#1 most servers are cAsE sEnSiTiVe. For best results on the web, use all lower case file and folder names.
#2 rename your folder/file names without any spaces. White spaces in folder and file names throws validation errors in HTML5 docs.

Or better yet, just shorten it to web_episodes/
#3 what app did you use to convert your 3 video files? You may be missing required codecs.
#4 is your server configured to support the new MIME file types?

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

I can't get video to play at all on MAC!

I just recently purchased and downloaded Premiere Elements 12 for a class. My project deadline is fast approaching and I can't get any videos to play with either the toggle bar (space bar) or by using the VCR like buttons. I am using the "Classroom in a Book" tutorials AND trying to start a new project with my videos and this issue is occuring in both. I am able to select the video and place it on the timeline and pull the cursor left and right with NO SOUND.... I can also do this in the preview mode...BUT IT WILL NOT PLAY ON ITS OWN..... please advise.... I have a brand new MAC that we purchased in November, therefore I have all the updates.

Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements Mac?
Administrative Privileges are required for both Premiere Elements and QuickTime. Are you Mac computer permissions set appropriately for this?
What are the properties of this video...
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
file extension
pixel aspect ratio
Is the problem only with this one particular video source or is the problem for all video and still imports?

I am having no luck trying to get video on to monitors using splitters from the main video system. the video on the main system works fine. can anyone help me with this?

It would seem that you accidentally unchecked all your songs. Go to the Songs view and CTRL+click on any empty checkbox. If you don't see the checkboxes press CTRL+A and then right-click for options or visit the preferences dialog box to enable them.

How can I get videos to play in playlists on my ipod touch ios6?

I have an iPod Touch that used to have ios5.1 in it but I upgraded it to ios6.
Since upgrading, the ability to play vidoes in Playlists in iTunes, seems to have disappeared!
I still have one iPod Touch with ios5.1 and it still works fine this way but the one with ios6 will not show the videos in the Playlist I created.
Anyone know how to get this fucntion back?
I've heard you can't go back to an older ios once you upgrade.....then I heard you can but it's difficult.

Can't get videos to play from offline

Hey,
Every time I try to play Camtasia videos that I've downloaded
to my files, I get a message saying I need to enable JavaScript (it
is) and download the latest version of FlashPlayer (I have, roughly
a thousand times). I'm on XP, my browser is Firefox, and the videos
play fine if I play them from the person's website. Can anyone tell
me what's going on and how to fix it?

As you may or may not know there are some sites out there that choose to not consider Macs when they design their sites. This does lead to some problems for us Mac users from time to time...
What you both need to have is the latest Safari, Quicktime, and Flip4Mac installed. And Dan if you like you can use WinMedia because your machine is not Intel. On SI I am able to play videos...actually it's just CNN so it "should" work for you? But I'm not running Panther. Usually on CNN and on SI it was the same it told me I need to update but I declined and continued using Flip4Mac plugin and it was fine. CNN videos are not Quicktime compatible so that won't help you in this case. With NBA.com it seems their player is proprietary and I was not able to play it on Safari. However on Firefox/Camino it was ok. This might be a case you need to use another browser as I'm not sure of any specific fix for this? But the SI is strange...do you have the box for using Flip4Mac plugin checked in your System Prefs?
As for BBC you probably need Flip4Mac...do you have it installed? Quicktime will play everything compatible but it will not play Windows Media format. For that you will need Flip4Mac...

After converting to .mp4, I can't get videos to play.....

I recently downloaded videos, and uploaded some off of DVDs, in both .avi and .mp4 formats. After loading them to iTunes, I was able to get them into my iPod, but now I can't view them on the computer. When I open them in Quicktime, through iTunes, I just get audio and static, yet they still run fine on my iPod. If anyone has any ideas whats wrong, I would be very appreciative. Thank you.

The error message you're seeing is because your iMac's been upgraded to the Lion OS, and the Lion OS doesn't support PPC applications.
You've got a couple of choices:
1. You can spend the $100 or so to upgrade to Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, which, by the way, includes a free update to the next version of Office for Mac.
2. You can convert all of the Excel files to Numbers. Be aware, though, that there may be some formatting changes made during the conversion.
I'm not at my Mac right now, but there is a way to associate files with a given application. It involves right-clicking the file, choosing Get Info, then changing something in the resulting window. Unfortunately, I can't provide the exact wording just now.

Can't get videos to play in iPod.

I used Quicktime Pro 7 to convert videos of other formats to the mpeg-4 (.mp4) and the ipod .m4u format, both of which should work as they are the formats supported. However, I get a blank white screen when I try to play the videos on the ipod, although the sound comes through-- not the video.

No problem here streaming video on that site. If you have Safari set to run in 64 bit mode, Flash prefers 32 bit mode. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html
Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.
Also, from the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Empty Cache. Relaunch Safari.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting to a different computer if your current one is out of commission. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it.

I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did. I'm using a small Vizio HDTV. I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers. In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down. Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

What kind of video? There are dozens of formats, some don't play on a Mac unless you have the right plug-ins for Quicktime. There are some things you should download to help you out.

These should cover EVERYTHING you'd ever encounter (though maybe not). Frankly, if it's not H.264 or w4v (or both), it doesn't belong on your mac.

How? Using what equipment/software?

Just a guess: You're using a VCR-DVD combo recorder. DVDs produced in this way will play on the device that made them, but won't play on anything else until they're "finalized." In fact, Macs will recognize unfinalized DVDs as blank discs until the discs are finalized. Check the manual that came with the recording device for instructions.
