Can't get it to print

I want to print something off the glass of my all in one printer unit. It keeps acting like I am puttiing it into the automatic feeder. It seems to be stuck in this mode.When I use the printer with my computer I have no problems or with my mobile app I have no problem. Only when I try to print directly off the glass of my printer. Please help me I am going nuts.

Hi, Sounds like you want to COPY something. From page 54 of the manual: 1. Make sure you have paper loaded in the main tray. For more information, see Load paper on page 23.
2. Place your original print-side down on the scanner glass or print-side up in the ADF.
For more information, see Load an original on the scanner glass on page 27 or Load an original in the document feeder on page 28.
NOTE: If you are copying a photo, place it face down on the scanner glass, as shown by the icon on the edge of the glass.
3. From the printer control panel display, touch Copy.
4. Scroll up or down to select the number of copies.
TIP: To save these settings as defaults for future jobs, from the printer control panel display, touch Copy, touch or Settings, and then touch Set As New Defaults.
5. Touch Black or Color to start the copy job.
NOTE: If you have a color original, selecting Black produces a black-and-white copy, while selecting Color produces a full-color copy.

You can customize copy jobs using the various settings Regards.

I have a Mac Air with 10.10 . Just purchased a HP Laserjet Pro M201dw printer. I can not get the duplex printing to work in Word or Pages. It does work for PDF files in Acrobat Pro. It won't for emails. In Pages I see two- sided but it is dimmed. I look at setups and it shows two -sided is off but can't find a way to change this setting. In the printer setting itself, the duplex box is checked. Need help. Did notice the driver only goes up to 10.9 but it says on Apple site of supported printers this one is listed.
Appreciate help in solving this issue.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

I am going on the guess that an old driver is still installed...

You should look for an Epson Stylus Color 740 or the higher-end 900 or 980, which are about 12 years old now. All have USB connectivity, and while the 900/980 is a better/faster printer, it's harder to find the ink tanks for it at the usual office supply stores. Ink tanks for the 740 series seem to be more readily available, without a special order. There were Mac versions of these printers (the 740i and 900i), with blue/ice housings that were color-keyed to match the fruit-colored "blueberry" iMac and Blue & White G3 mini-tower. There was no Epson printer that was color-keyed to the original Bondi Blue iMacs.

To answer your question, in that article it states:
NOTE: Print options only apply to documents. All photo files print at a default image size of 4 x 6 in (101.6 x 152.4 mm).

After some testing, I have found if you change the paper size > A4, and Image Size > Custom, then you can pinch to zoom the image to the size of your liking.

I have set up an inputstream and outputstream to the "ftp process" of java.lang.Runtime I have sent the command "dir" to ftp.
But How can I get it to print all the files etc of the "dir" sent to ftp process?
Also I have just read that it is perhaps better to buffer the STREAMS.
How do I do this for outputsteam? I think I have some clue to do for inputstream with bufferedreader?

1: Go into iTunes.
2: Right click on the song and choose 'Get Info' (or press cmd+i on a Mac).
3: In 'Info' change the album name to the one you want it to go into, when you start typeing it should automatically come up.
4: Check that the disk number and track number is correct. It should be automatic.
4: Press OK.
You should see it go into the album now.

It sounds like you cannot print from your network printer on your MacBook. Printer issues can be a but tough to nail down, but I would recommend trying the troubleshooting in this article named:

Follow these steps until the issue is addressed:
Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.

How can I get my network printer to print in color?

I have a Dell 3110cn color printer on my network. Since I did the Maverick update the printer will no longer print in color only b&w. It's using a generic printer driver. I had no problems before the update. It's a great workhorse printer. How can I get this connected properly?

Bruce777 solved this for me, thank you Bruce! My printer now works perfectly on my new wifi network!
Bruce's instructions, for anyone else having the same issue:
- delete any previously set up printers
- scrub old hp software and update software to get the hp 2.8 drivers
- remove the usb cable from the printer if you have one connected
- reset the printer network to hpsetup (hold down the power button and press network button 2x and then cancel 3x, release power button.)
- print out the wireless network test report (hold down the network button and press the update button 2x). verify the network name / ssid is hsetup
- got to sys prefs > network and change the mac wireless network to hpsetup
- go to the sys pref > print scan
- add the HP 8000 printer
- click on the options and supplies button and click on the Show Printer Webpage
- click on the networking tab > wireless in the left pane > start network wizard and change the network from hpsetup to your network
- finish (this page may freeze up. close the browser)
- go back to the sys prefs and change the wireless network back to your networt
- go to the printer and print out the wireless network test report (press network button and update button 2x). Check that the SSID is your network
- go to sys prefs > print scan > select your printer > options & supplies > show printer webpage > network info (check ssid and compare to wireless network test report)
- try printing something to your printer. It might take a little time the first print.

Thank you for helping me with the size of the print on my screen. The suggestion you made works well with the email font. I really wanted all the print on my computer to be larger. (Some of the print seems to be way too small.) Someone suggested I change the resolution settings. I did this, and changed it to 1024 X 640. That changed the size of the font on the toolbar at the top of the page, and that is what I really wanted, as well as all the other print on my screen. Nonetheless, I would like to thank you for your very helpful and prompt reply to my question.
