Can't get playlist to play
I'm new to iTunes, so please forgive my ignorance. I have uploaded my cds and created a playlist. I want to simply play all of the songs in the playlist. I open the playlist and press play - and only one song plays. I then try selecting all the songs in the playlist and then press play - and only one song plays. I select shuffle, push play - and only one song plays. What am I missing?

Why does it absolutely have to display albums by the order they were released? It can do what the programers want it to do.
You can sort by album, but then by multiple clicks on the album column header you can get album by artist and album by year. -

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting to a different computer if your current one is out of commission. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. -
I bought a song on iTunes...but it must not have downloaded all the way an now I can't get it to play and it won't let me delete it...I also can't purchase it again cause it says I done bought it...any suggestions?

I've tried plugging the hdmi into the TV directly and the receiver.
I get video every time. HBO to Go , Xfinity, ABC, Youtube, etc...

I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did. I'm using a small Vizio HDTV. I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers. In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down. Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.

Can't get playlists from one one computer to another. Confident Home Sharing is turned on correctly. Have imac and macbook Air and Lion. Using smart lists.

How do I get the iTunes festival to play on my Apple TV in the evening, as I work during the day and can't watch it at 4:00pm? I have the app installed on my iPad and can't get it to play!

I just downloaded a song and it only plays the first 50 seconds and then moves to the next song in the list. How can I get it to play the rest of the song?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -
I can't get dvds to play and, instead, get "There was an initialization error. A valid video device could not be found for playback. [-70017]" I went in for a Genius appt Friday and it played for the tech...but now I'm back home (one and a half hours from the store) and I'm getting the error message again when I try to load a dvd. Any recommendations?

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

Can't get ipod to play a podcast a second time
Help!
I have no trouble getting and playing podcasts on my ipod mini, but once I finish listening to the podcast, it dissapears from the ipod and will not reload back on the ipod no matter what I've tried.
The podcasts are still in iTunes and will play in iTunes, I just can't get them to play again on the ipod.
I don't have fast connection, so I'd rather not reload them.
I'm using iTune 5 iPod 1.4.

Hi. I have the Apple connector kit...and actually played Garageband via my M-Audio Oxygen 25-keyboard thru my iPad2--without a powered hub.
But that was two month ago.
Now...I can't get it to play--with volume. I can hear the notes...but faintly. And I have pushed ALL possible volume controls up (Keyboard & iPad).
I know the keyboard is triggering, because I tested it on a MacBook: got full volume, just like before.
But just can't get full volume from the iPad2. I got a 4-port USB hub...and tried interfacing it between the keyboard and the connector kit/iPad2. But still no volume. It's almost like a switch is off in the iPad???

i didn't really dare to delete the blue home folders before, just in case everything went wrong, but now i think i have so little space that i can't afford to lose 2.25gb!
one thing that slightly worries me is the fact that the 'proper' library folder (in the home icon) is 2.09gb, whereas the 'wrong' one (from the blue folder forenamesurname) is 2.24gb - this is the one i would be deleting. just seems odd to delete a larger file than the one i presume i'm using.
"Move everything you want to keep out of the blue folders, and then place both of the folders on your desktop. If everything works properly after a few days, delete both folders. If you are asked for your administrator password at any point or if either folder is copied instead of moved when dragged, don't delete that folder."
by 'everything you want to keep', does this include the library folder? 'cause there doesn't seem to be much else, and i'm not sure if deleting the library folder would ruin all my preferences.
i've put both of the folders on the desktop, it didn't ask for the admin password or try to copy them, so i guess that's good news. what kind of things should i be looking out for to act differently?
are the folders not in use now that they are on the desktop?
also if i put them in the trash will they have no effect? i.e. the same as permanently deleting them, so i could put them in the trash as a test.
