Can't get my printer working (Lexmark X1130) - Arch 64bit

I'm not so familiar with AUR and other things, so tell me if I have made a basic fail...
I have Lexmark X1130 printer. When I used Ubuntu it worked with Lexmark Z600 drivers (followed this guide. In AUR, I found this package which includes Z600 drivers. I tried to install it, but it complained ==> ERROR: Install scriptlet (lexmarkz-cups.install) does not exist. I commented the following line: install=lexmarkz-cups.install and then I was able to makepkg.
But then it complained about depences.
==> Making package: lexmarkz-cups 1-4 x86_64 (la 6.9.2008 13:06:12 +0300)
==> Checking Runtime Dependencies...
==> Missing Dependencies:
-> lib32-heimdal
-> lib32-libgnutls13

I couldn't find them in repositories, so I deleted those depences from PKGBUILD. After that I was able to makepkg and the compiling and installation was succesful. But of course, printer does not work. CUPS and other things are installed and the printer is detected and configured.
I started to search those missin libs. I found them in AUR and I installed "lib32-libgnutls13". No effect, complaind about same thing. And when I tried to install "lib32-heimdal", it said it needs "lib32-openssl". I tried to install it (from AUR), but it says:

Try pacman -Uf
'f' forces the package to be installed, even if expanding its contents into the system would overwrite existing files.
Also, would this package work with the Lexmark X3450?

Snow Leopard breaks quite a few drivers - my Canon exhibited the same problem.
I eventually found updated drivers on the Canon website. You can try that with the HP, but if the all-in-one is more than a year or so old, don't hold your breath.
You can also try Software Update to see if it will offer new drivers, or failing that go to the Support Downloads site and search for HP updates.
In fact there's a new one for HP at the top of the list just now.
You may not necessarily want the latest one, though - check the specs to see if your model is covered; if not, search for the previous update etc.

Tried both ways in the Wiki, still can't get network printing work

I have tried both the client and server ways following the Wiki, still could not get network printing work.
For the first way, I tried to put either the host name or the ip address (starting with 192) of the remote printer into /etc/cups/client.conf. But both Okular and Evince failed to see the printer in the dialog.
For the second way, with cups-browsed running, it only managed to discover printers in my local network (ip starting with 137) which I have no access. I tried to manually add the printer using its ip, but it still did not work.
What can I do? I have spent hours trying to work it out but failed. I would appreciate a lot your help. Thanks.

Please update Acrobat to v11.0.09 and check.
You might want to repair Acrobat from the 'Help' menu and check if it installs the pdf printer back or not.

Hi, I have just bought an apple iMac and I can't get my printer to work. It is a Sansung ML laser 4500. I tried to download a driver on thee Samsung website but can't get a driver. Please advise how I can get this printer to work as I don't want to buy another printer.

Samsung does not have an OS X driver for their 4500 series printers. You can check in Print & Fax to see if a driver is provided in OS X, but if Samsung doesn't make a driver for OS X then it's unlikely you will find one that works. Of course you can try the Generic driver, but no guarantee it will work. If it does only some printer functions will be supported, if any.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

Some people have said that their Dymo label printers were set to off line by Lion, but

If it's not an Airprint enabled printer, you can not natively through your iPad. BUT, there are apps you can purchase in the App Store, like Print Central ($9), which is what I use myself and works well for my needs.

You cannot use USB. It has to be a network capable printer.. is it?? You did not indicate how it is connected.. but by wireless or ethernet then scanning is possible otherwise not.

For Airprint to work your iPhone and printer must be on the same local network. Your printer must support Airprint (see here for list: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356).

I can't get my printer to print through my Airport Express and Bonjour and it is now starting to get really frustrating. Here's my set-up.
- Linksys wireless router as base station
- AX joined to Linksys network - green light is solid on the AX
- Have my Xerox 7750 printer connected to AX via USB
- Using iBook G4
- Removed all other printers, re-started and then added the 7750
The problem is, it appears as though the Xerox is connected properly but when I try to test print a page, the print dialogue opens in the dock but a red exclamation sign appears next to it. It says the print job has been stopped. So, I click start job and the bar goes stripes for a few seconds and then goes back to stop jobs and the red exclamation mark appears next to the printer in the dock.
So I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. I've use the printer set-up utility, I've re-started the computer, I've re-started the printer, it's properly connected to AX and the AX green light is on.
Can anyone help me with this?

try putting the AX in client mode. If your linksys is your main wireless/LAN connection out and your AX is set to extend the existing network, your printing and airtunes may not operate properly.

I can not get my printer to connect to the internet. it is connected to my network according to wifi test printout but my computer can not find it.
When I try to download apps directly from the printer it says that it is not connected to the internet.

Guess I understand what is going on as I'm also experiencing the problem.
Basically the issue is about the iPhone 4's personal hotspot.
I'm trying to hook on personal hotspot to my toshiba laptop but it couldnt work as the connection is limited to local only without Internet access.
The hotspot works well on other laptop and I-devices, but not my toshiba...
