Can't get W-XP installed with ML10.8; nor can I install Bootcamp 2 or 3 ?!

Searched the fora on the net; can't find my answers. Please help ??
Having an MBP late 2008 (unibody, intel, 2.4Ghz 4Gb) the old HD faded and I replaced it with new HD. Installed new Mountain Lion 10.8 on it.
I need my accounting software which is ... windows based, in fact it needs windows no later than XP. Sorry guys...
So Windows partition is required. The interface is Parallels Desktop 7, but could be replaced.
Meanwhile, I have created a partition for Windows, FAT (DOS) formatted through Disk Utility.
The Bootcamp installer on 10.8 (which is version 5) will definately only install Windows7. It will ask: need additional drivers? and: create partition to install Windows 7? (or: now I created a partition: delete partition?); one cannot leave any of the questions unchecked.
I do not have W-7 (I saw that W-7 has an addtional program that emulates XP so it could work). I have a legal copy of W-XP
I do not have W-XP installed yet; don't know how to do that. I thought to start the MBP, hold "C" and install W-XP but some people advised not to do this (although the boot CD of W-XP works just fine). This is the first problem.
Apple Support mentions to use Bootcamp 2. Can't find 2.0 but only upgrades to 2.1 and 2.2. So this is the second obstacle.
Discussion Boards tell that BC2 is on the install CD's of (snow) Leopard. I can't find on Leopard CD, other than having to install OS-X 10.5 ??? This is the third problem.
Besides, the Bootcamp 2 or 3 apps are EXE files. OS-X cannot handle EXE files. So I wonder how to install these? This is the fourth problem.
Parallels Dekstop could install W-XP, but not on the later versions that are required for Lion or Mountain Lion. Obstacle 5.
Please help to install W-XP !?!?
What are the steps required ???

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the advice. It succeeded.
The steps I made was to make a disk copy of my original Windows XP disk using Disk Utilty. Then I renamed the disk copy into .iso. I copied the ISO file to my usb flash drive.
Than I started Parallels 7, created a new VM, selected the correct drive to install from (the usb flash drive) and volia, it worked.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

How can I get Lion to work with label printer- Brother QL 570 or Dymo 450 Turbo?

I can't get Lion to work with label printers, either Brother QL 570 or Dymo Turbo 450. I want to uninstall Lion and use Snow Leopard unless there is a way to make Lion work with these devices. Any ideas?

Dymo has released new drivers since Lion came out. Have you downloaded and
installed them from the Dymo website?
Some people have said that their Dymo label printers were set to off line by Lion, but
worked fine after going to Print & Scan, selecting the Dymo printer, and making sure
it was active/on-line. I had to do that with my Dymo 450 Label Writer.
I cannot offer any tips about Brother, but you may wish to check their website
for latest drivers.

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers
There are a few more things we might check but this is a good start.

If you want to see all of that in a single mailbox, you can create a Smart Mailbox from the "file" menu in the top left corner of your screen. It's a bit of trial and error before you get the rules correct, perhaps, but that will work.

The latest Apple driver support begins with the MP 171.
Here is Ricoh's official driver download page specifically for the Afico MP 161. Note that new drivers for this device were released on Aug 2, and include Lion and Mountain Lion.
Hopefully, this will solve your device issues.

You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).
