Can't get songs purchased with AOL account to play

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. I just got a new Macbook Pro and transferred all my iTunes songs over from my iMac. Everything appeared to go smoothly, except for one very annoying issue.
When I click on a song that I purchased on iTunes with my AOL account, I get a pop-up window asking me to log in, which I do, using my AOL info.
Then I get a message saying, "an Apple account for this user has already been created, please sign in with your Apple ID and password"
So I do, and I get a message saying "this computer is already authorized. You have authorized 3 out of your available 5"
Seems like success, right? Wrong. When I try to play the song, I get the same original pop-up asking me to authorize this computer. It's an annoying cycle, and I'm growing increasingly frustrated. I've tried creating a whole new Apple ID, but that hasn't worked either.

Try this - de-authorize you computer. Close iTunes and reboot the computer - then open iTunes and authorize your computer. See if you can play an authorized tune.

Apparently I have some songs in my iTunes library that I purchased with an old Apple ID. They won't play on my new computer, because they're not authorized to. But that old ID is connected to an email address that doesn't even exist anymore? I have no idea what the password was. How can I authorize my new computer to play these old songs? Or do I just need to kiss those songs goodbye?

You should have simply updated your AppleID rather than creating a new one.

Do you have computers as well which your phones sync from?
Copy the songs to your machine using the Home Sharing
If you have not already done so then Authorise your computer with her Apple ID then you can play and sync this content to your phone

Hi there,
I have took over an old Ipad from my sister recently.
Yesterday, i have create an account for Singapore and entered Credit card details.
Once i want to make payment with my own account, the screen pop up and ask my to verify the payment details before finalizing the purchase. After key in the Verification code, another screen pop up and ask me to log in again (but this time is to log in to my sister's account).
I'm unable to make any purchase this moment because of this issue, pls assist and advise how can i solve it ?

r u shure you have any ballance for your account u can check your ballance on the top of your screen if u have a account it u have not reedemed the gift card yet go to the itunes store main page and u can reedeem it if u look at the right hand side of the page and scroll down and click redeem and type in the code on the back of the card and that should do the trick hope this helps

If you are getting a message to contact iTunes support then you can do so via this page and ask them why the message is appearing : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

How can I authorize my songs again? I tried to sign in to hotmail again and it says i don't have an account, but when I try to create a new one with the same name, it says one already exists.
When I try to recover the password from Apple, it of course wants to send an email to the account I can't get into, and when I try to do the security questions, it says my DOB is incorrect. How can that be wrong?! I am pretty sure I know my exact birthdate. Now I can't listen to a bunch of my music.

How can I authorize itunes songs purchased with ID that no longer exists?

I bought an Macbook Pro and am transferring all the songs I bought from
my old laptop to the Macbook. Some of the songs were purchased from
itunes using two different apple IDs that don't exist anymore. I tried to
authorize the Macbook to play these songs using the old ID and password but it
doesn't work (I'm pretty certain I have the correct passwords but it is possible they are wrong). Please don't tell me I can't listen to these songs
anymore. Is there anything I can do?

I have exactly the same problem! When I try to play a song purchased under an old Apple ID (before I moved to Japan), I get: "This computer is not authorized to play "(song title)". Would you like to authorize it? To play this song you must authorize this computer to play songs purchased using the account "(my OLD Apple ID)". You may authorize up to 5 computers for each account."
I tried to authorize the song using my OLD Apple ID and password, but it didn't work because that Apple ID no longer exists. The weird thing is that after trying to authorize a song with my NEW Apple ID, the computer tells me I have successfully authorized it but then the song won't play and I get the same Authorize Computer dialogue box popping up again when I click the play button or double-click the song title.
It's VERY frustrating!

You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??
