Can't get mail from ipad after moving to icloud
I just moved my ipad (imac and iphone) to the cloud last night and now don't have any emails on my ipad. My iphone doesn't recognize the move either.
Should I just go in to the store and get this fixed or is a quick fix?
Moved to the cloud in what way?
With a new Apple iCloud account?
Your iPhone doesn't recognize what?

Hi People!
Please help...I want to know how can i get photos from ipad to the computer, that were synchronized previously to ipad but from another pc that i dont have access anymore and these pics are now only found in this ipad and no other place.Hi Alan,
Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now... -
After the last update, Thunderbird can not get mail from RCN POP3?
On a WINDOWS 7 PC (Dell Inspiron 15) Thunderbird was automatically updated June 12.
After the update it can not get my email from my service provider (RCN).
It seems to connect with pop.rcn.com but then it hangs, and no email comes.

Moving the /My Music/ folder will not prevent iTunes from opening. That only contains the iTunes library, not the application files. Moving that folder would only get you an empty library when you open iTunes.
I suggest you reinstall iTunes. -

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Can't get mails from server anymore !!
Hi there,
I am using Mail 2.1.3 with Tiger 10.4.11 on a G5 bi pro, and since a couple of days, e-mails from one of my POP accounts are not downloaded from the webmail server any longer... I can see them on the server, Mail 2.1.3 logs in successfully, but it seems that it simply doesn't download them...
I have rebuild and re index all boxes already.
I can send mails from that account with no problems, though and Mail 2.1.3 works fine with my others POP accounts.
Can anybody help me on that issue ?
Thank you very much.
Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S165)
G5 Power PC 2 x 1.8 GHzI'm not aware of any limits. Before we do anything & to be safe...
On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Then, we can either trash the above file & setup Mail on running it again to exactly what we have now, or not trash it but in Mail Preferences>Accounts>Advanced... uncheck enable this account & uncheck Include when checking for new Mail.
Then setup a new Account identical to the problem one with only some slight change to the Description that must be unique. -
I'm having trouble getting mail on my iPad. I keep getting a message that the settings are not correct, but they are.

Can't delete apps from iPad after loading ios6
Icons will vibrate but no x appears. ITunes is missing. Crazy, I know.
That did it. Strange though that those would both get set to off after loading ios6. Thanks.

HT4929 OS 10.5.8: Can't get mail to work using the recommended icloud settings
Grandma has a G5 imac running 10.5.8 and a .mac account under my master account. Moved her to icloud today, and can login via icloud.com and can see her mail there. Read the article, and using 'Mail' (Vs 3.6)on her mac, deleted her old .mac account, and tried to set up a new account manually, using the settings in the article: imap.mail.me.com, SSL on, her usual user name, and her password (which, btw, works fine on the icloud.com site)
Also, for outgoing, used smtp.mail.me.com, SSL, etc, etc
Tried it 5 times, doesn't work.
Watched a youtube video, where it worked, followed exactly, didn't work! Help, anyone? ThanksI found the answer to this problem on a Nov 2011 posting. Amazing that the current icloud migration notices don't clarify this:
If you were to start a brand new icloud account, they would require at least 8 characters, upper and lower cases, including numbers. If however you are migrating a .mac or .me account to icloud, your old password may not meet those requirements. So, icloud keeps rejecting the attempt to set up an account via the 'Mail' app.
You need to go to http://appleid.apple.com to sign in with your old password, then change to one meeting the new requirements. Do not use http://iforgot.apple.com
Thanks to DendeNYC!!!! -
I use Mail to check multiple accounts. When I receive the same e-mail in multiple accounts, actions applied to an e-mail in one account often (though not always) affect duplicate messages in other accounts.
Example 1
Someone sends an e-mail to both me and my wife. Mail is set up to check both accounts. If I open the message in my Inbox, it marks it as read in my Inbox as well as in my wife's Inbox.
Example 2
For historical reasons, I have chosen to have all my e-mail forwarded (by the server) to a second account, to be used essentially as an un-touched archive of all incoming mail. If I manually move a message from my main account Inbox to another mailbox, the destination mailbox will end up with 2 copies, one from my main account Inbox and the other from the "un-touched archive" Inbox (which has obviously now been altered unintentionally).
Does anyone know of a way to prevent this behavior. I can manage my own duplicates. I don't want Mail to do it for me.
(Btw, I already have the "AlwaysShowDuplicates" option set using "defaults delete com.apple.mail AlwaysShowDuplicates")There are certainly many ways of organizing things so that Mail never has to deal with multiple accounts and duplicate messages (separate user accounts, separate computers, separate mail clients, etc., etc). That's just not what I was asking. I'd like to know how to fix Mail's behavior when it does have to deal with multiple accounts and duplicate messages.
I was hoping there might be another hidden preference or something (and by the way my original post should have said "defaults write com.apple.mail AlwaysShowDuplicates -bool true", instead of the "defaults delete ...") -
My email account account(msn.com) was hacked so I changed my passwod at msn.com and then als0 changed it on myiPad under settings/mail.
Now I cannot send email or photos with email.
Suggestions? I only have an iPad as I am traveling.
I can send emails if I sign in through Safari.Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional. -
I can't get mail to work after complete re-install
Every time I open mail I can click on one message, when I click on the second it hangs and must be force quit. I deleted preferences, mail folder, etc. and reinstalled mail. Problem still exists. I am able to access the account with my iphone and t-bird. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
I didn't get mail from DAC after the end of running an execution plan,
Although I get test mail form DAC.
I've tried to define my self with each level, but it doesn't help.
Does anyone know how the problem can be solved ?
Thank you1. Verify the Email Configuration ( Tools--> ETL Management--> DAC Server Setup)
Send a 'Test Email'
I get a 'Test Email'
2. Add Email Recipients with Notification Level 1 or 5 or 10 (Setup-->Email Recipients)
Restart DAC Server after Email Configuration. Run a Test ETL and check the status.
I've tested each of Levels and restarted DAC
but it didn't help
