Can't get rid of black box around rendered HD footage.....

I've read a thread about t
he "black box" that appears in HD footage, but didn't find an answer.
I use a PC, and edit with Adobe Premiere 3.0.
I have a Canon camcorder that uses MiniDV HD tapes to capture the HD footage, because I wanted
the tapes as back up, and the quality is better, in my opinion.
I capture the footage with the HDV capture in Premiere.
The captured file looks damn nice, full screen HD.  The book says the screen size is 1440 by 1080,
but the actual screen size looks to be 1920 by 1080.
When I open up the captured file in Real Player or Windows Media Player, there is no black on the sides,
and two strips on the top and bottom that are maybe 1/4 an inch, not a problem.
When I RENDER the editted footage, I click "export" and "movie"
In the settings menu, under General, I choose"File Type" and "Microsoft AVI."
In the Video section, I choose the "Cinepak Codec by Radius"
Under Pixel Aspect Ratio, the options are:
  Square Pixels (1.0)
  D1/DV  NTSC (0.9)
  D1/DV  NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2)
  Anamorphic 2:1 (2.0)
  HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
  DVCPRO HD (1.5)
There is also the Keyframe and Rendering menu on the left.
When I try to use the top options, I get variation of the file with about a 1 1/2 to 2 inch black box on all sides, but the aspect
is correct, or a 1 to 1 1/2 inch box at top, no box on the sides, but the frame is mushed down.
Or the frame is square, and the vido image is pushed inward.
An example of my initial video is below, where the aspect was correct:
"Wildlife at Lake Fasse Point"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sisu86-HWV0
If I play a rendered file in Windows Media Player, even if I hit "Double Size" or "Play Full Screen," the edges will STILL be bounded
by that big black box.
I appreciate any help.

  • Can't get rid of black boxes when form is printed

    When I save a form to PDF there are visible black boxes around the feilds in the form. I thought these would go away once it printed but they are still there and make the form look cluttered. Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi;
    There is no option in FormsCentral to modify the fields text input box borders.  You could edit the PDF in Acrobat and remove the border.  In the screen shot below I removed the border color from the top two fields, in the bottom two fields I added a fill color so you could see the input box and it doesn't just blend in with the page:
    In this screen shot the form has been filled out, and this is how it would print:
    If you are going to edit a FormsCentral PDF in Acrobat take a look at this FAQ first:  http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3661

  • C4700 installed ;Get rid of black box on screen??

    Installed printer, it works fine. Can't get rid of black box panel on left side of computer screen;says clip book on top. So can't see left half of websites or email.  Also dragging box over to print doesn't go out of panel.

    hi,
     I believe this is the HP Smart Web Print software that was installed after installing the full feature driver of the printer. You can uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs of the Control Panel if you are using Windows XP, or it is in Uninstall A Program of Programs and FEatures of Windows Vista or Windows 7.

    When ever I type ANYTHING in emails, Pages, I get this irritating black box that shows up around paragraphs.  How do I get rid of this once and FOREVER?

    Press the key combination command-F5 to deactivate VoiceOver. If that doesn't work, proceed as follows.
    For OS X 10.7: From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Universal Access ▹ Seeing ▹ VoiceOver: Off
    For OS X 10.8: Select

  • Can't get rid of thin outline around embedded movie?

    ...even after setting it to "Invisible Rectangle" in the settings box.
    I'm trying to get a flash animation, converted to quicktime movie (imported with legacy format option), embedded into the PDF, and then playing as the page becomes visible (i.e. the look you'd get if you were using powerpoint)
    test file attached...
    This is my 2nd preference as I was trying to get my flash animation embedded into my InDesign file which then was to be exported to PDF... but when I tried both quicktime movie and SWF it caused my Acrobat to "unexpectedly quit"... again and again... so after much frustration have given up and was trying to embed the quicktime movie into the PDF - which will be take up much more time as it's a 150 pg presentation in InDesign and every time I send the PDF for approval I will need to reimport the movies into the PDF... but at least it doesn't crash out... BUT just can't get rid of the thin black line around the movie.
    I convinced the client to do the 150pg presentation in InDesign not powerpoint (as has been done previously) but need to offer them the same offering as powerpoint with all the animation - which I thought would be no problem with importing flash files into InDesign - but I'm finding it fraught with difficulties!
    They'll be wishing they used Powerpoint!
    Any help would be so much appreciated
    PS using Adobe CS4, Mac OSX 10.4, Acrobat 9

    Thanks very much for the response Sandee. I tried your suggestion of the  Annotation option and this worked! - wonderful.. altho this test now works for me I'd still love to get it working from InDesign.
    What I'm trying to achieve... my client had 5 powerpoint presentations that need updating with new branding (totally about 160 pages - with about 20 basic animations - i.e. flashing lights on products etc).
    I sold him on the idea of using InDesign/PDF rather than powerpoint - but am needing to find an easy solution for the animations. So I've been working on this test file. Have self taught myself on a basic flash animation (from Lynda.com)... and tried importing both SWF and QT .MOV into InDesign and then exporting to PDF and when it loaded up in Acrobat it would always "unexpectedly quit" upon opening... even after trying different versions of PDF compatibility and restarting etc.
    Is there something obvious that I'm not doing right?
    Also if I get it to work, does that mean that my client and all their staff around the world will need to be Acrobat Reader 9?
    Thanks again for your time and help

  • Can I get rid of "resend" box?

    Can I get rid of the resend box? "Are you sure you want to send a form again?" I looked in system preferences and can't find a way. Yes, I'm sure, I wouldn't of clicked the button if I didn't want to! I have a 2.66 MacPro with 7gb of ram, and I "think" it can handle this (but maybe I'm wrong)! But, boy is this annoying! Does anyone else have this problem??? Thankx in advance, Gary

    YDB, lol. Interesting read,l and it could well be what we are dealing with.
    In the meantime, we printed some DVD covers directly from Indesign and they turned out fine. But we need to resolve the issue so will try those suggestions. Thanks.

  • More help for a newbie! Can't get rid of text box lines.

    I've made this document and when I export I'm still seeing the lines around the text from the rectangle tool. How do I get rid of these? Can anyone help me? Thanks!

    Do you mean these that I have circled?
    If so, select one and go to the main tool pallet and click on double arrow on the Fill/Stroke indicator until the stroke is at the front (like this):
    Then, click the "Apply None" icon just below (the blank box with the red line). Also, consider getting a good book on InDesign basics. Here's one that's popular: InDesign CS6: Visual QuickStart Guide: Sandee Cohen: 9780321822536: Amazon.com: Books

  • How do I get rid of black shadows around layered sparkles in file imported from Illustrator CC to After Effects CC?

    I have a background with a logo that will have various stars or sparkles around the logo. I eventually want the sparkles to flicker on and off around the logo in my Premiere Pro video.
    I created my layered logo/sparkle artwork in Illustrator CC. Each sparkle is on a separate layer. The sparkles came from clip art. In Illustrator CC the sparkles are white or yellow. In After Effects CC they have a black background around each sparkle, almost like a drop shadow.
    I want to get rid of the drop shadow/black background.
    Any suggestions?

    Check the problematic layers in the comp by soloing them and then press the u key twice to reveal everything that is not set to the defaults. Make sure there are no layer styles or other effects checked. If all is normal but the art still looks odd open up the footage interpretation, Click the More Options button at the bottom left. and set the anti aliasing for vector art to More Accurate. You can do similar in Preferences>Previews and set Zoom Quality to More Accurate.
    Here's another tip for using Illustrator files for video. Any stroked artwork must have a minimum stroke of 1 point or 1 pixel. 2 is better. Fine details in your artwork should be drawn with the snap to pixel option enabled in Illustrator and artwork should be an even number of pixels (points) high and wide.
    If none of that works, save out just some of the problematic layers in you AI file and send us a link so we can check out the file or post a screenshot of the problem viewed at a zoom factor of 100% with resolution set to Auto or Full and the properties of your layer with problems revealed.

  • Can't get rid of white border around image

    http://www.gunnar.ca/laminatepage2.htm
    I created a rounded corner in photoshop for my table. I
    created a cell in the bottom left corner of the table and placed
    the gif. There is a thin whit border around the outer edge of the
    gif, so it doesn't look genuinely rounded. Can anyone tell me how
    to get rid of that so it looks like the table is actually rounded?
    Thank you!

    Because the table containing the GIF has a border. In your
    styleA.css
    stylesheet, the rule:
    .border {
    border: 1px solid #E5E5E5;
    adds a border to the table. Delete the rule. Of course - that
    may affect
    other things that use the .border class. Or - delete the
    class from the
    table tag.
    Several problems with the page:
    styles.css cannot be found
    sideNavStyles.css cannot be found

  • How do I get rid of blue boxes around hotspots?

    Hi there,
    I've added three hotspots to this website, but after you click on them it leaves a non-so-pleasant blue box around them.
    http://chanlegge.comjavascript:;http://chanlegge.com/
    I should point out also that these appear for me in Safari and Chrome, but not Firefox.
    I'm a complete dolt when it comes to webdesign (as you can see, the website is basically just two jpegs) and don't know about CSS etc, but I am hoping there is a simple way to avoid having these. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Johnny

    I must have been on the wrong page when I looked initially.
    @JohnJohnJohn,
    If you ever want to have a search engine index your site (so people can find you using Google and the like) you need to seriously reconsider what you're doing. Since your pages consist of a single image that is then mapped, there's nothing for the search engines to index in any meaningful way. Search engines rely on relevant, keyword rich, html text to give your site any kind of position in a viewer's search results. As far as the search engines are concerned, right now, your pages are blank.
    Also, as it stands now, anyone with a screen reader will get what amounts to a blank page, even if they do happen across your site somehow.
    Finally, the mailto links you are using won't do anything when clicked for any user who relies on browser based email clients (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) because the mailto link activates email clients installed on the actual computer. If someone viewing your site without something like Outlook installed, clicking your mailto link does nothing. It's much, much better to use a form to email script (usually available from your hosting provider) to allow users to contact you no matter how their email is set up.

  • Get rid of Dotted box around links with CSS

    After I click a link on my site a dotted box appears around the link/image. From looking through the forums I have learned that this is a "focus state" used by people without a mouse to tab through the site and see where they are. I have also read the way to get rid of it was to put;
    a:focus img { outline:none; }
    into the css.
    I tried that and it didnt work. If this is infact the correct way to get rid of it, where exactly in the css should i put it?

    You have 2 Spry menu systems on your site. If you want this applied to all links, put this anywhere in your layout.css file.
