events:
(1) About 2 weeks ago after a system update, I couldn't log into Gnome via GDM anymore (see topic). Thankfully I could still get into Gnome via 'startx', so I stuck with that for a while. Busy time, and no real fix was forthcoming.
(2) About 4 days ago after a system update, that didn't work anymore either. (Both monitors would just stay black, but with a thick white bar on the left side of the right monitor.)
(3) I switched from binary nvidia drivers to nouveau, in the hope that that would fix things. It did, sort of. I could use startx again, but my display would now freeze after a short time of use, with many nouveau related errors in dmesg. My bug report to freedesktop.org about this is most comprehensive.
I really need a functional PC right now. Short of an actual fix, I'd love to just roll back everything to the state it was a month ago or so. But no luck there either.
(4) I installed the nvidia drivers again, uninstalled the nouveau stuff, set my system to query the Arch Rollback Machine for a month ago, and did a `pacman -Syyuu --force`. GDM still doesn't work, nor does startx. Using startx, I get the following 'Xorg.0.log' (I remember getting the same errors during my earlier messing about):

I'm using `nvidia-xconfig` to generate that file (I haven't had to tinker with it manually for years now).
The tool generates this 'deprecated' file. Should I just move its exact content to the new location? -

Ok, first thing, why are you doing anything with WAMP or XAMPP when you're running a Mac? MAMP should be what you want unless you're not explaining part of what you are trying to do.
2nd thing, I haven't used MAMP in a while, but there are two possibilities for not seeing what you want to see once you have MAMP turned on. One possibility is that you already have "Web Sharing" turned on in your Sharing Preference Pane. If that is the case, port 80 will already be taken and you'll be seeing the default Apache install (files are stored at /Library/WebServer/Documents/). This would push MAMP to either not turn on it's web serving capabilities, or to push it to another port. The other possibility is that MAMP defaults to another port anyway. So instead of localhost, you might have to type in localhost:8080 or something similar. I believe the control panel that gets installed can take you to the currently MAMP-served page, and it can also help you change which port your serving on.
80 is the default port for web serving and the ONLY port that will let you get straight to the server without having to type in webaddress.com:port# instead of just webaddress.com. -

Forgot iPhone passcode can be done:
1.Press down the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone until it shuts off.
2.Connect it to your computer with the USB cable.
3.Press and hold down the Home button.
4.Hold it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.

I made a new appli ID because i couldnt get into my old one but now my new one won't open in the app store, does anyone know what to do?
well, you can reset your password for your old Apple id , you need to to visit

you need to enter your apple id and you will see two options verify your date of birth OR Email Authentcation (That mean you have to option to option to reset your apple id and password either you can verify your date of birth and security questions, If you forgot your security question you can simply select Email option, you will recive one email from apple just click on the link and enter your new Password) -
I can not get into safari, i have re set my password and it still wont let me on
i was able to get to safari then it asked me for id, i emailed myself the id it still wont let me onto safari?

However, make sure you're using the entire email address as your "username." Simply using the first part is not sufficient.

Can't get into my user account
I was trying to set up my wireless account on my macbook with a cd from the Qwest provider and all of a sudden a message to restart my computer came on. After it restarted I tried to log in with my password for the computer, a message popped up saying "You are unable to log in to the user account "*" at this time". This is the only account on there. Please help! Thank you!

There is nothing to set up!? ...did you actually get to the point of running an installer or something from the CD when the 'Restart your computer' message came up? And if you did - what was it you installed?
Try booting into Safe Mode and then running Disc Utility to verify and repair both permissions and the drive - then see if you can restart and log in normally. -
Can't get into my gmail account.
I used my gmail account yesterday the 7th of March without trouble. Now when I try to log into it I get an advertisement that gives me information on how to add a gmail account to a smart phone. I don't see anyway to block this. Any suggestions?

When I go to my Gmail log in screen there is a BIG picture which moves shoving pictures of devices using Gmail. If this is what you are seeing then there should be a small "sign in" button at the top right.
If this is nothing like what you are seeing, it might be an idea to upload a screenshot so we can see whats going on.
