Can't get rid of .plist errors

Snow Leopard (with most recent software)
I am getting Preference errors when I run Drive Genius. It shows me these reoccurring .plist files (in red), and eventually I get an error message saying my drive has failed. I get the same thing when running the proprietary Disk Manager in Snow Leopard (that the drive has failed).
I remove the red-lettered .plist files, but the keep coming back. I also repair my drive with my Snow Leopard disk. I use the computer for music production, and nothing else (except itunes libraries). I don't connect to the internet unless I absolutely must, usually only for software updates.
Here are the .plist files that keep coming back:

Desktop Manager "disconnected" and I can't get rid of the error message

I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 8530, running v5 software, my computer is Windows 7. I installed the 501_b073_multilanguage software that I downloaded from Blackberry's website. When I launch the Desktop manager I get this message: "Before you begin, verify that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer." The troubleshooting posts I've seen on this forum include many tips (the ones I've tried are below). One in particular I can't do is "The desktop manager is showing "disabled."
-Make sure that the user has gone into the desktop manager and selected options > connection settings > detect."
... because I can't get rid of the error message dialoge box, and I can't click on the options menu in the BB Desktop Manager.
I have tried the following:
uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice - 2nd uninstall was a "hard" uninstall where I deleted the registry files by hand
moved the cable to the USB port in the back (after trying both the ports in the front) of the computer
restarted the computer many times
hard booted the phone by removing the battery
plugged in, removed, and replugged in the phone.
Also:
The phone is installing correctly when I plug it in, but the software still doesn't seem to see it.
In the Device Manager, the BlackBerry is showing up under Portable Devices. Double-clicking on it gives me the reassurring "This device is working properly." message.
The Com1 port is working properly also, according to the Device Manager.
Double-clicking on the device manager icon to get the properties shows that the Com1 port is "disconnected" -- when I try to configure it it just pops back to the disconnected state.
If someone has an idea or something I haven't tried I'd sure appreciate it!!

Okay, folks, after a 3 1/2 hour phone call with a (very patient) telephone support person at Blackberry, here's what I learned.
You can check your USB drivers this way:
Plug in your phone into your USB drive. Assuming your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
Go into the Device Manager on your computer (control panel)
Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers item on the bottom of the list
Right-click on BlackBerry Smartphone and choose Properties
Click on the Driver tab
Click on the Driver Details button
You should see one driver. I saw two. The one the BlackBerry likes is the RimUsb one.
So here's what NOT to do: We tossed the entire driver that was the "extra". This effectively made using my mouse and keyboard impossible, as they are USB, and sent my poor husband into the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and then a mouse) with the old fashioned kind of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't do that.
Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you -- this modifies the Registry so better do a system backup with that backup and restore if you're nervous about this sort of thing):
From the start menu, choose run, and type regedit to get into the Registry editor.
Follow this file path: Computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class
Click on: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
If there's an item on the right called "UpperFilters", delete it. (see pictures)

Thanks a lot. The Ask toolbar created this problem. Another problem is: When searching on the web via Google, normally it is possible to type a few letters and then look what appears and then click on the wanted word(s). A number of word(s) ineed do appear, however it is not possible to select any of them as ws possible as mentioned in olders versions.

I've just seen this message for the first time and it's showing on 10 devices.
What I really love about Apple Configurator is the copious amount of context driven help offered to you.

U44m1p7 - Can't get rid of this error!

I have searched and followed every single suggestion I could find. I have totally uninstalled every single CC app on my computer (even used Revo Uninstaller to make sure everything was removed), run CCleaner, etc., etc., and no matter what I do, when I get Creative Cloud installed and install all my apps, they immediately announce there are updates available and ALL of them fail with this error.
Other than completely wiping out my entire system and starting over with a fresh intall of Windows, is there any way to get around this frustrating error?
It's really surprising that after uninstalling with Revo and cleaning my registry that this is continuing to happen.
Anyone have any ideas?

For the appearance shown you can:
1) Type>Create Outlines (and Ungroup if desried);
2) Colour each letter separately;
3) Cut letters with different colours (Y & R) and colour the snipoffs differently.
In 3) you may create a (straight) path and Object>Path>Divide Objects Below.
It is possible to obtain the same appearance with Live Type, but somewhat more clumsily and sillily.
I find the yellow letters a bit weak/hard to read, so I believe I should use a different colouring. You could use a gradient (soft or with hard stops, maybe blue>yellow or blue>yellow>blue) applied to each letter (which can easily be done with Live Type, just select the Type and Effect>Path>Outline Object and keep it selected while working with the gradient), or the dots could have alternating colours so the lettershapes were clearer.

I can't get rid of an error box in mail. It has no close/minimise buttons

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Can't get rid of Validation error popup

I have a text field, which takes only non-zero numbers. But when I enter say"zero" get a validation error . Which is fine. But when I change to quantity to a non-zero positive integer, the error doesn't go away. It doesn't allow me do anything after that.
I can cancel the entry, can't even logout. Completely hoses my app. Any help is appreciated.

How can I get rid of -200492 error in Delphi?

I am using Delphi for my developement. Earlyer, old Ni-DAQ and a MIO-16-E1 served as input device. Now the new one, M6221 works only with NI-DAQmx. So i had to convert to C routines into pascal. Anyway i wrote the following code:

Error message can't get rid of

When I turn my itunes on I get a error message that reads the registry used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other cd burning sortware, please reinstall itunes. I did reinstall and it didn't work. Every thing works just fine but can not get rid of this error mesage.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Cant get rid of download error message in garage band learn to play

I had trouble downloading lessons 5 and 7 in the Blues Guitar learn to play. I found a discussion addressing this, and was able to complete the down load by logging into the guest account. I have all the lessons, but now I can't get rid of the error message that says Garage Band still is waiting to download the lessons. When I click on the message it refers me to call the Apple Store. I was in their electronic feedback loop for 15 mins before I bailed. Any ideas?

Might be easiest to run their uninstall app.
This might mean you have to reinstall it if it is already deleted or better yet download and just mount the volume to open the folders to get to the uninstaller.

How do i get rid of hp error message 400 off of my home page?

I have a compaq presarrio computer and a hp photosmart6510 printer. When I pull up my home page I get a message from hp saying that service is unavailable error message 400. Iam still able to surf the net and use the printer, but I can't get rid of the error message. Does anyone have any ideas? inormally use aol as a homepage. I have tryed to reset it but it is a no go.

Can you manually "google" to the homepage? If so, then the homepage is OK, just re-save the homepage as your default page in Internet Options by selecting "use current".

How can I get rid of error message?

Have tried to set up my pop3 email on my 6700 slide using the same settings I've always used on previous phones/pc and for some reason emails just won't send. However my main problem is that I keep getting a message flash on screen saying 'Unable to send message:[Email address]. As soon as I clear it, it comes back about 2 seconds later and just won't go away. Stops me doing anything on the phone as I have to keep clearing the message every few seconds. I've gone into drafts/outbox, every folder I can find in 'Messaging' and there's no copy of the email to even delete it. I've even gone to my mail server on the web and the message isn't showing. From the mailbox itself on the phone, I've tried to folders under 'More folders' but there's nothing showing - no sent or drafts folders. How can I stop this error message appearing every 2 seconds?

Errors that I Can't get rid of?!

Hello, I'm new to this community and have a question. Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but it's worth a try. So, I got a call from lenovo inc. somewhere in New Jersey (let's be serious please) and they told and showed me that there are a bunch of windows (I have windows 7 by the way) errors on my laptop and that my laptop is corrupt. They showed me by having me type something in a program called run. I could not delete those errors once I saw them, and they also thowed me the corrupt errors/files on the command prompt by typing in something. They said the only solution was for me to buy some security, which I don't remember what it was, but it was a while ago and it had all these plans and was very expensive ranging from like $200-$500. They said if I don't get it then there is a huge risk of hackers stealing my identity/information. They said this is the only way to get rid of it. Now, I am wondering if there is any other free way I can get rid of the errors/corrupt files wthout having to pay so much or without even paying anything at all. I could also be scammed if I had bough the security who knows, but I did see a lot of errors on the program run and I think on cmd, it said my laptop/system was like 80-90% corrupt or something like that. Now, I want to get rid of all these errors and corruption and don't want hackers anywhere near my personal information. How do I do that? Please help. Thank You!

This is a scam.
Neither Microsoft, nor any computer hardware manufacturer (Lenovo, in your case) monitors your system for errors... nor will they ever call you (on their own) to advise you as such.
Most likely, they had you open the Event Viewer, which WILL display many "errors"... all of which are normal and expected.
If you did not allow the caller to take remote control of your system, you should be safe from their shenanigans. It must now be determined whether the so-called "errors" on your system are something that really needs to be addressed by a malware expert, or whether they're routine "warnings" that can be safely ignored. I will leave that matter for someone else, better-qualified, to address.
