Using Ethernet, I am attempting to stream the movies on my computer to my girlfriends computer through iTunes home sharing. I want to watch the movies that are on one computer on another.

So long as they are on the same wifi network, yes.
Have both computers running and have iTunes open on both computers.
Now, in the iTunes on the computer you want to transfer music to, select the library that you want to transfer music from, as per the following screenshot:
Once the other library loads, go down to the bottom of the screen and in "Show:" select "Items not in my library":
If you want to import all of the songs you can now see, head up to the iTunes menu bar and go "Edit > Select all". Then head down to the bottom of the screen again and click the "Import" button in the bottom-right-hand corner.
If there's a lot of stuff in the library you're transferring from, the transfer may take some time. -
I have upgraded my macbook pro to Lion, using Icloud if take a photo on my Iphone this syncs to my mac however my video does not synce wirelessly from my iphone to macbook. How can I get this to do it.

Trouble with slow Macbook Air. I have first generation MacBook Air and have a hard time keeping hard drive from being full. After trashing many docs, I have almost 5 gigs available, but mac is slow and I keep getting color wheel when I use Mail. I'd like to install Lion, but now I'm afraid it will slow down my machine even further. Do I have enough free hard disc space? Is Mail problem related to free hard disc space? Thanks for your help!

i have newest version macbook air with Lion.
and while calling someone via skype, i dont want them to hear what im hearing on the computer such as Itunes, youtube, or whatever comes out of speaker.
samething happends when im using headphones.
i wanna listen to the music or watch youtube video during the call,
but it is almost impossible b/c my gf can hear the sound coming off the computer much louder than my actual voice.
this is not fun.You are not going to be able to run your old system from the backup on this old computer as the hardware is incompatible.
You need to get a new computer or a refurbished one. -

The Setup Assistant can restore your data from a Time Machine backup. You'll be asked if you want to do this the first time you turn the computer on.

I have a new MacBook Air. I set my password the other night when I was half asleep and can't remember it. Im still working on my old MacBook Air and can't get through the password gate on my new one. How can I reset it on that computer? I can't even get to the internet.

I have a new Macbook Air, 6 months old, and for the last few days the fan had run continuously, this is the first time it has ever run, and now it won't stop, the fan starts up as soon as I turn it on and the computer seems to running more slowy.The computer is not hot but I am worried it may burn out,.Any ideas on how I can fix this please ?

Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.

I have been using a 2012 Mac pro to do HD video editing. I bought a new portable Macbook Air only to find that Maverick no longer has "open files in a new window" which I use all the time in the very large folders of video clips and royalty-free music. I asked at the Apple Store how I could get this back on the Macbook Air and they said it couldn't be done so I thought I would re-format the HD and install 10.7 on it and was notified by the Macbook Air I can't put 10.7 on that computer. Apple use to give this as an option but now they have gone more to the attitude of "Do it our way or go to ****!" In anger I went out and bought a Dell Laptop and Pinnacle Studio 17 which I have been learning to use. I have been an Apple/Mac user since 1979 and would still rather do my video editing on a Mac. Is there any way that I can force the Macbook Air to let me load in OSX 10.7 where there is still the option to "open files in a new window" or is there a way to add this to Maverick? The experts at the Madison, WI Couldn't give me any help on this.
Choose Preferences from the Finder menu, click on the General tab, and uncheck the box to open folders in a new tab.

I had saved all of my family photos onto my ipod nano 5th gen. Due to sperstorm sandy I lost my desktop and all of the photos. My ipod is not trasfering the photos from the old computer.
