Can't get .Mac or .Me e-mail on computer

Ever since the system problem on March 15, I have been unable to receive e-mail at my .mac or .me or .icloud (never use this one) addresses on my MBP. I can send and receive on my iPhone and my iPad, but I can only send from my MBP.
I have read that logging out of iCloud on the computer and logging back in is supposed to take care of this, but when I've attempted to do this, I get a couple of warning messages, the more serious one dealing with the loss of all calendars. I've cancelled.
It's very important that I receive my e-mail on ALL devices. I'd appreciate any advice that allows me to accomplish this without loss of any data. Yes, I have hourly backups and my mail, contacts, bookmarks, and calendars are synced through the cloud, but I don't understand why I can't get the mail on my computer.

Your calendars etc. reside on the iCloud server; when you sign out they will disappear from your Mac (though not from the server) and when you sign back in they wll re-appear. Doing this should set Mail up again to access your email.

The odd thing is that my colleague and me use the same release mountain lion and we received the same email from someone on Outlook2007. He received the mail with the attachment, whilst I saw a "Winmail.dat". It already happened to me on snow-leopard, some month ago. Up til today I don't know what the difference between our machines is.
But it is interesting: the same OS, the same mail-clients (Apple Mail) and still different results.
Note: on my machine it used to work properly. It just suddenly happened that I started to receive winmail.dat files in stead of proper attachments.
When I have more time on hand, I cant try to find out why this happens.

If it's a Mac font and you're on Windows, you can't. If you are also on a Mac, you'll need to purchase the fonts (fonts are generally non-transferable, like software. One of the reasons pdf exists), install them and try your edits.
But it's best to edit the original document and create a new pdf when finished.

Try this to start:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

It is possible, though not through the GUI. And as Dave points out, asking for a receipt does not mean that you will get one. The magic incantations for requesting receipts are detailed, amongst other places, in this article. It requires using the Terminal, and once set affects all messages you send until you unset it again.
If you search this forum for read receipts (the topic surfaces frequently) you should find a helpful Applescript for turning them on and off, to save using the terminal.

I have installed Adobe Creative Cloud for teams CC Packages which says that Acrobat XI Pro is installed. Your support page says it does not install Acrobat and I have to look in the Extensions folder for an MSI file. Also I now administer the teams and have accepted the invitation to I received to be a team member and download the apps. The admin page shows that I have been sent an invitation but does not show my account as "ACtive" unlike my other team members. I tried to use the link in the invite to accept it become active but the link displayed an error saying I had already accepted the invite... why is no account not active?
Finally what other product downloads in Creative Cloud do not actually download as part of the Creative cloud Packager for downloading the apps? e.g. acrobat and what else?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>Transfer Purchases
