Can't get my keyboard shortcuts to work. HELP PLEASE!!

I literally have been at this FOR HOURS. I'm about to pull out my hair.
I need to get to the keyboard shortcut part of premiere cc, but I press on it and it doesn't bring anything up, plus I also try putting in the shortcut for the shortcut keyboard and also nothing is happening. Please, can't figure this out PLEASE HELP ME!!!

That means that the link has an onclick action. Such links need to be left-clicked. Make sure that you do not block JavaScript.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I updated my ipod touch to ios 5 and now it wont restore and i can't get anything back...need help please!

I updated to IOS 5 tonight on my ipod touch 4th gen and now it won't restore. I can't get it to restore from a backup either. It either says "iTunes could not restore the iPod "____" because the backup session failed or i get error -50. It appears all of my songs and apps are in iTunes, but I guess I don't know where to go from here to get things back to how I had them before. Is there a way to access an early backup to try that? or am I going down the wrong path? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

don't ask me why this worked, but it did for me last night. In iTunes, where your device shows up on the left side, I double clicked on it. It then allows you to change the name like you can for changing file/folder names. I changed 1 letter on the name of the ipod and hit enter. I then right clicked on the new ipod name and chose restore from backup. My choices for backup was the original name of the ipod only and not the name i had just changed it to. I told it to go ahead and backup from the old name figuring I would get the same results, but not the case. It restored it with all app, music and pictures with one exception...all of the settings, email setup and information within the apps was lost. Atleast that an easier fix than starting all over. Hope this will work for you guys too with the same issue.

Can't get online- even with strong signal- HELP PLEASE!!!

I have an ibook G4 with an Airport Extreme Card. For the past few months I have been able to go online at home, with absolutely no problems. My desktop at home is a PC with high-speed modem and a wireless router connected. I also travel to school on a regular basis and can connect wirelessly there as well. My problem is, that for the past few days, I can't get online at home. I have a strong signal with the airport card, but both Safari and Firefox say "not connected to the internet" and tell me to refer to Network Diagnostics. I can't figure out why I can't get online. I have been at school during this time with the same laptop and have gone online with no problems at all. Not only that, but both my desktop at home, along with another laptop with wireless capabilities can also go online with no difficulties. I am new to Mac's so I don't have alot of knowledge. I am not sure if maybe my Network settings are wrong?? Any advice anyone could give would be sooo helpful. I have been pulling my hair out for days over this!

Try the following:
Delete Preferred Network(s)
- System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Configure
- In the "By default, join:" pull-down menu, select "Preferred networks"
- Delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list
Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
- Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
- Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
- Restart, or log out then back in.
Add Preferred Network(s)
- System Preferences > Network > AirPort > Configure
- In the "By default, join:" pull-down menu, select "Preferred networks"
- Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
- Restart or log out then back in.

Ok so right now i have a airport express, and i bought a xbox 360. I want a wired connection for my xbox 360, so the guy at bestbuy said to buy a dlink EBR-2310 switch so i would still have a wireless connection for all the laptops, phone, etc in my house, and still get a wired connection for my xbox from the switch.
How can i make this setup work?
Modem -> Dlink EBR-2310 Switch -> Airport Express
I tryed connecting it all but i cant load a single web page on anything connected to the airport express which is a big problem. PLEASE HELP I CANT RETURN THE SWITCH, THANKS.

Unfortunately the advice you got was not correct. The issue is that the modem is only expecting a single device to be connected to it. By connecting a Ethernet switch directly to the modem, the modem will provide an IP address to the first device it "finds." That means all other devices will not gain access.
What you needed to connect to the modem was a router with a built-in Ethernet switch, like the AirPort Extreme or similar router.

Can not install windows 7 pro using boot camp as mouse and keyboard will not work Help please

I have a new iMac and trying to install Windows 7 Pro using boot camp. I have reached the stage of starting to load windows from the DVD then discovered the mouse and the keyboards not working so I could not interact with windows installation.

Open, if not so already, the Windows formatter. Identify the BC Windows partition. It will be the one listed with the proper size you created and/or will be labeled as a C: drive. Be careful you select the right one or you may be corrupting the entire drive.
Format the partition as NTFS.

Welcome to Apple Communities.
You need to migrate some files to your Mac using Windows Migration Assistant. Migrate your Music folder and the folder with the photos. Then, in your Mac, you will have iTunes as you have in your old computer. After that, open iPhoto and drag the photos to it. Finally, connect your iPad to your Mac and sync it

Can't get in to "certain" apps. Help please

I am having trouble with my facebook, twitter and what's app apps on my iPhone 4S. They launch but do not update. With twitter and what's app, no content displayed except for the apps graphical background and both time out and shut down automatically. Facebook is displaying an outdated news feed, doesn't update and then closes itself. All other apps are working but these three which also happen to be my most used apps...
I tried to download an app and it is still waiting. This happened before and fixed itself overnight. I have tried re-booting but nothing has changed. I updated my phones carrier settings via iTunes after a prompt and it has been happening since then. Could this possibly be the cause? Is it something to do with the fact they are the most used?

Try deleting those apps and then reinstalling them from the app store! They would automatically update if you reinstlall them again and hopefully that solves the issue with the crashing.

OneNote 2013 - Locking Section keyboard shortcut not working

I have OneNote 2013 full PC version. I have a notebook stored somewhere in live.net that has a password protected section.
After I unlock the section when I want to lock it using the Keyboard Shortcut (CTRL+ALT+L) it does not work. I have tried every combination of alt and ctrl keys and even trying to shift the L sometimes.
The only thing that immediately locks the section is to open the Password Protection sidebar and clicking the button for "Lock All".
How can I get this keyboard functionality to work correctly?
I saw one or two posts about this in the Office 2010 forum, but never any answers.
Please recommend next step?

I tried what you described here and I was able to lock the section by using the Keyboard Shortcut (Ctrl+Alt+L). So you might have to try something first to see if this is a single issue or a OneNote issue.
Add a new section to a notebook for testing. Now add a password to that section. After confirmation that the password has been set try the Keyboard Shortcut after that. If that doesn't work you know the issue is a OneNote issue instead of a notebook issue.
That's important to know.
You don't have to click the password section to get it locked, you can also navigate to another section to lock the section that has been password protected. You can view these settings in File-Options-Advanced. My guess is that you already know that.
A last test you can try is resetting the ribbon. This will reset the ribbon to it's original layout. I don't know if you have made any customizations but if you did you will lose those so be careful! You can reset the ribbon by going to File - Options -
Customize Ribbon. On the right side of that dialog you will see a small button 'Reset'. Click that and try to use the Keyboard Shortcut again. Worth a shot.

Keyboard shortcut not working - nonbreaking hyphen - help

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I can't get the keyboard shortcut for nonbreaking hyphen to work. I can get the nonbreaking hyphen to insert if I insert it via the type menu but menus are such time wasters. I have even tried to make a new and different keyboard shortcut for nonbreaking hyphen and it will still not work. Any ideas of what needs to be corrected/purged/smashed with a hammer to get this to work?

Running InDesign CS3 5.0.2 on a PowerMac 2x2.66Ghz dual Core Intel Xenon, OS X 10.5.2, 2gigs ram 667 Mhz, and it sits on a crumby looking desk but I don't think the desk is the problem. ;)

Sigh. I figured out the problem. But thank you M Blackburn. Your response got me thinking about other shortcuts. Sure enough it was Universal Access that was causing the conflict. I must have hit command-option-8 at some point to turn on Zoom in Universal Access which then uses command-option-dash for the zoom out feature. Since I am already zoomed out nothing happened when I tried that key combination. Once I turned off that Zoom feature my keyboard shortcut in InDesign worked again.

Unless Verizon has a special provision in this regard that ATT has never had, Apple handles all iPhone repairs and exchanges under Apple's warranty.
There is a setting when capturing photos - Automatic, On, or Off for the flash when capturing photos.
If there is no flash when set to On or Automatic in a dark setting and no change after the standard troubleshooting steps which in order are:
Power your iPhone off and on.
An iPhone reset.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes from the backup.
Restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
Your iPhone has a hardware problem. You can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Also, can I remap the keyboard shortcut (~) that maximises the current panel?

In CS5, it's under Application and called "Maximize or Restore Frame." In CS5.5 it's also under Application, but you have two choices: "Maximize or Restore Active Frame" and "Maximize or Restore Frame Under Cursor." The latter is how CS5 works; the former is a new addition, and will only maximize/restore whatever frame is currently outlined in yellow, e.g. active.

Reluctant as I am to contradict Viking OS X, yes it is possible.
This is for Yosemite, it is slightly different in other versions of OS X.
Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts > + > Applications > Pages > Menu Title: PDF… > Keyboard Shortcut > hold down whatever combination you want > Add
As Viking says this won't choose Good, Better, Best but at least it gets you to that point. Unfortunately it always defaults to Good.
NB that PDF… has to be typed with ALL CAPS and the ellipsis is option ; or copy from here. It has to be literally what is in the menu.
You could make a more intelligent keyboard shortcut with 3rd party Apps like Spark [free] or QuicKeys or iKey or Shortcuts for Mac or Keyboard Maestro.
