Can't get my mail when use the USB Ethernet adapter
I can't get my mail when use the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter. If I use a wireless connection, there is no problem. The LAN which I'm trying to connect is behind a proxy server but the Internet is working 100%.
Hi ViK,
This sounds like a question for the network administrator of the location. Without knowing how the proxy is set it's impossible to know what it's blocking (incoming/outgoing). It sounds like it might be filtering the incoming mail server.

How can we get ADFSecurity work when used in OC4J, OID and OAM?
I am getting error in http server log "mod_oc4j: Response status=499 and reason=Oracle SSO, but failed to get mod_osso global context."
But I am not using Oracle SSO and my client doesn't want to use it either, I am using OAM SSO(CoreIDSSO) in my configuration. Please read the details below.
I am using ADFSecurity in an app that is protected by OAM. To migrate ADFSecurity permissions from
system-jazn-data.xml to OID, I used JAZNMigrationTool to populate OID with Grantees and Permissions. OAM gives login page, and authentication works fine.
But ADFSecurity is not working. ADFComponent Delete button is enabled even for roles that dont have permissions for the iterator delete.
- The app works fine when I use without OAM. ADF Security permissions work fine.
- The app works fine when used with OAM, but with ADFSecurity disabled (enforce=false).
- When I enforce ADFSecurity alongwith OAM, ADFSecurity is not working.
In the doc "Oracle Containers for J2EE Security Guide b28957", there is a mention of use of CoreIDPrincipal for permissions. Our OID Permissions entries show
LDAPRealmRole for attribute orcljaznprincipal. I am not sure if this could be the reason.
We have configured AccessServerSDK for the SOA instance and have policy for the urls in the policy manager. We have entries in orion-application.xml, orion-web.xml and system-jazn-data.xml as per the documentations.
How can we get ADFSecurity work when used with OID and OAM?Have you been able to successfully integrate OAS with OAM & OID? We have similar requriement and so far we have not been able to get it working.
We have application specific roles which we map to OID roles using orion-application.xml.
Any pointers to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,

iphone 4s getting hot up when using the network. is it a sim problem or battery problem?
You posted in the iPad forum instead of the iPhone forum. To get answers to your question, next time post in the proper forum. See https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa I'll request that Apple relocate your post.

Can we get row counts when using dbms_datapump?
When using dbms_datapump, is there a way to get the rows loaded for each table, similar to the log files when using the command line? I can't seem to find anything. I'm trying to import. Database is 10g r2.
if you don't have to use DBMS_DATAPUMP and can use external tables for the import (both work exactly same way), then you can use ROWCOUNT
INSERT INTO MYTABLE SELECT * FROM EXTERNALTABLE;
v_number_of_rows := SQL%ROWCOUNT ;
COMMIT;
if you have to use DBMS_DATAPUMP then look at "worker status types" in this document

Can't get speaker sound when using Mophie battery case
Hello,
Is there a way to make my phone's speakers enable when using the Mophie? Just to explain, the Mophie is a batter pack case, that has an apple plug on the bottom. It works great and all, but my phone speaker's go off. Similar to using a docking clock/radio and the speaker will go through that device. The Mophie doesn't have its own speakers though, so I can't use the speakers as I use it.
Thanks!
-RickIt shouldn't do that. Talk to the manufacturer. If it's shutting down the speakers on the phone, either your dock connector is dirty or the juice pack is defective.

Can I use any USB-Ethernet adapter, or do I need to buy the Apple part?
I'm about to get an Air and do the migration from my old PowerBook. Can I use the Netgear USB-Ethernet adapter for the Air, or do I need to buy a new Apple part?
Little update for the usb to ethernet adapter is in order. Both adapters are producing Gigabit ethernet max. Keep in mind that new macbook air has the usb 3 version ports at 5 Gigabit internal speed where Thunderbolt has 10 Gigabit per chanel internal capacity. In ether case more than suficient to provide Gigabit ethernet output. Nither one will push more than that out to the ethernet. In my case the decission was made by availability. I wanted the thunderbolt adapter for the sake of keeping up with the technology but there was none on the shelf.
Just my two cents

This question was solved.
View Solution. Please verify that the programs (Ubuntu, Mint, Boot-Repair, etc.) you are attempting to use, support the Atheros AR8161L gigabit ethernet controller natively. Not all operating systems and software programs support every network device and/or configuration otut of the box. Many times, specific drivers must be loaded or injected into the OS for a device to function properly.

Hi there,
When I use the font that I want to use (STHeiti), extra spaces get added automatically—spaces that, by the way, I can’t ‘delete’—after every apostrophe (or single quotation mark). See screen grabs below:
Here's another example:
Do you know how I can make these spaces go away? When I do a search on the internet (InDesign STHeiti), I see that others have had other types of problems with this font… having to do with exporting a finished project to pdf and getting it printed.
In the context of talking about it, one person says that the STHeiti font "is installed as part of the Apple operating system, and is probably only meant for onscreen display".
But someone else adds: "the font is installed, by default, on all macs running 10.4 and above (possibly further back than that, but lets go with what we know), so opening the file at the printers on such a mac will have the font available”
I'm on my Mac, though (not yet ready for the printer), so why do I have a problem using this font?
I know I could use another font, but this STHeiti is a really nice one!
Thanks for any advice,
MalcolmWow... that works beautifully.
I've done it, but before proceeding too much further I'll google and try to find out more about this "Use Typographer's Quotes" setting. Don't want it to bite me down the road.
Thanks very much for the tip—

How can I configure Mac Mail to use the correct SMTP server?
I have successfully set up Mac Mail to use a new e-mail account. Inbound and outbound mail is working just fine. However, I am seeing something odd when I create a new message or reply to an existing message. The outbound account that shows is not that which has been configured for the account. I can manually select the correct outbound account.
What are my troubleshooting steps? One of the first things to check in Mail Preferences, Composing:

Getting Deploy Error when using the WebDynpro Compiler
Hi,
I have a VC application which uses the RFC from R/3.
When i am using the Compiler as WEBDYNPRO, it is giving me Deploy Error as:
WebDynpro Compiler:
Portal request failed
(Model properties Namespace and Vendor are not specified for source archieve generator)
Also,
I checked the Iview property in the Portal but i am unable to find this properties.
Guide me when and where this Complier type is uesd..?
Thanks & Regards,
Dhruv ShahHi,
I am unable to find this properties.
In the Model View i searched a lot.
I have another question also.
Do you know how to refresh the table from the RFC.
Thanks& regards,
Dhruv Shah -
basic use of Content search employed on a single blog
I use the template called 2 lines. First line is for the title, second line I would like to have either the published date or the categories (of the blog). While the latter is more complicated, I thought the date was fairly simple.
I have placed PublishedDateOWSDATE and when I saved, I got the error message
Object does not support property or method 'indexof' (corerender: {path}item-twolines.js)
What am I doing wrong?Hi suxxxann,
Let's verify the followings:
Whether you used a custom display templete for the Content Search web part.
Whether you mapped the managed property to the associated crawled property.
I did a test, however, I couldnot reproduce your issue. My steps are:
Create a column in a library, and upload some documents into it.
Do a crawl for my content source, then create a managed property called "Test" and map it to the related crawled property.
Create a page, insert a Content Search web part.
Edit the Content Search Web Part. Expand the Display Templates section, Item: Two lines.
Expand Property Mappings, Line 1: Title, Line 2: Test.
Click OK, and save the page
In my testing, everything worked well. Please try to do as my above steps, compare the result.
Best Regards,
Wendy

IPod touch gets very hot when using the Internet/Video
Hello. I have a question about my iPod touch (8 GB, 1.1.4, January Software Upgrade). When I go to Safari and browse the web, or when I'm watching a long video (YouTube and memory) the iPod gets really hot, particulary on the top, near the Sleep-Wake button. Is this normal or should I worry?
Is it hot to the touch? or is it warm? My iPod only gets warm, but not hot, down near the home button after/during a sync or watching videos/searching the web.

NoSuchMethodException when using the J2SE JMS adapter
Hi.
I'm trying to set up a JMS connection and want to use the J2SE stand alone adapter first, so I can experiment without having to restart the central adapter over and over again.
I get an Null Pointer Exception:
16:19:40 (3010): Error initializing jms receiver adapter: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: com.sun.messaging.QueueConnectionFactory.<init>(java.lang.String)
I'm a bit (much ... well completely) lost now. Can anyone please help me out? Im not much of a Java programmer, but I though that wouldn't be necessary...
Thanks in advance,
MichelIts up and running now, both on local J2SE as on central J2EE adapters.
We set up JNDI, which turned out to make life much easier.
To get it to work on J2SE, we added the Sun provided jars (jmq.jar and jndi.jar) to the aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda archive (using the drivertool is the easiest).
Then we configured the local adapter (<i>adapter</i>.properties) and created a simple scenario to just send a "hello world" message to the JMS broker, where it was picked up by a listener.
Once that worked we deployed the aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda on the central J2EE engine (using SDM) and created a receiver CC to replace the local adapter. That worked fine, without much problems.
The other way around didn't give any more problems after that...
Now we can focus on the content and format of the messages...
