Can't get SSL/TLS e-mail access working

Am having zero luck trying to get my wife's brand new 9810 to access a pop/imap account on a server where SSL/TLS is mandatory.
Background -- I'm the server admin.
I can access e-mail on the same server/domain from my 9700 Bold running OS 6 -  I can do SSL/TLS connections to e-mail just fine.
When I look at the server-side logs when the 9810 is attempting to connect, I see that the SSL/TLS session is not getting established - hence the username/password is never being sent to the server.
The 9810 is running OS 7.1.x  -  is this version of the OS buggy?
Looking for an e-mail wizard to help me figure this out.

Please try this:

Also, please try integrating from the BB Browser using this url:

Also try using your carriers BIS site, from a PC/Browser

If your carrier is not listed, you may need to contact them to find their BIS site, if they have such.
Also, if you talk to them, they should be able to integrate the account as well. Further, if they can't help get it working, they have the power to escalate your case into RIM for enhanced support.

    We are talking about the Mail app, right? In the Mail menubar, click on Window and then Previous Recipients:
    That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator.

    If your Verizon account is an IMAP account you can create folders on the iPad via the Edit button when you are in the account. If you see an edit button in the window where your inbox, draft folder, sent folder and trash folder appear in that account - tap on it and an Add Mailbox button will pop up at the bottom of the window. If there is no Edit button there - your account is not an IMAP account and you cannot create folders on the iPad in the mail app.

    If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
    If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
    If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
    If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

    You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
    If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
    Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. Note also the iCloud storage is not general file storage in the manner of the iDisk but is restricted to iOS device Backup, Mail, Photo Journal and Documents.

    Little question: I can't get SSL up and running . I used the cer. that was created by the installation of my new mac OSX 10.6 Server. I exported the cer. and have imported it in my Macbook Pro (Mac OSX 10.6.1) now I want to use it with a VPN connection but can't connect (without using the cer. everthing works). Any ideas?? I'm not the Mac OSX expert but I know my way .

    PS: I've tried recreating the SSL certificate to no avail.
    If i enable the https server for SDM etc, the SSL certificate works fine.

    Question - I can't get my second e-mail to verify.

    Check the sync settings for the email; see if it is set to sync at all, or what the interval is set at.  I set mine to every 15 minutes for 30 minutes .... Go to settings > Accounts > Email > Choose the email account and it should have Sync settings where you can set up the schedule.
    You also should be able to open the email account, and sync within it manually, regardless of the sync settings.

    You can get this from an inventory report in PI (Select Report Type AP). Here is an example of PI 2.1 works for me. Once you export this into excel you can sort based on controllers & filter the single controller connected AP you want.

    They are designed for coins... is this your first time changing the battery? Make sure you are twisting in the right direction and make sure you are pushing down on it and applying pressure at the same time you turn.

    That requires you to enter the configuration correctly.  You can find out the configuration for your email from your ISPs website in most cases. Or if you're using Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail you need only Google something like:
    "Gmail configuration for Apple Mail"  or  "Hotmail configuration for Apple Mail" (without the quotes). 
    That should get you started..

Then he had me to go into my access point and see if its set up correctly. Well obviously it is cause I can still surf the net on my phone just can't get this darn Nokia messaging to work anymore.     If the error message you are receiving is that your iTunes Gift Card in inactive, you should contact iTunes Store Customer Support via the Contact Support link on the lower-left side of the iTunes support page and include attached digital photos or scanned images of the sales receipt and both sides of the gift card.
