Can't get messages from my gmail account to my ipod touch to show up

Hello,
My daughter's ipod touch does not allow her to receive her email messages from her gmail account on the ipod touch. What do I need to do to have this work. It was working before I updated my iphone to icloud. At the time our accounts were linked since them I have seperated our accounts.

Actually i don't use with Service Provider, you know in the Turkey it's very expensive... I tried only with wireless lan. My salary can't cover Service Provider prices and I'm already use GSM not UMTS or 3G network for battery usage duration...

and you should use 587 port for smtp and use outgoing authentication option...

Can't get hubby's iPhone app account of my iPod Touch...HELP!

I just upgraded my 3-year-old 30gig for an iPod Touch. Hubby recently synched his iPhone on the same computer. Now I have this alert on the apps icon saying I have 14 updates, when I click "update all" it shows his account and asks for his password.
I don't want his app store account...I want my own and my own apps.
I can log into MY iTunes from my iPod Touch, but the app store account has his log-in attached to it.
How do I fix this? Going through "Settings" isn't working.

We purchased a new iPhone 3GS and sync'd it with an existing account in we use in iTunes. Since then I have created my own iTunes account and have been able to log in successfuly with it on the iPhone (in the iTunes store area). The issue is that when you go to the Apps store on the iPhone, it only remember the original account that was used to first sync it. I cannot get it to recognise that I have logged in with another iTunes account on the iPhone.
There is one response suggesting asking the iTunes store to transfer purchases... this is not the issue. The issue is that if you set up the iPhone with an existing iTunes account other that the one you will be using with it in the future, it will only acknowledge the account in the iTunes (app), but it will not acknowledge the secondary account in the Apps (app)!
Apple can you fix this?
I now have too much data to reset the phone and I am afraid of losing contacts and alike as well.

You have to look at the email protocol being used. the Apple email system uses IMAP, does Tinyworld use IMAP or POP?
Does the email system permit delivery receipts to be requested?
Just some of the things one needs to determine from the information provided by the email service provider.

Save the file from Gmail onto your computer and add it to iTunes. How you save from Gmail is a Gmail question (their own support pages), not an iTunes question.

1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:

Can mail get messages off my .edu account?

I'd like to save all of my old emails, but I really don't want to have to forward all of my messages from my .edu account to my gmail account, especially since that totally messes up all the original fields.
Is there a way that mail can get the messages from the .edu account? It got all my gmail messages, but I didn't have any lucking with the other account. I'm not too sure what's required for getting mail from different accounts, so any info would help. Thanks.

To get off your mails from your .edu account, you need to know the access data (server name, your username, password). Best way to get it is probably one of the system administrators.
In Apple Mail, create a new account (via File - Add Account…) complete the assistant to create an account and get all your Mail off your .edu account.

I assume you're using GMail as your primary e-mail account? Try this. This is how I am setup. Not only will it move all your contacts to your phone but any changes made in GMail or on the iPhone will be sync'd with the server.

Note... I think this will delete your existing contacts from your device. You will want to use iTunes to back them up and get them imported into GMail before you sync your device wtih GMail.
