Can't get Microsoft FrontPage to connect to Oracle 9.2i

After considerble discussion in the microsoft.public.frontpage.client newsgroup (subject: "Database | Results ... won't ... through Oracle ODBC"), we had to give up and conclude that there didn't seem to be a straightforward way to connect to Oracle 9.2i via the FrontPage database wizard.
I tried a system Oracle ODBC DSN via MS Access and it worked; but, ` can't get the same DSN to work from FrontPage. From FrontPage it generates a user/password error, though the same user/password works from MS Access.
I tried an OLEDB connection and still received the following:
Server error: Unable to connect to a database from the web server using the
connection string 'Provider=MSDAORA; PWD=myPwd; UID=Administrator; Data
Source=glOdb.mikecoughlin.net'.
The following error message comes from the database driver software; it may
appear in a different language depending on how the driver is configured.
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
Number: -2147217843 (0x80040e4d)
I'm certain that this user/password combination is valid e.g. it works in Enterprise Manager to view tables etc.
So, my question is:
Does anyone have a/the workaround to use FrontPage to connect to Oracle 9.2i ?
thanks,

Trying use ODBC driver of Oracle Client, available on this Web Site.

    Hey agnesfromcopenhagen k,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with Mail on your iPad. The following resource provides some troubleshooting steps. What kind of account are you using? Some internet providers require that you be connected to your home Wi-Fi (or for work accounts, inside your corporate Wi-Fi/firewall). Also, some email accounts require two-step authentication. You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

  • Can't get bb curve to connect to computer, w/ new USB, downloaded desktop manager................anything I'm missing? Help! Thanks, Holly

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you can't answer the questions, then you leave us to pretty much guess at what could be wrong. Are you sure you don't know what PC OS you are running?
Given what you are willing to do, there's not much that can be done here. You see, this is free to you, and voluntary by me (and the others who participate here). I get nothing helping you out here. This is not any part of your formal support. As such, there's nothing we can do beyond use the information you provide in order to guide us to what might be going on. But, so far, we have nothing from you at all.
But, let me continue to try again...can you tell me the steps you attempt? And the results of each step? After all, you say you "can't get bb curve to connect to computer"...so, you must have tried something. What did you try? What happened with each step along the way of what you tried?
If you can't participate in providing information, free support such as this will be pretty useless to you...fee-based support would be your next step, I'd think. If someone get's paid to help you, they might have tools available that the volunteers here don't have.
