Can't get Ipod to do anything...

Hi!
I just got my Ipod back from Apple Support service having waited almost two weeks. It had been freezing all the time. I updated my settings and ran the restore porgramme. Everything was going ok until it froze again in the middle of songs being put back on it. Then it showed a folder icon. I tried updating and restoring again but now it will charge for about 20 secs and then it'll go back to the apple icon and stops. Does anybody know of anything I can do? I really don't want to send it back and be without it for weeks again and this is my fourth one in 18 months!!! Help! It's a 20gb, click wheel one.

are you connecting to a high powered USB2 port? not all USB ports on Windows computers are high powered - some are low powered for keyboards, mice, etc.
check the USB2 ports on your machine in device manager to see which is the high powered port
are you getting any other error msgs?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Is it plugged in via a hub? If so, plug it directly into the box.
If you're plugged into the box, try a different USB port.

- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.) Relaunch the App and try again.
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Delete the App, then reinstall it.
Test the issue after each step. Make sure to quit the app as described before each followup step.

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11) Installed on your computer

1) Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

I need help with Flash CS4. I am making a banner with an animation (Image change into movie clip "3D Spiral") and added buttons but I cannot get the buttons to control the animation. Please help I am frustrated! If someone could help I would be most appreciated.

Your iPad has gone into recovery mode and it needs to be restored now. The instructions are in this kb article.

I was setting up the ipod 4th gen that I got my daughter for Christmas, and set the itunes store to restricted, and now I can't get on to add anything. How do i fix this?

Also, do the 4th gens have cameras? I see it in the manual, but there's no app or whatever to access it, and I accidentally 'synched' photos from my computer, and can't get them off! Help!

We are going through same thing and looks like alot of other people also. Seems to me Apple would have invalid email instead of us loosing the gift card all together. Very irratating. Good Luck.

Can't get iPod to back up. Help?

I asked this question two days ago, and information below on the question...
"I can't get my iPod touch to successfully backup. It's the only issue I have with my iPod. I plug it in, and then I hit the sync button for it. Both, my iPod touch and iTunes are the newest version right now. I've had this problem before other versions, but it seemed to manage somehow.
Right before the backup load bar, it keeps restarting what I believe. I get the apple symbol and the loading pinwheel icon together, and the beeping noise. It still continues to go through the process, but near the end, right before its complete, the iPod whitescreens and then turns off completely. It doesn't create a backup, and then back at the beginning.

I did a complete restore. When I had my iPod roughly halfway full, done with the restore, it actually had backed up successfully and went smoothly. Now I have finished getting everything back on it, and it's roughly 3/4 full now. I just now went to try to back up my iPod touch, and I have enough space for it, and more, but, it will not back up, this same problem has once again came back. I highly doubt this is a mere coincidence. What other possibilities are there that could cause this? It never has been jailbroken or anything to that effect either. iPod touch and iTunes are the most recent version, and all.
Please help?

Try moving the existing backup file to a safe locations so that iTunes has to create an entire new file. The backup is located here:
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

Help please - have a Nano and a Shuffle and neither are working! The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to do anything. I've done the reset,it worked the first time but not since. And the shuffle won't sync with my library!

I have an iPod shuffle 4th generation and an iPod Nano 5th generation . The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to play or anything. I've done the reset and it worked the first time, but now the only way I can get it to play anything is to shake it and go with the shuffle choices - I can't change volume, song, pause or turn it off.
So, I decided to start using the Shuffle which I was given as a present last year. I've plugged it into my laptop (running windows 8 and newest version of iTunes). It appears in iTunes on the left hand side, but when I click to sync (whether I tick sync all or choose artists) it says synched but has no music. It seems to not be linked to the music library - when I tick synch all songs, next to the "sync music" it says 0 songs?
Any help to fix either would be really appreciated - I'm without any music at the moment and I'm going away this weekend!

Can not get ipod or itunes program to install

Help! I cant get ipod or itunes to install on my computer. When I enter the CD, installation begins. It gets thru the ipod installation and then gives me an message at the tail end of the itunes installation....this is what it says in the box:

I have removed, reinstalled, restarted ipod and computer, disabled nortons, I even tried to install itunes from the website. Nothing worked. I still get that message every time.
I would really appreciate someones help one this. This is my first ipod and I was so excited. Only to be let down by my computer!!!

Moved ITunes folder to external drive now can't get Ipod to sync

I have moved my ITunes folder from laptop to external drive. Had to move each album folder individually to ITunes and when I went to Sync my Ipod, says its in Restore mode and can't get out of it as it stays in Restore mode over and over and over.

As a best practice, you should move your content to an external drive and import references to into iTunes rather than moving the whole database and app files. In iTunes > Preferences > Advanced, uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library". This will keep all your music and movies on the external drive, but iTunes and all references to the content on your desktop.
I know that's not what you wanted to hear as a fix, but this is how I have my MacBook Air setup and it works fine with the iPad. My son tried to move the whole app and database to a hard drive and we had endless problems with it.

Can't get ipod to play a podcast a second time

Help!
I have no trouble getting and playing podcasts on my ipod mini, but once I finish listening to the podcast, it dissapears from the ipod and will not reload back on the ipod no matter what I've tried.
The podcasts are still in iTunes and will play in iTunes, I just can't get them to play again on the ipod.
I don't have fast connection, so I'd rather not reload them.
I'm using iTune 5 iPod 1.4.
