Can't get Satellite L655D-S5050 to reinstall W7 with Geek Squad Discs

Hello,
My nephews Toshiba Satelite L655D with Win7 got so slow, it was also sending out e-mails to his Contacts without him doing it. So I tried to use the Geek Squad 3 DVD's they made for us when we purchased Laptop about year ago & a Windows Recovery Enviroment. DVD to do a re-Install back to brand new shape. I changed the Boot Order from HD 1st to DVD/CD 1st.
Nothing would happen but Laptop would stop running. I think nephew tried to do the Re-Install with Toshiba's wizard. So I can't no matter what get Laptop to re-install OS. Nothing I can do I guess. can I buy Microsoft Win 7 Ultimate DVD & do a clean Install?

Hi Peterk_1 I tried changing the order of the install like you said (WRE) 1st then followed by the 3 Disks the Apps & Drivers but its all the same. All that does is take me quickly to that Error window I put in earlier post.
With the 3 discs 1,2,3 that seems like it will work but for whatever reason after disc #1 the other 2 are just in for a minye and pops out asking for next. Then nothing but that window asking for next Disk. I tried (MRE) then but I can tell it won't work. I'm going to have to bring it in to BestBuy. Not sure if nephew is under Warranty, doubt it.
I once before did a re-install of these Discs about 6 months ago after machine had so many virus's it would not do anything, like it was this time. Even if I erased some partitions or he did while messing with laptop before I got it, shouldn't it still go thru re-install back to out of box shape? I used the Toshiba System Recovery link from earlier post

Hello! I have owned my Satellite L655D-S5050 for a little over a year, and this is the first major problem it has given me. I'll try to explain as best as I can. A few days ago, I was using my computer as I usually do, and closed the lid when I was finished using it. I have my computer set up to hibernate when I close the lid. I came back about 20 minutes later, and found that my computer was still on, but the screen was blank. I tried several different things, but I eventually had to do a hard reboot. When I rebooted the computer, the screen remained blank and the fan ran at full speed. The BIOS screen never appeared, and Windows never started. The HDD access light never lit up, and I could not hear any HDD activity occurring. I tried pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot, but it didn't do anything. I had to do another hard reboot. After pressing the power button again, the same thing happened, and it happens every time I try to start the computer. This is where I am currently at. Has anyone else experienced this before? Anybody have any possible fixes? Thanks in advance!!

I just got my computer to start up!! What I did was similar to the "towel trick". I turned on the computer, closed the lid, and then covered the computer with my bed's comforter. After about an hour or so, I noticed that the fan was no longer running full-speed, but was still running. I held down the power button to turn off the computer, then pressed it again to turn it on, and was greeted by the Toshiba logo! After trying (and failing) a startup repair, Windows is now running as it should. I am now pretty sure that this is being caused by a hardware failure. Based on what I've heard from a few other Toshiba Satellite owners, this appears to be the result of the solder joints on the southbridge failing, and therefore breaking the connection between the southbridge chip and the motherboard. I truly hope Toshiba looks into this, and if it is found to be a manufacturing defect, will respond properly. Anyway, I am sure that this will happen again in the future, but for now I can use my computer again! I'll let you all know what happens. EDIT:I tried restarting the computer, and it once again failed to start. After the towel trick, I got it running again, and am currently using my computer! It is obvious that this is just a temporary fix, but it's better than nothing.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hey there!
I've spent the best part of the day unpicking this huge mess from the upgrade I completed last night - what a nightmare. I followed a tonne of advice - [actaully, this link was really helpful to me]: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/msvcr80-dll-not-found-missing -error.htm however, I still could not fix the **** thing - and that was following basically a day of uninstalling, installing etc.
In the end - I completed a system restore taking my computer back about five days, and just ignoring the new upgrade with itunes until they can get this fixed.
I hope that this might work for you and anyone else reading this. It nearly drove me to drink [!]. I seemed to get past one error message and have it replaced by another - so the system restore was basically the last resort.

So it seem's that I can't get my HP laserjet p1102w to work with airprint. I got it to send out it's own Wi-Fi signal, and i get in touch with that signal on my iPad 3. But when I wan't to print something out from Pages, then it says that it can't find any airprinters.
I tried to update the firmware several times, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions to what I can do?

As a work-around you can also use the HP eprint method which is available with your printer. The application (HP Home & Biz) is available for free in the apple catalogue.

An OCR software i integrated within the HP Scan Software.
Within the Applications folder locate the Hewlett-Packard folder and launch the HP Scan software.
Once completing the scan you may select RTF or TXT files which will save the scan by processing OCR.
If you do not have the HP Scan software installed be sure to install the following software by checking the HP Scan option during the installation:
