Can't get Movie Exported in Quicktime format to work in iWeb and Website
Help!! I just completed a movie in iMovie and exported it in Quicktime Format. It loads into iWeb seamlessly, and I can view it in iweb, but once I save the files to a folder and then the folder to my host (Godaddy, for what it is worth) I get the Blue Quicktime Q with the question mark in the middle. I have downloadd the movie in different sizes, from as much as 19 Mb down to 4.5 Mb and it is all the same. It is for a real estate listing I have. For what it is worth. I created my first website in iweb 1.0 and imovie 06 (http:www.1055Prince.info) and it works great. I created my second website with iweb 2.0 and imovie 08 (http:www.1045Prince.info) and it will not work. I like the design of the 2.0 template better, but I like the fact that the 1.0 template is working flawlessly. Any help is greatly appreciated.
iWeb writes very clever page code and your page had a very common error.
http://www.1045prince.info/VideoTour_files/VideoTour.js is a file created by iWeb that points to your QuickTime file.
If you use the Finder to edit the name prior to Publishing in iWeb things will be just fine and the link will work as designed. Do not edit any file name before uploading to your server and make sure your files use "Web safe" naming schemes (no spaces, punctuation or illegal characters) and the proper file extension.

Every time I try and export my movies imovie closes out.
=\ I've gotten all the updates as far as I know and my computer is brand new.Are you saying that iMovie crashes when you try to export? If so, there might be some corruption to the iMovie plist preference file> User>Library>Preferences>com.apple.imovie.plist
You might try trashing that file then restarting iMovie and trying again. Wouldn't hurt to repair permissions too.
Another trouble shoot method is to create a new user account and try the export from there. -
I have aperture 3.2.4 on my laptop and have the serial number, but just bought a new MAC and I can't get the Ver 3.0 link to work. Anyone know how to move it from my laptop to our new mac?

That link is no longer available. Use "Migration Assistant" to copy your Applications from your old mac to the new Mac, then immediately run software update. Aperture Version 3.2 will not run on your new mac with Mavericks, you will have to Upgrade to version 3.4.5 at least - you can download this update from the Support page: Aperture 3.4.5
Then launch Aperture and enter your registration key and try now too update from version 3.4.5 to 3.5 from the AppStore. The AppStore will change your Aperture registration to an AppStore version, so you will able to reinstall by downloading from the AppSTore in future.
If you want transfer only Aperture and no other applications, do it manually: You will have to copy not only the application but folders from the libraries as well:
/Applications/Aperture.app
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/

I can not get movies to transfere from my computer to my IPad, I am using Window 7 64 byt and have down loaded the lastest version of Itunes from Itunes. It will act like it is getting ready to sync (just like it did in the past) and then it stops

Did you click on the Firewire word? What do see to the right of it?
If you see something like the picture and nothing below the "Maximum speed" line, then the camera is not being "seen" by your mac. Otherwise a description of the camera should appear in the right pane. -

How do I get the Convert to Word function to work?
The pane next to the document has a space for the file name and the target conversion (Microsoft Word) and a conversion button. I press it and nothing happens, and no inquiry comes up asking for my Acrobat user name and password. Just no action. I I have Windows 7.

What happens when you try? Error Messages? What version of Acrobat? What OS? Does the document have real text or is it a scan which is a picture of text?

I can't get into iPhoto or iMovie since I update to Mavericks and can"t update IPhoto and IMovie either. A message pop up stating that under this ID I didn't buy it or purchas was canccelled. What is that?
Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until the problem is resolved.

I recently bought a new macbook pro and set it up using the migration assistant from my mac mini. I can't get the text message forwarding feature to work with both computers. It keeps saying that I only have 2 devices setup, my iPad and my macbook pro. When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device. I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer. Any ideas?

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.) -

It is probaly just "inline" ie part of the text.

You can't. There is no memory card. It uses flash memory that's soldered to the logic board. If you didn't back it up, your data is gone.

I have a brand new IPhone 4G. I can't get it to ring. I have gone into settings and disengaged vibrate, and have engaged the ring button on side of phone. But everytime I dial my number from a different phone, it doesn't ring. Rather the call goes directly into my voice mailbox (ogm heard immediately); not even one ring! Please advise
Well, if it goes to VM immediately the call isn't reaching your phone, so no wonder it isn't ringing. Do you see a network displayed in the upper left of the screen? Have you activated the phone by connecting to a computer with the latest version of iTunes? Have you called your carrier to make sure they have provisioned it correctly?

She can't from iCloud without setting up your iCloud account on her phone. But just sync the same apps from your iTunes Library on your computer to her phone.
Your wife should setup her own iCloud account - which is separate to the iTunes Store accounts.

Itouch 3rd Gen wont rotate. Rotate lock is NOT on.
