Can't get iPad 4 to accept LAN password.

Just setup new iPad 4, but I can't get it to accept my LAN password. It finds the Wi-Fi network name, but won't recognized the password my Windows 7 says is the network password. Can it be that my Home Group network and the Wi-Fi network are two different things?

Windows 7 doesn't set your wifi password, your router does.
The password generated by Windows 7, I believe the one you mean, is for sharing files across the network with other windows machines-it's not for accessing wifi.

Hmm, interesting that sites like airprint activator and others have sprung up to support the what seems like a problem with ipad wireless printing....and reading the many discussions here, it seem there is still a big problem between the devices that everyone has a different take on....I'm just glad I don't HAVE to print from my iPad......cause it ain't happened...

USB ports do not provide enough power to charge iPads. iPhones and other smaller devices need less power so can charge.
If your car has a cigarette lighter port you can get an adapter for it to charge the iPad. Those put out more power than the USB ports.

Thank you, Allen. My iMac is a 2009. I can't shine a light into the disc drive slot as it has a built in whisker cover that prevents anything from getting in. It will accept a disc half way in before the disc reaches a springy obstruction.
About 3 weeks ago, the computer locked up so I inserted the OS disc and reinstalled it. In general, the computer works just like it used to but we've had a few quirks appear; for example, this is one of them. Also, we can't figure out how to keep from having to sign-in when we turn the computer on. Also, we can't access our one on-line account anymore. Very strange.

Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Turn Passcode Off (you have to know what your passcode/password is to get into this setting, I'm assuming you do).

I got a new iPhone 5S. Trying to download apps and iTunes won't accept my password. The password works on my iPAD for installing apps so I know it's right.

It sounds like you are putting a password for your Apple ID that works without issue on your iPad into your iPhone but get a message saying that the password is incorrect. I recommend the steps from the article named:
iCloud: "Incorrect Apple ID or Password" alert when setting up iCloud after upgrading to iOS 7

After completing iOS 7 setup, go to Settings > iCloud.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then enter your previous Apple ID and password.
