Can't get iPhones to connect to wifi

I have a pc and an iPad.  My wife has a mac laptop.  So do my daughters.  All of us connect effortlessly to wifi via the EA3500.  All of us, however, also have iPhones, and yet none of us can get on wifi with our iPhones.  Apple insists the problem is on the Cisco side, not the Apple side, and I have to agree with them because all of the iPhones connect effortlessly to wifi everywhere else it is available.  I tried contacting Cisco support, but they wound up telling me that if I paid them they might be able to help, since the router is outside the warranty period.  (I tried explaining to them that I didn't know about the extent of the problem until 10 days ago   My wife simply uses her mac; none of my daughters lives here and only one of them had an iPhone until ten days ago when I purchased the other ones.  But that was to no avail.)  Does anyone have any idea why no one can get on wifi with  iPhones when they can, simply and effortlessly, with the PC, the iPad, and their macs?  I should add that the problem is not one of overloading, since there's never been an instance where all five of us are using the wifi at the same time, and that I live in an apartment, without a microwave or a garage opener or anything else that might be causing interference with the phones (although why interference with a phone might be a possibility when there is no interference with other devices strikes me as inherently odd to begin with.)  Any help anyone can provide would be most appreciated.

You can do this on the computer that you used for the installation. You open the Cisco Connect software and go to router settings. You can see on that screen the current wireless settings you have for the router. You have the option there, too, on how to access your router’s page to change the wireless channel.  However, if you do not have the Cisco Connect software installed, you can do this on your computer. You launch a browser and type on the address bar: http://192.168.1.1. The prompt comes up for a username and password which is the same as your router name (SSID) and router password (wireless password). You go then to the wireless tab on top and change the channel on the 2.4 GHz to 1, 3, 6, 9, or 11. To know if WPS is enabled is on that same screen, too. You will see that one on configuration view and just set it to manual and not wifi-protected setup. To change wireless security, you click on wireless security on the blue bar.  The firmware version by the way is like software version that the device has and you can find that under the status tab on the router’s page.
