Can't get SSL to work for WebVPN

Hi all,
I'm trying to get webvpn setup, and have it all configured correctly.... but there seems to be a problem with the SSL part.
I can connect on port 80, it redirects to port 443... but never shows the login box, just keeps trying to load.
I can telnet to port 443 fine and i've disabled all other services using port 443 (like http secure-server).
The status is UP for the gateway and context. I've no idea what to do next. It appears to be trying, but not succeeding. I've tried different IPs, on different sides of the NAT. I've tried with loopback ip, ips on the VLAN, the public IP etc.
Please please help, here's some info...

PS: I've tried recreating the SSL certificate to no avail.
If i enable the https server for SDM etc, the SSL certificate works fine.

xp 64 bit is not mentioned but it doesn't seem to be supported for the latest ITunes so it seems that you're out of luck.

Can't get SSL to work :(

Hi guys,
Little question: I can't get SSL up and running . I used the cer. that was created by the installation of my new mac OSX 10.6 Server. I exported the cer. and have imported it in my Macbook Pro (Mac OSX 10.6.1) now I want to use it with a VPN connection but can't connect (without using the cer. everthing works). Any ideas?? I'm not the Mac OSX expert but I know my way .

Can't get Extreme to work for me

I bought an Airport Extreme in May and just cannot get it to work for me. It most likely has to do with my settings as it seems complicated for me. My ISP refuses to help me other than providing me with some router/IP info. They claim they have had problems with Airport Extremes (anti-Mac) and do not know how to help me and I should contact Apple. My ISP also claims they have been successful with their few Mac clients using NetGear and they can help with that.
This is depressing to me because I am loyal Mac user and have never had problems with any Mac product. But I can't figure this one out on my own. I do not see phone support for the Airport Extreme and I feel exhausted by this.
Is anyone is willing to walk me (could be painful) through this or willing to buy my Extreme and I will concede to my pro-Windows ISP. In the end, all I want is one of my computers to be online wireless.

Hi Jeanine,
Don't assume that it is just a question of anti-Macness. There are legitimate reasons why an ISP (or a business) decides not to support this weird device. It goes against most of what is considered reasonable by the leading manufacturers, but hey, it's Apple. They usually don't care about that as long as they have loyal customers who still trust Apple.
I'd say that the critical settings are in the Internet tab. Assuming you have your computer connected to the airport using an Ethernet cable, and that you have the Admin Utility running, go to the Internet Tab and make sure that:
1. Connect using: Ethernet
2. Configure IP - It depends. You say that your ISP has given you some router/IP info. In that case, you need to choose "Manually" and enter all the fields following this setting. Otherwise, they might have told you that you will be assigned a DHCP address, and in this case choose "Using DHCP." The last two boxes ("Domain Name" and "DHCP ID") are usually not utilized.
3. For "Ethernet WAN Port" Automatic should suffice, but in my case, I had to force it to 100 Full Duplex or otherwise wouldn't work. Go figure!
4. For Connection Sharing, most probably you'll have "Share a public IP address" but if the ISP gives you a set of addresses, you may need to choose "Distribute a Range..." Not probable, though.
Leave the other two tabs as default, but make sure that your computer has DHCP enabled.
Following this steps won't give you a fully working wireless network (we have not configured anything yet) but at least should give you a working state for computers connected via Ethernet wire. We can take the next step then.
Good luck. This router (and the iPhone for similar reasons) are going to make may Apple loyal customers rethink future purchases. It has certainly happened to me.

Can't get Themes to work for movie using iMovie on ipad

I finsished a trailer using iMovie on my iPad successfully and LOVED it! Sooo fun!
Now I'm trying to make a movie for a friend's wedding, but I can't get it to work with the themes. When I select my theme and start a new project using a few pictures the theme music works when I replay, but no visual elements of the theme I selected show up (or available for selection). when I click on the gear wheel, it does show what theme I selected.... What am I missing???? The only place the theme shows up is on the tile in the "projects" section.
Then I tried the same thing on my iphone 4S (iOS7) and the same thing happens.
I looked at the tutuorials etc...and I think Im doing it right (after all, I got the trailer to work perfectly) and I think I'm not technologically challanged - but I just would like to have the theme visual elements to show up.

Since i can't get Adobe to work for my games on ipad what do i do

I can't get Adobe to work on my IPAD, i get something that says Adobe and apple are having problems. Is there anything else i can use other than Adobe flash?

Flash is not supported on the iPad, and probably never will be.
Depending on what sites you are trying to access, you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire, iSwifter, and Puffin which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites. If you want to play flash games then you are probably out of luck if you want to play on-line though the iSwifter app might work on some of them, but again some flash games have app versions in the store.

A mouse, which is a pointing device, will not work with an iPad...there is no cursor for the mouse to move around. You must use the touch screen.

Can't get audio to work for HD DVD

Anyone have any insight into what audio enoding works for HD DVD? I've tried both aiff and ac-3 to go along with MPEG2 video and my Toshiba HD A2 won't play back sound from either type. Help!

I have used both on the Toshiba A2. I assume the build file had sound when you tested it in the Apple DVD Player?
I have not played with the audio settings much on the Toshiba, do not know if there is a setting there that can change things.
I can take a look and run some tests to see if I can get it happening. Also if you like I can put together a small project to see if you can also get it to run.

Can't get printer to work for my life

Even if printer is on at boot, printer won't work.
This has happened before, and I can usually get it working after fiddling with it for 10-15 minutes, then it stops working promptly.
I had it working a few nights ago, now it has stopped again.

USB is not an option for "Device for PrinterName" in the CUPS web interface

An adapter, my mistake.
I had a parallel printer plugged into a USB port through an adapter for a while, and it exhibited the same behavior. My "solution" was to delete the printer and then recreate in CUPS. Sometimes the interface would reappear and sometimes it wouldn't.
Dusty started a thread about this a while back, and I was the last one to answer. Maybe you can get a hold of him and see if he had any success.

Can't get WRT54G to work for close to a year now.

I've been having major problems with my WRT54G router to work properly, for close to a year now. I have a: Westell 2200 Modem, connected to DSL (Verizon, connected through PPPoE) WRT54G Modem (Linksys) Laptop with Wireless Card (XP) Desktop with Wireless Card (VISTA) Desktop hooked directly to router (XP) The problems are: Connecting directly to modem (ethernet), internet works fine. All my wireless computers SEE the router, and have 5 bars, but I cannot connect to the internet regularly. I've tried everything. Configuring it manually, using the LELA, etc. etc. I've tried every mode on the router. PPPoE, Bridge, Automatic Config, Static IP I've tried replacing the router, 3 times. I've tried upgrading/rolling back the Router software versions I've tried Linksys Custom Support line dozens of times (Useless, and now they wont let me call without taking more of my money) On my Vista, to even connect to the wireless network, I have to reboot 3 times, repair my connection, make 4 failed attempts to connect, finally connect (limited connectivity) I've called Verizon (they blamed Linksys) and I've called Linksys (they've blamed Verizon) On My laptop, I can connect sometimes, successfully, but I have to reset my router about 4-5 times a day. On our Desktop XP (wired to router) the connection resets alot as well. Everyone I know just plugs their router in, and it works fine. I've had to mess around with the options and menus for weeks to even get some internet. Is something wrong here??

I can't get inline to work for this simple function.

I thought I understood [Inline] but my app says otherwise.
I've been using [Inline] with great success for a few months now; however, this quick snippet of code won't [Inline] properly. I know this because I've ran numerous tests with the function looped 100,000 times and I'll get around 400ms with [Inline] and 400ms without [Inline].
I could just be really sleepy and frustrated, but I thought I'd try and learn so that I wouldn't make the same mistake again. So here are the guts of the function in question:

Since posting I've actually played around with the removal of the extra function and it started to work properly. I don't understand why my Collision check was making the function ineligible for [Inline]...

Can't get Flashplayer to work for Mac

I am having an issue with my Flashplayer. I recently thought it was specific to Firefox but it appears to be all browsers. I used to just crash all the time, but now I can actually no longer watch many videos, though youtube still appears to work. I have seemingly tried everything. Uninstalled and reinstalled, activated plugins, made sure they're up to date, etc. I have tried every suggestion I've found anywhere on the web and nothing has worked. I am growing quite frustrated. I am using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.

I think I have the problem solved - at least this one (I seem
to be having another one with saving to SPRY/HTML format).
I got the clue from another post. Apparently FW doesn't like
folder names with spaces and my site was buried pretty deep in the
directory structure. I copied the site to a location just under the
root of the drive and made sure there were no spaces in the folder
names so now it only has to look for DRV:/mywebsite/images and then
I export the gallery to DRV:/mywebsite/photo_gallery.
All the flash galleries seem to work fine but I'd like to
look at the SPRY/HTML gallery before I make a final decision which
to go with.
Al for FW defaulting to it's orignal program directory
everytime I go to look for an album I simply find it annoying...

I have been having problems with Firefox for some time now. I have a HP running a AMD Athlon II X4 (Windows 7). Only major software is PC Tools PC Doctor, Skype, and other MS Office software.
Firefox will simply stop loading webpages and just sit there. Internet Explorer will work fine. I have completely uninstalled, ugraded, and just about everything I can think of. This has been ongoing. It will work great for about 2 weeks, then stops. Any help would be appreciated, i don't want to use IE.

Can't get ActiveSync to work for Microsoft Outlook...

My school email is through Microsoft Outlook and I would really like to sync it to my phone, however it wont let me. When I try it makes me do it the manual way then says my user name and/or password are wrong, I've checked multiple times and they aren't......any suggestions?? this is so frustrating.

I have the same problem with my corporate email account. Yet if I use Touchdown, I can get it to synch.
I am very satisfied with my Incredible, but my complaint is that I SHOULD NOT have to pay for an app to do the same thing that my phone should do natively.
When the Droid X released with Active Synch issues, VZW/Motorola provided free licenses to use Touchdown to correct the issue until the fix could be rolled out. Why can't we get that some kind of love for the Incredible users?
