Can't Get Playlist to show correct song order

When my iPod is plugged into my Mac, one Playlist shows the songs in the correct order, which is in the same order as the Playlist on my computer. After disconnecting the iPod, the same Playlist shows the songs in the reverse order. How do I get the Playlist on the iPod to keep the correct order? Syncing the iPod to the computer doesn't help.

Is the HOLD switch on when you sync?
have you tried making the the songs in a seperate/ duplicate playlist and in the correct order when you sync?
Under the playlist, *make sure on the NAME tab the tiny arrow points UP*
if not, main libraries most times dont play them in order. In which you will have to create a playlist and then change them manually...
Heres how:
Select ALL the songs you want to make sure that will play in order
right click
Get info
you should see a pop up window with 4 tabs
Info
Video
Sorting
Options
Info tab, you should see "track numbers"
You might have to manually enter each specific track number in order and then add the TOTAL number for them to play in the right order.

You will have to manually copy your music. Get a pen-drive big enough to accommodate all your music. And follow these steps:
1. Create a new folder on the pen-drive.
2. Copy the music from your work computer to the folder you just created. It's in (yourhomefolder)>Music>iTunes>iTunes Media>Music if you're using a Mac, or in C:\Users\(yourusername)\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music if you're using Windows.
3. Now on your home computer quit iTunes, and copy your music from work to the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder in (yourhomefolder)>Music>iTunes>iTunes Media.
4. Start iTunes. It will automatically start to process the files and move them to the appropriate place.
Repeat these steps with your music from home on your work computer. Also I suggest to use only one iTunes account if possible.

If you are attempting to share to both at the same time, you can't.
Are you selecting the second AppleTV in home sharing options on the MBP. Are all devices signed in for Home Sharing with the same AppleID?

How come I can only get 200 of my 700 songs to show on my display in my new truck?

My operating system has nothing to do with my question but I was asked to enter the info. I have a 4th Gen iPod & do not know why I can only get 200 of my 700+ songs to show on the display in my new truck. All my songs are from purchased CD's or iTunes. It sounds like you might have the shuffle button at the bottom left of the iTunes (the button with the squiggly lines).
If that's not the case, then maybe you just need to sort your library by album by clicking the album tab at the top.
Is your music in a playlist, or are you trying to play it from the entire library?

I personally use TuneUp from http://www.tuneupmedia.com/
It works on both Mac and PC.
It is a great tool for correcting MetaData "Music Info" for all of your songs. It also adds the correct album artwork and can remove duplicate songs from your library easily.
iTunes on PC will convert the WMA to MP3 for you if you like. To do so just right click on your WMA files in iTunes and choose convert to MP3.
If you have already moved all of your music to Mac and no longer have a windows machine there are a couple of programs that will do it for you from Mac OS X. Some are free and some cost money. Let me know if you would like to know a couple of examples.

Results: Incorrect alignment of GridLayout within BorderLayout's Center position.
The first printed row is incorrect. It is split with 6/8ths in row1, and 2/8ths
in the last row.
Expected: The BorderLayout's Center position should print 6 rows and 7 columns of
8 x 1 TextEdit field items (This is supposed to be a calendar). It should fill
the 8.5 x 11 piece of paper in Landscape print mode.
Note: It correctly displays on the computer monitor.

iCloud.com requires Safari 6 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later. Have you tried all of those?

For the first tine since 1989 I'm thinking about buying a PC.
You'd have exactly the same problems on an 8 year old PC too. It's a bit unreasonable to expect such an old Mac to continue to be compatible as software is constantly updated.
Saying that, I'm still able to access iCloud.com successfully in Safari v5.0.6 on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8, so the problem you're having is likely to be a browser issue, not something inherently wrong with the computer.
Since all this crap started, Mail won't download my Mac.com or me.com email.
The iCloud.com website is totally unconnected to Mail's ability to download email via IMAP. Have you checked the mail server settings are correctly setup and up-to-date?

I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution. Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud. So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar? In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off...

If your Mac is new-ish and has one of the Lions as its OS, the drives, cards, USB sticks no longer show up, even though they're there. Go to Finder's Preferences and tick the corresponding items in the General and Sidebar tabs.
