Can't get rid of LARGE font on BB10

Somebody help me please! I changed the font to LARGE to be able to read without my glasses. Now it only shows the top left corner of each page, you can't scroll across or down, you can't see the rest of the icons or messages and, worst of all, you can't change back to normal font. Am I stoopid?

Ron from Norquip called and said to pinch it closed, which worked - duh. Then I selected the fonts in the display->settings and selected 9. Will see how that suits my arm length.

    Hi Guys,
    Need help getting rid of what looks like corrupted font in my Safari. It doesn't appear in any other web browsers I have.
    The font seems corrupted in each of the applications making icloud unusable in Safari. I have reinstalled Safari, checked pc for
    trojans etc but everything seems ok. Running x64 windows 7 professional.

  • In Mail, one mailbox for Recovered Message (AOL) keeps showing 1 very large message that I cannot delete. How can I get rid of this recurring problem, please?

    In Mail on iMac, successfully running OS X Lion, one mailbox on My Mac for "Recovered Messages (from AOL)" keeps showing 1 very large message (more than 20 Mb) that I just cannot seem to delete. Each time I go into my In Box, the "loading" symbol spins and the message appears in the "Recovered Messages" mailbox. How can I get rid of this recurrent file, please?
    At the same time, I'm not receviving any new mails in my In Box, although, if I look at the same account on my MacBook Pro, I can indeed see the incoming mails (but on that machine I do not have the "recovery" problem).
    The help of a clear-thinking Apple fan would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks.

    I worked it out.
    Unhide your hidden files ( I used a widget from http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/developer/hiddenfiles.html)
    Go to your HD.
    Go to Users.
    Go to your House (home)
    there should be a hidden Library folder there (it will be transparent)
    Go to Mail in this folder
    The next folder ( for me ) is V2
    Click on that and the next one will be a whole list of your mail servers, and one folder called Mailboxes
    Click on that and there should be a folder called recovered messages (server) . mbox
    Click on that there a random numbered/lettered folder -> data
    In that data folder is a list of random numbered folders (i.e a folder called 2, one called 9 etc) and in EACH of these, another numbered folder, and then a folder called messages.
    In the messages folder delete all of the ebmx (I think that's what they were from memory, sorry I forgot as I already deleted my trash after my golden moment).
    This was GOLDEN for me. Reason being, when I went to delete my "recovered file" in mail, it would give me an error message " cannot delete 2500 files". I knew it was only 1 file so this was weird. Why 2500 files? Because if you click on the ebmx files like I did, hey presto, it turned out that they were ALL THE SAME MESSAGE = 2500 times. In each of those folders in the random numbers, in their related message folder.
    Now remember - DONT delete the folder, make sure you have gone to the message folder, found all those pesky ebmx files and deleted THOSE, not the folder.
    It worked for me. No restarting or anything. And recovered file. GONE.
    Started receiving and syncing mail again. Woohoo.
    Best wishes.

  • Large icon appears in middle of desktop--can't get rid of it.

    Daughter was using computer. Now a large icon--the microphone--periodically appears in the middle of the desktop no matter what I am doing. Can't get rid of it.

    Blakespot:
    If you haven't done this already, boot from the Leopard DVD (hold down 'C' after (re)starting your computer, until you are prompted to choose a language. Then wait until the installer appears.) Ignore the installer. Instead, move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen, wait for a menu to appear, then, from the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility. Select your Macintosh HD, and perform a "Repair Disk".
    After that reboot again from the HD and check how your disk space is reported by OSx.

  • IOS7 gives me a headache looking at it.  Can I get rid of it.  Wish I had never accepted it.  JUNK!!!

    I get a headache looking at the new screen for even 30 seconds *****.  It is harder to read the text board and harder to focus on the phone board.  Overall I am totally unhappy with the new appearance.  Can I get rid of IOS7 and why do they make things worse acting like it is an improvement.

    Unfortunately, Apple does not support downgrading to iOS 6.  To tweak the interface study the following:
    The following is from user RandomName42, who provides lots of ideas.  It seems much of this may have come from this article:
    http://tidbits.com/article/14122?rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_c ampaign=Feed%3A+tidbits_main+%28TidBITS%3A+Mac+News+for+the+Rest+of+Us%29
    At any rate, RandomName42's post follows ---------------------------------------------------
    The font size doesn't affect the font size of the icons, which the new folder layout makes even harder to read than it is against a regular background.
    I deal with migraines and avoid bright light where I can, so figuring out how to work around Apple's design on this one is going to be huge. I'm encountering (and working on finding a way to avoid) huge unbroken bright spaces in the OS. I've known for a while that, at work, my monitors will eventually give me headaches but my iPad wouldn't. I'd been using the iPad as a break from monitor glare to stop them from kicking in full-blast. I didn't realize until yesterday that it was because so much of my iPad screen is darker - deeper greys, for example, in the settings menu, than the blue of my menus in Outlook. I had the new iOS for about 10 minutes before the first migraine started. I love Apple's attention to aesthetics and design mentality, but goodness they use migraine triggers a lot in this design.
    Potentially useful ideas:
    General -> Accessibility -> Bold Text to ON. You may still have to squint a bit but letters will be ~much~ easier on the eyes.
    General -> Accessibility -> Increase Contrast to ON. This takes away the bright fuzzy backgrounds when you open folders and makes them less fuzzy grey ones. It also darkens the bright fuzzy bar across the bottom of the screen to be a darker grey. It does not darken the bright fuzzy folders icons on the app pages or make Notes, Reminders or new Safari pages (or existing ones while you type a new address) much better, but is a huge step forward. It definitely makes mail and Messages much less pain-inducing, though they could stand to go darker.
    General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion to ON. This seems to cost me the pretty effects with app icons, but with all of the fuzziness they've added to folders and the your-apps bar, it helps avoid ~shifting~ fuzziness. Which turns out to cause problems for me. Who knew?
    General -> Accessitiliby -> Invert Colors to ON. ******* ONLY while in the Settings menu or Apple's screens like Safari, Reminders and Mail. I've been told I might be able to assign it to a triple tap, which should make switching easier. Haven't figured out how yet.
    App Switcher - Either don't use it or kill all Apple screens you aren't actively using. This cuts down on the large light squares that fill the screen in the app switcher now. Not using it would be a hassle, but would also cut down on the heightened visibility of everything I have open when switching between apps I use at work. I'm undecided which I'll end up going with.
    Use new screen pages instead of folders. I love the new folder design. My migraine-ridden brain doesn't, though. /-: With the old folder design, you knew an app in a folder was on screen if the folder was open and could let your gaze sweep over it multiple times to identify the icon. Now it may not be on the screen, so you have to focus specifically on smaller icons against a fuzzy-ish background. Focusing on something meant to be fuzzy is apparently one of my headache triggers. If the folders were darker or I could show the same number of icons, this would be much less a problem, but for now... I'm not sure that having a page for each folder is doable or worth the hassle, though. Might just end up moving the apps I use less often into a set of folders on a last page I don't have to visit often or just deleting them to minimize folders.
    Remember your brightness setting needs to be lower than it looks. This one seems obvious but surprised me with the frustration it causes. When you open the lower dock that has the brightness control, it darkens the rest of the screen. If you set your brightness so that what you want to look at seems right, it will brighten further after you close the menu and go back to it. I don't have a feel yet for how much lower I need to set the brightness, but I assume that will come with time. Also: Setting brightness higher makes the menu itself brighter to look at, so judge headache likeliness with that in mind.
    Settings -> Wallpapers & Brightness -> Auto-Brightness to OFF. This OS is super on-the-ball about adjusting brightness automatically. Which is awesome sometimes, but less so when you manually set the brightness, go back to the screen and watch it change from what you just set it to. You may end up with darker screens than you want until you adjust the setting, but you won't end up with brighter screens than you want.
    We'll probably just have to deal with the big fuzzy bar across the bottom of the screen and having to look more carefully at the big fuzzy squares behind folders now. It helps to think of them as Monet menus.

  • How can I get rid of the sign in prompt when I use google?

    I just upgraded firefox. I am searching in google and every time I put in a search or turn a page I get a sign-in box asking for my goole password. How can I get rid of this, it is a nuisance.

    Do you use any add-ons to enhance your privacy on Google? To make sure those also are the latest versions, try updating your extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, above the list, click the "gear" button and "Check for Updates".
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    Also, I believe Google requires third party cookies. This support article has the steps for making sure you are accepting website cookies: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]].

  • Crazy gap I can't get rid of! help - please??

    Hi - my first time on here (well, needing to be on here..!).
    I'm having a heck of a time. I've just been hand-coding a fairly
    simple site - which I've now finally gotten around to updating.
    The site is:
    http://www.arcfoto.com
    I'm trying to set it up as a fixed (un-resizeable) console
    window with a flexible content pane. So - I've been using
    dreamweaver to set it all up. But the problem is that I've got this
    really persistent gap that I can't get rid of. It's spans the left
    and top sides. (about 10px of white) - in the version you see if
    you visit the URL - I've had to add gap to the bottom and right -
    just to not make it look TOO WEIRD. But I'd really really like to
    get rid of it.
    The basic architecture is the following: Javascript window
    containing tables to organize content. Nothing special - just
    rollovers. A friend suggested I could add CSS commands to get rid
    of it. I've been doing a fair bit of messing around with any and
    all CSS parameters I could.... but nothing seems to really make a
    difference. I'm thinking it's got something to do with the
    javascript window definition for the window on the entry page
    (previous page). But I really have no idea. I'm HOPING, PRAYING -
    that someone here might have a suggestion for a quick fix - or a
    fix of any kind...! I've been struggling with this for WEEKS
    now...!
    Thanks.

    Martin?
    Your PNG files are so huge because you have not properly
    exported them from
    FW. Just export as JPG images - they'll be fine if you don't
    OVER optimize
    them, and they'll be MUCH smaller than these are now.
    This is a bit hinky -
    .style1 {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #D1CED0;
    border-top: 0;
    border-left: 0;
    border: 0;
    body {
    background-color: #666666;
    border-left: 0;
    border: 0;
    border-top: 0;
    border-top-style: outset;
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    try this -
    .style1 {
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #D1CED0;
    border-width:0;
    body {
    background-color: #666666;
    border-width: 0;
    margin-left: 0;
    margin-top: 0;
    But the big question is: will it work for me?
    It could.

  • Can't get rid of the # when adding text

    I'm trying to edit a document in Indesign. I started by doing a Pre-Flight to correct errors and have one left I can't get rid of.
    Originally the Text Error was for a font that ID could not find so I changed the font to what was already being used for other text - an included font - Charlamagne Std Regular
    When trying to type text into a text box the type jumps to just above the text box where the pound sign (#) sits.
    When entering type, even after positioning the curser inside the text box, it jumps the text to right before the pound sign, on top of the text box, and adds a pink box under the text.
    I have attached a screen shot to show this. How to I get rid of the pound sign and pink box to be able to simply type some text in the text box (that the pink box is in)? Thanks!

    @dkg62 – to make clear what's going on, select the text frame and show us another screenshot.
    There are at least four cases where you can get a text like that. All cases imply, that the font you'd like to use is missing. I simulated this by formatting text with a font weight that is not available by a character style.
    1. The most likely case: There is baseline shift applied; here in my case 9pt.
    All other cases are academical, because the pink highlighting is aligned with the text:
    2. Text frame options, baseline set to a fixed value (zero in this case)
    3. Text on path and the text frame options (baseline) is just the standard default. You can see a second #-end of story sign inside the text frame.
    4. Text on path and the text frame options (baseline) is set to fixed (zero in this case). The second #-sign inside the text frame is shifted above because of the fixed value of the baseline option of the text frame options. And obscured by the pink highlighting.

  • My iTunes music folder is almost 1.5x the size on disc as my iTunes library. How can I get rid of this extra data?

    When I look at the iTunes music folder in Windows Explorer, it shows as 28.0 GB. In the iTunes library, it says my music is 18.3 GB. I would like to get my 10 gigs back.
    I've tried to add the media folder to my library - it just duplicated maybe 10 songs, didn't add any new ones. This suggests that there isn't any extra music in the folder. So why is it 10 GB larger? How can I get rid of the extra non-music data?

    Apparently there are some mp3 files that aren't adding despite importing the folder...
    That is actually a very common problem, due to iTunes being strict/finicky/incompetent (pick your own interpretation) about slight variations in MP3 formats. The problem can usually be corrected by treating the files with a 3rd party tag cleanup program, such as MP3 Validator.
    i don't know how much of the missing 9.7 GB this will apply to, but definitely worth a try.

  • What is jetpack file? and can i get rid of it?

    what is jetpack file in my profiles?
    can i get rid of it?
    could it be the reason i have problem with java windows at URL below?
    While playing bridge on Pogo, even in safe mode, the java window freezes or kicks me out, or pogo server loses my sign-in name in the window and the site.

    "Other" is the measure of used space on the iPod not taken up by Audio, Video & Photos. This includes the iPod's library and artwork plus any files you may have copied to your iPod in disk mode. The overhead for the library & artwork data is typically 1-2% of the size of the media, e.g. for 1Gb of Audio & Video expect to have around 15mb of "Other". This information is needed for the iPod's operation and cannot be removed.
    If you have significantly larger amounts of "Other", not related to files you've intentionally placed on the iPod, then these are probably disconnected copies of your media files or iPod libraries left over from failed sync operations. The only way to recover the space is to do a full restore.
    If you have copies of all your media in your iTunes library this isn't a problem, but if you've been manually managing the content then you might need to try to recover the files from it first. See this post by forum regular Zevoneer on transferring files from the iPod to your computer. Some of the tools rely on the iPod having a healthy library however the manual method mentioned towards the end of the post should work regardless.

  • My laptop has a virus, how can i get rid of it?

    My laptop has a virus on it and its called AntiVirus 360. I looked up on google what it is and its a virus that disguises itself as a program to help detect viruses when itself is the virus. I've tried many different programs to try and delete it off my computer but nothing seems to work. I also read that sometimes this virus can appear to have been deleted but then when you reboot the computer it re-installs itself. How can I get rid of it completely and permenantly? I have a friend that works at Best Buy and he said you guys could repair it but it costs about $200. I didn't know if there was anything else I could try that you know of. Please help because it keeps messing with my internet pages and is making my computer slower than it should be.
    Thank you for your time!

    Stuff like that is better known as "spyware/malware" - There are categories of malware not consider viruses (although often they are installed by a virus as a larger payload).
    I would suggest trying Malwarebytes.  If Malwarebytes can't fix it, your best bet is probably to nuke and repave.  (i.e. backup your data files and then reinstall Windows and all applications from scratch.)

  • How can I get rid of Euro symbol in text?

    Euro symbol show up in front of Copyright symbol when I test it in Internet Explorer but doesn't when I check it in another browser.
    How can I get rid of it?
    Thank you.

    Does it show up in the code?
    If not it's probably a charset in the page encoding that's being misinterpreted by the browser, or a "web-unfriendly" font...
    I try to stick to UTF-8 and avoid any font that isn't in the default list in DW.
    If you have a link to the page online it would help a lot more though. Without that everything I just posted is a guess.

  • How can I get rid of shimmer effect in videos that I create in iMovie?

    How can I get rid of shimmer effect in videos that I create from photos in iMovie?

    Well, not sure - so exactly what resolution do you use to shoot? Go in your camera settings and check. And, is there a settings to choose for regular/extra/fine/superfine quality? I shoot at the highest quality - period. My size/resolution is either widescreen or larger than what I need for the movie. My TV is HD 720p - that means the screen will display 1200 x 720 pixels in HD; if you have a 1080p, it'd be 1920 x 1080. So shoot in a size a bit larger than that because they can be adjusted down without any quality loss, but can't be made larger without significant loss of quality.
    But,again, the problem usually doesn't start until you add movement, but camera quality has something to do with it as well. I know that a previous camera I had was not as good and a lot of my slideshows/movies didn't come out as perfect as I would have liked. So I bought a more expensive camera - shoots in full 1080 HD and I haven't had a problem since.
    As for exporting a slideshow: finish it in Photo to Movie and export to desktop at highest quality (will take a while). Here is a screenshot of my export settings:
    Once done, you can simply choose that movie by going to "import movies" in iMovie and navigating to the location (I usually save to desktop - easy to find).

  • How can I get rid of CSS

    OK. I am a newbie. I am a photographer and I am teaching
    myself DW 8 because none of the 4 people I hired was able to build
    a website that I could control -and add photos and descriptions
    myself.
    So, I am working on a site that has the footprints from
    several other designers.
    I thought that I had constructed/modified the site with
    tables, but I apparently still have some CSS elements in the site I
    wound up with.
    For example, others have noted that:
    >Unrelated problem, but your CSS looks to be a little
    messed up. You are linking to an invalid stylesheet, you are
    >referencing styles that are not defined, and your naming
    conventions are rather meaningless.
    and
    >..and in some of your pages you are referencing css files
    on your local drive.
    How do i identify and delete the CSS files and references -
    but keep my tables and information intact? I have only a few pages
    to work on, so manual editing of the pages is no problem now.
    At some point I will try to learn CSS - but for now I just
    want a site that works, and that I can understand and update.
    How do I get rid of CSS??? Or maybe I should ask - -Can I get
    rid of CSS?

    this is a bad practice to place large image in a site and
    forced it to re-size by html, user will still wait to load full
    image size when you could have a small image there and the image
    quality is bad when image re-size is forced. You should re-size
    images outside of html and place them in html to its original size.

    Thanks very much for your reply. I will look for yet more
    help to get rid of CSS.
    I do not understand your comment on the images. I created,
    for example, dune-1120 - as a 700x695 jpeg in Photoshop CS (saved
    for the web). On my browser -Mac Safari - it IS opening as that
    size (using JustSo PictureWindow). I did not intend for it to be
    resized by HTML. i will check the other images on the various pages
    (as you noted on
    http://www.naturephotostudio.com/photography.html)
    i think that those 2 images were created at 700x700 pixels and then
    resized whe I inserted them into the table. They are only one or
    two images that do not link to full size windows, and I could
    remake them as jpegs at the final size.
    On the other hand - I see no problem with the images as is on
    my Safari browser and Mac monitors.
    I am sorry that there is no simple fix for removing all the
    CSS code. I may just start over and re-build the site from scratch
    with tables. I am not ready yet for CSS, but I need to get a site
    up and running - while doing my real job as a photographer. i am
    also tired of trying to find designers who are willing to sit in my
    studio and build the site on my local Macs so that I can run it
    form the studio.
