Can't get my gmail via exchange email working again

I've been using gmail via the Microsoft Exchange server for sometime now and I recently had to delete the account off my iPhone and when I tried to re add the account I kept getting the message "Unable to verify account information" I've tripple checked the passwords and account info and all are in correct order and work in the normal gmail option but not the Exchange option.
I've also tried turning of the phone and completely deleting the existing email account on my iPhone in case of conflict. As well as trying to connect over 3G and WIFI but so far nothing has worked.
I'm on iOS 4.1 with an iPhone 4 if that makes any difference.

same issue with my phone as well. but mine is an exchange account with my company. They didnt made any chnages. to add further, if i add as an OTHER email account it works fine but not as an EXCHNAGE account.
IOS4.0.1.

Hi, I bought the latest MacBook Air about four months ago pre-installed with Lion. About two months ago I bought the VGA adapter so I can use my MBA in clamshell mode. Your phone is in recovery mode. All data on it are already lost. You must connect your phone to your computer and restore through iTunes.

I did not change settings, or download a new version of Firefox. it just stopped working. There are other scenarios where it does still work (for example, if I want to open a link on a web page, I can right click and open the link in a new tab), but if I simply want to have multiple websites open at once on my PC, I am forced to have multiple versions of Firefox open, as my New Tab option seems to be disabled or something. Purchase an iPhone 4s. There is no way to make yours work other than jailbreaking and even that is no longer guaranteed to work, and it is a topic we cannot help you with here.

Hello Nokia Support,
Since I upgraded to firmware 22.007 I can't get a list of suggested email addresses in the "TO" field from my contacts addressbook.
I've tried to hard reset, and also tried to overwriting of the firmware at the dealer but no help!
Also tried to erase my account at email.nokia.com
I use Nokia Massaging and NOT exchange.
My mailbox is Gmail.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Hi there. I am trying to use OS X Mail to set up email via IMAP for Business Catalyst email, but I am getting an error when trying to connect to the IMAP server on port 143. The Mail application connection doctor points to the incoming mail server as the problem. SMTP seems to connect just fine. I have also tried to connect via multiple ISPs and am getting the same issue. All of my setup information looks to be just fine. Any suggestions?

I have been using gmail via IMAP for quite a while on my iPhone, but decided to switch to gmail via exchange. It's really great - instead of polling for emails, they are pushed to the phone - this means a saving on data costs as it's not polling every 15 mins!
The only problem I am having is that I currently have my own domain name, so my "reply email address" is different to my gmail one.
When using IMAP, there was the option to set a return address. Under Exchange, the first field is "email" - I thought this might be the return address (as it doesn't seem to have anything to do with my gmail account details) but when I send an email from it, the return address is just my standard gmail one...
Does anyone know a solution to this?!

I could be wrong, but it sounds like Facebook imported to your contacts. I have the Xfinity app on my new ipad, too, but none of my stored contacts from the online version are showing, only what I manually entered into the iPads contacts are there. When I did add the FB app, I did not grant it permission to push and pull from my ipad (not a fan of FB knowing every detail about me), so that may be where our difference lies. You could try to open the app and change your privacy settings, or delete it and then reinstall without granting permissions to integrate.
I'm sure someone here with a lot more knowledge then me can probably diagnose your issue better, though. Good luck!

I've managed to get some back but via a slightly different method.
Because the files weren't there, when I deleted them from my library they actually disappeared from the list.... So I created a new library (backed up my original one) and then synched that with Match so that all the files appeared. I'm just going through the ones I'm missing clicking 'download' and then when they're all back on my hard drive I'll revert to the previous Library which will hopefully pick up all of the recovered files.

And, exactly, what are you trying to do? Your phone won't pair with your iPad, by Bluetooth, unless you're trying to Tether...file transfer, by Bluetooth is not supported on any iPhone. So, unless you're trying to Tether, you can quit trying to pair...it won't.
