Can't get password for email
Hi I do not have the pass word for my Macbook 13" as i got it second hand and can not open email account from the bar as it ask for a pass word i can't get please help
1. Why would not erase the hard drive and reintall the OS after receiving a used computer?
2. reset the password by booting from the software install DVD that came with the computer

a)Try this command at ur sql plus query level
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
this will take you to the sqlprompt.
Just execute the earlier commands there.
sqlplus><b>UPDATE SAP<schema>.usr02 set uflag=0 where mandt=<CLNT NO> and uflag=64;</b> this statement actually unlocks the users of that particular client. So, try for every client in that sap system.
b) You can delete sap* user
Go to cmd prompt.
Sqlplus /nolog
conn /as sysdba
sqlplus><b>DELETE SAP<SID>.usr02 where mandt='CLIENT.NO' and bname=SAP*;</b>
<b>Note:-
After doing this restart the system. So, that a new user with the name "sap" gets generated with password "pass". Provided the parameter is set login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0 (Automatic user SAP is permitted).</b>

If i go to settings and erase my password that wont work. What can I do?
Either access it via web mail only where you'll have to enter user name and password every time, or put the passcode lock on your ipad itself, locking down the whole device

The password is good for 15 minutes to make purchases. You should receive a receipt in 24 to 48 hours for the purchases. There is a link to Report an issue. You could use that to start a conversation with iTunes Support about a refund.
Apple considers all sales final. But has been known to offer a one time refund. So the question is, do you want to use your one time refund on this purchase or one more expensive in the future? -

Yesterday I changed my email password on my home computer. I'm sorry you're having issues with your e-mail account on your phone Rusty1112. Let's figure out what's going on. First, please try deleting account/information again and then restart phone. When phone is back on, try adding e-mail account again, and be sure you're entering exactly as you set up, meaning its case-sensitive. If you're still getting same error, please let us know and let us know what e-mail account it is, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc.

Can't remember password for new ipad air. have never synced it with another computer never had the chance to use icloud. How do i get in? Tried to sync with itunes but iTunes can't sync without a password. I cannot see summary on the side bar. How do I restore so I can restart my iPAD Air since it has relatively no history. ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I keep getting asked for my password for email. Says my POP server "pop.charter.net" rejected the password. In the past I just went into my email and it came up automatically.
In Keychain, in the Keychain window, select "login". In the category window, select passwords.
In the name field, look for name of your outgoing server for that account (like smtp.mail.yahoo.com, outbound.att.net, or whatever outgoing server you have).
Just highlight it and delete it. Delete any and all for that account.
You also may want to check and make sure all your outgoing server settings are correct in Mail preferences. If any info is incorrect, it will not work. Sometimes providers change servers and you don't know about it. You may want to check that if the Keychain fix doesn't work. -

First quesiton I have is do you have authorization to access your work email from your Droid X? Just knowing the email address and password is enough for you to get your personal email, but your employer must approve remote access.
If it's okay with your employer, you may also need to know the incoming and outgoing email server addresses, the port number, and your username on your employer's email server. If you're not sure what they are, check with your IT admin AFTER you get confirmation that it's okay to get your email. -

When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)
It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

I have a Power Mac 5 WITHOUT an intel processer/ I have updated my computer to snow lepord which is as far as I can go. I am unable to use the cloud. I used to have a Mobileme account and used it when I traveled to foreign countries yo read email. I do not know how to acess my email when traveling now. My email address is through mac.com. Please advise as there must be a way. We are traveling to South America soon for about a month and I need to know how to access my email from afar.

I think you updated to Leopard/10.5.x, Snow Leopard/10.6 is Intel only.
Actually you're in luck, you can still use iCloud for eMail on PPC using 10.4.11 or 10.5.8, but it must be IMAP, not POP...
iCloud Mail setup...
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
Server name: imap.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
Port: 993
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

One secret I think is when setting it up don't choose the .me/.mac type, it'll auto fill in .mac as the server which won't work, go back afterwards & change the servers. -
I recieved an ipod 5 for a early christmas present a day ago, I already owned an ipod 4 so i just used my info from that ipod as a back up for my 5g. but now when i try to download music from itunes it says i must use my security questions (which i made over a year ago) I can't remember the answers and i can't get on the email that it sends the reset info to. i don't know what to do and its really frustrating. please help ASAP!
You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
Whichever method you use, you probably won't get a response until the 26th. If you absolutely must make a purchase before then, create a new Apple ID; you won't be able to transfer previous purchases or iTunes Store credit to it.

"Can not get password" Can't send or receive messages all of a sudden.
Out of the blue my Thunderbird client will no longer send or receive messages.
Here's the error message I get: "Sending of message failed.
An error occurred sending mail: Could not get password for [our server name]. The message was not sent."
The only thing I can come up with that may have caused it would be that I restarted my computer due to a completely unrelated issue (Illustrator kept crashing). Shortly after that, this issue began. I'd really to resolve this without uninstalling thunderbird, I use thunderbird heavily for my job and thus everything is set up, filed, and organized the way I need it.
I've tried restarting thunderbird, restarting my computer (Mac, OSX Yosemite if that matters) and none of these things are working.
Thunderbird has worked flawlessly for the past two years up until now. No updates were installed that I know of. My password is good, I'm able to type it in on our webmail client (atmail) and log in without issue.

If that doesn't fix it, we need to look at your settings.
