Can't get items created in outlook to sync to my iphone
Okay I am at a loss for words. I have tried everything even unchecked the do not sync over 30 days button. Nothing in my outlook on my computer will sync / transfer to the iphone. A few things are still there from a sync before I upgraded to the 2.0 version.
I have checked to make sure all events are the IPM .... status, they are. Anyone have any suggestions??

What kind of video? There are dozens of formats, some don't play on a Mac unless you have the right plug-ins for Quicktime. There are some things you should download to help you out.

These should cover EVERYTHING you'd ever encounter (though maybe not). Frankly, if it's not H.264 or w4v (or both), it doesn't belong on your mac.

I found a solution that worked for me:
What I did:
1. Uninstalled iTunes, but didnt need to remove other related software components
2. Downloaded and installed iTunes from here (as you suggested): iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
3. I didnt have to reset Sync History or change anything and it works!

Can't get my blackberry and outlook to sync
I have a web based email through go daddy that I am pulling into my outlook and blackberry. But I can't get my blackberry calendar and contacts to sync. I loaded the blackberry desktop but could not find the answer. I am sure there is an easy answer to this but it is driving me crazy.

On the BlackBerry check under Options | Advanced Options | Default Services. Make sure your default calendar is set to your godaddy account

I have a lot of files in Corel Painter 8's RIFF format. I want to write a script that opens a file and somehow forces Corel Painter 8 to save the file as a GIF. GUI scripting may be some help with the latter; now I am concentrating on finding RIFF files and opening them in Corel Painter 8.
I have a script that does a depth-first search of the folders starting at some root folder, using the Finder application to do the file-system stuff. It creates a list with
set docs to every document file of pages_folder whose file type = "RIFF"
as it loops through folders it adds to the list like this:
set more_documents to every document file of a_folder whose file type = "RIFF"
set docs to docs & more_documents
My naîve mental model is that docs is a list of document-file objects. Next I have a loop that attempts to strip out files for which a GIF file already exists (and is no older than the RIFF document). This works by deleting non-matching items like so:

set docs to items 1 thru (i - 1) of docs & items (i + 1) thru (length of docs) of docs

Finally it tries to open one of the files in Corel Painter 8 using the Finder:
open item 1 of docs using "Corel Painter 8"
This does not work. I get an error message
Finder got an error: Can't get item 1 of {document file "bar" of folder "foo" of folder "blah" of folder "pdc" of folder "Users" of startup disk, ... }."
It lists all of the files. (The error message appears in a sheet that extends off the bottom of the screen!) They are identified in the message as document-file objects. The curly braces are, I believe, the AppleScript notation for a list. I expect to be able to obtain the first element of a list with ‘item 1 of xs’. My assumption is that the Finder’s open command would expect a document file object, or at least would be able to cope with being asked to open a document. What am I missing here?

One suggestion: try
tell application "Finder" to open item 1 of docs
(without 'using "Corel Painter 8"')
As far as the Finder is concerned, "Corel Painter 8" is just a string of characters. And telling the Finder to open a file is just the same as double-clicking it: the Finder knows which app to use - as long as these are native Corel Painter 8 docs.

Applescript editor error - "can't get item 1 of false" when clicking cancel to close window.

I have made my first ever app which opens a webpage, its very basic but when I click the cancel button to close the page I get an error pop up saying can't get item 1 of false. I have looked it up and tried a few suggestions but the error just changes instead of exiting the window like it should
The code looks like this, I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this ...

Thanks for looking and sorry if this is in the wrong sectionThe choose from list command will return a list of items chosen (even if there is only one) or the boolean false if the cancel button is pressed, so you just need to check for the cancel result. Since you are only selecting one item, one way would be to coerce the result to text (since you need to get the choice from the list anyay) and compare that - note that you don't need to target Safari for the open location command, since it is from Standard Additions.

My computer crashed and I lost everything. It was the only computer with Sync on it and I cannot get my recovery key: how can I get all my bookmarks from that Sync account? I have a ton of bookmarks/saved password and the only way to get on sync is create a new recovery key and lose all of my information.
Is there any way to get my stuff back without creating a new recovery key and losing all my old stuff?It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.

I've forgotten my passcode and can't get into the phone to turn off "find my iphone" in order to restore it... Can anyone help?
If you know the password to your apple id login - you can then do a restoration once you have put your device into recovery mode using itunes.
read this article to give you direction how to put your device into recovery mode.
Once you have put in your apple id login and password this then will allow you to restore the device once the device is placed in recovery mode.

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts. -

I downloaded the Keynote app to use on my iPad and because of iCloud, it is trying unsuccessfully to download onto my iPhone. How can I get it to stop attempting to download onto my iPhone? It says waiting and I can't delete it (no X to click). Thx!
Did you try shutting down the device? Resetting? Disabling iCloud? Disabling auto-update?
I'd find the problem that is keeping the download from proceeding and fix that so that the process can finish...sounds like it may be your connection or a server issue, in which case you may need to wait. -
