Can't get the "send" button to activate in the Messages application on a new 4th gen iPad. anybody else have this problem?
Ipad works properly receiving messages but the applicationAnybody else seen this problem and have it solved?
this happend on my ipad as well, make sure the person you are tryng to send an imessage to is registered with imessage. if you tap on the number itself, if it shows up in red it should say this phone number is not registered with imessage.
if thats the case.

I have a 4s with the latest 6.0.1 update and windows 7 with iTunes 11. When I connect the phone, windows can see but iTunes doesn't. Have tried re-installs and re-starts. Anybody else have this problem?

my iPhoto doesn't even open! i get same message saying it's unreadable! anybody else have this problem!?
First try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If it doesn't then your current library is the culprit.
If that's the case make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

They are not from Apple/iTunes, they are phishing attempts to try and get your account and payment details - don't click on any of the links in them.

my iphone will only send imessages. I can not send messages to other phones. Has anyone else had this problem?
Check with your cell provider and make sure your texting plan is properly provisioned.

I have a late 2011 OS X Lion 10.7.4 that is only 6 months old. For the first 4 months I had no problems, but then about 6 weeks ago I downloaded an Angry Birds update from the Apple App Store, and my problems began. When playing Angry Birds the the new Angry Birds update for the first time the cursor began to jump around, moving on it's own as if someone else was controlling it. After a few moments I became obvious I could not control the cursor with the trackpad. When I placed the tip of my finger gently in the center of the trackpad to try to hold the cursor still it becan switching from the game (desktop) to launchpad and mission control. I then put the computer down so I was not even touching it, walked several feet away and the cursor still moved on it's own.
I've done a lot of research over the last few weeks on related articles and realized this is a common problem with numerous different causes: PRAM settings,
screen sharing, remote settings, having fingers accidently touch edges of trackpad, writst resting too close to trackpad, swollen battery, etc. and I don't think it's due to any of those issues.
The problem came out of nowhere. My computer stays at home, and is not used by anyone else. At first it was just Angry Birds, but now it can happen at any time. Sometimes hours or days go by when this does not happen, sometimes it happens so much I can't use the computer at all. It can get so bad that I won't be able to click out of whatever I'm doing on my desktop, and I'll have to shut it down by holding the power button.
Has anyone else had this issue after updating Angry Birds?try a new/fresh apple brand cable and make sure it is the only usb cable in use. this worked for me, i noticed i had no problem with a lighting cable. i did a restore from scratch and from backup and it did not help me...and if you cant sync than you wont be able to get anything but apps back after the restore

My scroll function on my mouse will not allow me to scroll up and down....i.e. this page I'm on right now. I have to go to the side bar to go up or down and manually move the bar. If this is the way 4.0 is ...I guess I'll use Internet Explorer???? This happens to all web sites. I've searched for answers but haven't found any. Using Windows XP-PRO on Lenovo desktop.
Please can you shed anymore light on my issue with wifi. Since replacing the screen I can't access wifi at home (and everything else is working at home on the wifi i.e. laptops) but it access the wifi in the local shopping centre. Has this happened to anyone before?

While I was updating the iOS, my phone shut off and I had to do a factory reset since doing so. Since I did the update, on the upper part of the screen has decreased function, and detects my movement as zoom. Does anybody have this going on, or have a fix?
When you say that it detects your movement as zoom, do you mean as you move your fingers it is increasing or decreasing the zoom? If that is the case, then zoom is turned on in Accessibility. If you are able to enter Settings, go to General>Accessibility>Zoom and turn that off.

aye so im getting this weird knocking sound in the centre of my macbook pro whenever i play video for awhile or gaming. this just started happening recently its been perfectly fine before even when it gets hot. anybody have or had this probem? please help
Try resetting your SMC and PRAM.

I purchased 2 new Macs, 1 a Mac Air 13" loaded and an iMac for my wife. I received 2 sets of emails, one with the code and the other with the PDF. When I tried to install last night, I would open the PDF and it asked for a password. I checked both sets of emails, which Aopple sent me 2 sets 3 days apart, and neither one had anything looking like a password. I called Apple Care and they said that it was on the sheet under the Thank hyou from Apple...NOT! She then said they would resend the emails again and hopefully have the password this time. Has anyone had this issue??????
Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

Settings>FaceTime...is it on? If so, try turning it off, wait ~30 seconds or so, then turn it back on.

Check to see if Airplay is present as it's a little hidden away. Press the home button twice then swipe along the bottom from left to right. You should get the volume and screen settings and there should be a Airplay icon.

Don't know if it's sync or icloud but I have started getting thousands of ithmb files in my pictures library each day. I can't open them and I have to continually delete them. Anyone else have this problem?

I did the recent update on my ipad 7.0.4 and now it keeps freezing up and can not use it. Tried reboot and works for a second then freezes right up again. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Seems like you tried this all ready and it didn't help.
Next might be to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings
Note that when you do this you will not lose data but you will have to enter all passwords again.
If that doesn't help you might tries a restore of your iPad using iTunes on the computer you normall sync with. Do a backup and save all data first. Or
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
