Can't get MDT imaging to work

This is driving me crazy.  I'm hoping someone here can help me out.  Here's the current configuration:
Windows 7 PC
4 GB RAM
MDT 2012
Windows AIK
Windows ADK for 8.1
I've created a vm for the reference image and have the .wim file ready to go.  The task has been created and I can boot to the deployment screen.  I make all my selections and the installation works fine.  Once it does it's first reboot, however,
after a few minutes of finding and installing devices it errors out.
The first error is "Windows could not parse or process unattend answer file [C:\windows\Panther\unattend.xml] for pass [specialize].  A component or setting specified in the answer file does not exist."
I click OK on the window that popped up and the computer reboots, then I get another window that says "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error.  windows installation cannot proceed.  To install Windows, click "OK"
to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."
I've looked through the unattend.xml and I can't see where it's getting hung up.  I looked in the logs and can't see it there, either.
Help?

Sounds like the IE10 bug. Did they never fix that?

Search and remove the Internet Explorer component from the “Specialize” section which will be similar to this:

JoeZeppy, this did the trick.  It was indeed the IE10 issue and I used the first link you provided to change things so that it ignored the IE10 Welcome Page.  Thanks a ton!
Now I just have to figure out how to add the ability to have the PC joined to the domain with the computer name I want to use as part of the MDT deployment and how to get the programs I want to install silently to actually install (Adobe Reader XI, as an
example).
Thanks!

  • Can't get rollover images to work as links [was: I have a question if someone could answer?]

I have fixed my page so I can preview it and everything is working fine but now I cant get my rollover images to work as links.  When I go to put in the link like normal the rollover behavior stops working and it is just the original image.  Any way for me to turn it into a link but still keep the rollover image change?

Without one, you're asking for an answer based on guesswork.

  • Can't get an image on my HDTV...

I got a mini-DVI to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cord that connects to my tv. When I plugged it in my Macbook Pro flashed blue but I got no image on any of the inputs on my tv. I also checked the system preferences to detect displays but got nothing to show up there.
How can I get my tv to work as a monitor? Mirror or dual screens.. I'd be happy either way.

It seems like you got a defective adapter.

  • How can we get the image which is stored in clipboard by labview, is there any functions available like text from clip board

How can we get the image which is stored in clipboard by labview, i can get the text in clipboard by using invoke node directly.but i cannot get the image, is there any functions or vi available.(image is in Png format)

The Read from Clipboard method is, unfortunately, limited to text. If the clipboard contains an image then you need to use OS-specific functions calls. This is an example program for Windows. It's old, but it should still work.

  • I can't get my ichat to work.

i can't get my ichat to work. I made an aol login but it says my password is incorrect, which i know it is not. I have a MobileMe but i can't remember the password to that. Every time I try to change my password it just changes my msn address on apple id. I have ox s lion operating system but, I couln't get the ichat to work before that either. I can use facetime tho.

    HI,
If you created an AIM Name here then can you now Login Here > https://settings.aim.com/
AIM allow some other characters that alphanumeric ones but these are limited to ! @ # and the . (full stop/dot)
Is it possible that you have used other characters in the password ?
If you created an AOL Login have you used the full name ([email protected]) in the name in iChat ?
AIM never tell you directly that it is the Password.
You can get to infer it is the password when compared to other messages but it does normally refer to  "Name or Password".  (I just want to check that is what you are seeing)
    MobileMe Name
    Checking your Own Computer
Open Keychain Access in the Applications/Utilities folder
Have the Login item to left highlighted
Have the Passwords items listed if using lion lower left
Check the list on the right for your MobileMe name.  It may possibly listed with an Cloud icon or the "A" created by ther pen brush and ruler icon.
It may also get listed twice or more if you have tried different passwords and asked for them to be saved.
    Double click one.
In the new Panel that open change to the Access tab and check iChat is in the list if using Allow Specific items.
    Return to the Attributes tab
Tick the Show Password box  (Dialogue biox appears needing your Mac User Password and to Allow Once
If this password is correct then delete any other entries.
If incorrect then check others and edit one if required.
(I am hoping you will see one you recognise)
The iForgot site can be used to change the password.
It requires you have access to the linked email you used.
Or that you remember the security questions that you gave for the MobileMe name.
(Presumably you know your Date of Birth which you also get asked. )

thank you, I have the adaptors so glad that would work.  I just heard adaptors burn out often.  So Just thought for my main iMac computer, a plug would be best.  I will get one once I move.
Any other suggestions or things I should know about apple products in Ireland.  I know there are no Apple stores there.
An adaptor doesn't burn out. It merely serves as a means to connect the power prongs on your device to the power supply.
I believe you are thinking of a transformer, which you do not need. A transformer converts one voltage to another.
You don't need to do that as the power supply of modern electronics can take almost any worldwide voltage.
Look at the label on the device. It should indicate the input power acceptable of 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
Additionally, I found the adapters cheaper in the UK than I found them in the US. They were available in most supermarket chains. I wasn't in Ireland, so I can't say one way or the other.
If you have something that doesn't have that input power spec, it would require a transformer.
On other items like electric clocks or things with motors, you can connect them up to a transformer and the voltage will be correct, but the frequency may not. For clocks, that will cause them to not keep time well. For motors, they will burn out.

    Here are the instructions:
Create devel catalog (appl from this catalog can damage your phone but don't have to so if you are not sure about your needs or skills dont use it and wait for official applications from Nokia or firmware update) The software hosted in Extras-devel is NOT ready for normal users! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't play with it unless you really know what you are doing. Be ready to file proper bug reports instead of posting complaints. Expected problems: crashes, battery drain, poor system performance, full disk space & more - SERIOUSLY! Don't play with Extras-devel if you haven't backed up your data or are prepared to re-flash your device.

    Distribution: fremantle
    Components: free non-free
    Refresh catalogue
    Install fAPN and fMMS
Run fAPN and create new APN with MMS setting which you can get from your operator or find on this page (this may not be needed for all users, see note below)
Run fMMS and it will start with configuration
Put APN name the same you named your MMS APN point during fAPN configuration
Type MMSC which you can take from your operator
Type your number starting with +
Put max size of pics you want to have in outgoing MMS
Save all and start sending MMS from fMMS menu.
It is very important to put correct setting in new APN and be sure if there is proxy needed in your operator.
WHEN YOU GO TO MMS to set your configuraions, the information should look like this

    Hi Sister Kate,
If you change the Apple ID you are using on an iPhone or other iOS device, there are several places you need to change it on the device. See this article -

Will not work.  To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported.  The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

The standard arch kernel includes all the required modules, at most you need to load them explicitly listing them in MODULES in /etc/rc.conf
You need also the hw specific stuff, that is i915 and intelagp. Check lsmod and see if they are loaded. If they are not, inspect dmesg and see if udev tries to load them and fails for some reason.
I remember some cases where intelagp and i915 are not loaded by udev in the right order, if this is your case you can try to list them in the right order in MODULES.
There should be no need to recompile the kernel or to install a particular version of dri (just use the arch packages for mesa, libdrm etc; but I guess you have them already)
