Can't get my deskjet 1050 printer to work as wireless

How do I to use my deskjet 1050 printer as wireless by connecting it to my router? Windows 8 64-bit. It keeps saying, I need to install the wireless connection procedure, but I can't find anything like that. My router is supposed to be able to turn any printer into a wireless.

Even though this printer isn't wireless, there is a way to to use it wirelessly!Here's what you need:Google Chrome on whatever computer you're trying to use the printer froma Google account so you can sign into chrome DO THESE FIRST STEPS ON THE COMPUTER THAT THE PRINTER IS ALREADY CONNECTED TO VIA USB CABLE okay so what you have to do is open up chrome and in the top right hand corner there is a little button looks like three stacked horizontal linesclick that and sign into google chrome (a gmail account works or create a new account)then what you have to do is click that same button and go to settingsscroll all the way down and click advanced settingsonce again, scroll all the way down until you get to Google Cloud Printclick manage and then click add printersit will go to another screen and you should be able to search/add the hp deskjet (this may take a little patience)once everything is connected, all that is left is to print go to the customize and control button (that 3 horizontal lines button in the top right hand corner in crhome) go to settings > advanced settings > cloud print > manage and click the hp deskjeton the left hand side click print and click upload file to printthen pick whatever fille you want to print and WAHLAA! its printing (as long as ur printer is powered on of course)this way you can print wirelessly without losing formatting like you would if you uploaded it to google docsnow you can print to this printer from any computer as long as you are signed in from chrome and the printer is on! Don't know, how did you hook it up (what kind of cable)? You can send audio through an HDMI connection provided a MacBook Pro is (I believe) from 2009 or newer.
Converting to VGA or DVI will not send audio - if you're using that kind of connection, you'll need to add an audio cable from the headphones port.
Also check the Sound Out setting in the Sounds panel of System Preferences.

Can't get the Kodak 5100 printer to work with air port

Any one know how to get the Kodak 5100 to work from air port on this Time Capsule. I have tried all the other things I have read but this thing will not print. I run a network diagnostics and it tells me server failed. And the way I feel Apple can take the Time Capsule back, so many problems took two days to get it up and running. Did Apple make this peice of junk.

did you delete your printer from the printer list (- sign), and re-add it (+ sign)?

I see you do not wish to purchase the adapter online and are having difficulty locating one locally. I Googled DVI adapter at Staples.com and they carry the cables. You can try any computer shop or office depot, staples any place like that, they usually carry the accessories, if not if you spoke with a sales person, they would most likely order it for you. They would also be able to assist you with getting the correct cable for your situation. They also produce cables with different connection on either end, you could also check into.

in the iPhoto preferences change the print products country to the UK and give it a try - there may be some restirctions on billing but it has worked for some people

Im not exactly sure what you mean by color profile..can you specify? So i have a dslr canon and take great portraits and tune them to exactly how I want them to look, they dont print at all like the colors presented on my screen. If i antique them then they print yellowish. Ive even tried printing them at walgreens because i thought it was my new printer. Hp hasnt let me doown til now. Is ot a printer setting? Ive never had this kind of printing issue.

Power off the printer.
From the , select System Preferences.
Choose Sharing.

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

As it's not one of the printers that support AirPrint (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356), you will probably need an app - see if Kodak have their own app in the store, or there are third-party apps such as Print Central For iPad and Print n Share which might work with it. You could also do a search on here to see if anybody else has the same printer and see if they mention a particular app.

You want to make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed to support airprint. You can find that software by navigating your control panel on the printer to updates.
Once this has been performed it should be viewable as an Airprint compatible device through the ipad.
You can also download the ePrint Home & Biz app for free from the apple catalogue and use that method as well with much the same result, as well as online management capabilities on the printer.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I had trouble installing on 10.8.

Be patient with the download, it takes some time ... When it has downloaded, follow the install instructions. It works well.
