Can't get reader off my screen! Help!
I have a Mac Pro Book. I haven't investigated iCloud. I clicked on on Reader in the toolbar and the add page area came up. Now I can't get rid of it. I went back and tried to re-click Reader and it isn't highlighted so it does nothing. This is taking up a lot of my screen and I just want to get rid of it. Can anyone help????? Thanks in advance!
Leonie...thank you so much. I went to View and hid the reader. You hit the nail on the head. Thanks for the responses so much!! It was the Safari Reader Csound1. Sorry I didn't make that clear. Again..thanks so much!

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). -

The problem you have described is very irritating. I would be glad to look into this issue with you.
Do you have a HDMI cable to attach and remove to the device? If so please try that, then power the device off and remove and reinsert the Sim card. Does the error come back?

When I try to go to the app store, I have a popup for a free game that won't go away. I can't get into the app store.
This happened to me twice lately. I finally got around it by double tapping the home key to go back to the homepage finding the app store that was running and flicked it up to get rid of it.
When I went back to the App Store the Popup was gone. -

First try: Shut down Mac forcefully. Press the button to start & hold down OPTION ke once youo see white screen. Boot disk selection window will appear. From here select your drive to boot into Mac.

When I turn on my imac and open 'Safari' it takes me to a gray page; it's the 'favorites'page. I can't get it off the screen and go to my home page to use the internet. I can't use my computer. I was just in the Apple store in baton rouge, la. today, but unfortunately, I can't reach them by phone for help
Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time.
Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari, if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.
Wait.
Application will quit.
If this does not help, press the power button for 7 or more seconds.
Computer will shut down.
Restart.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.

On my iPhone 4, I cannot get the "not enough storage on iCloud" message to close. Therefore, I can't get past this box/screen AND I can't turn the device off. Please help.
Try resetting it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing. You won't lose any data by doing this.

My screen goes from the apple icon to battery charge warning. Can't get it off.

Did you do the Reset properly? [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

I tried to move my photos to MY PASSPORT and they populated all over my screen - I can't get rid of them. HELP!
This problem sounds like a missed target and too many files: user meant to drag and drop files to the WD My Passport icon on the Desktop but dropped files on the Desktop instead. If so, there could be thousands of files on the Desktop; Finder is trying to create icons for every dropped file--and one day Finder might finish--but the Mac is essentially stuck till those files leave the Desktop.
Various solutions exist, with increasing levels of difficulty:
1. In Finder, hit Cmd-N to open a "list" display window of the Desktop, then move files from this window to a new folder--or, as others advise, Cmd-drag files to the WD My Passport (easy, but given the bogged-down system, probably not an option).
2. From the Finder menu, Go > Desktop to get to a "list" display rather than an "icon" display window, followed by drag/drop clean-up to a new folder or Cmd-drag files to the WD (again, easy, but also perhaps not possible).
3. Start in Safe Mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564) and then move the excess Desktop files to a new folder or Cmd-drag files to the WD. (Safe Mode loads only essential graphics routines, so the Finder may be more snappy even with an overloaded Desktop).
4. Boot from the installation DVD and then navigate to the overloaded Desktop to move the photo files to a new folder or Cmd-drag to the WD.
5. Use a second Mac to connect in Target Disk Mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/ph3838) to clean up the messy Desktop.
6. Use Terminal and unix commands to clean the Desktop. Try the easy ways first. -

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
