Can't get your Apple TV to show up in ITunes Devices? Try This!!!

I tried everything, even Applecare couldn't figure it out after 3 hrs.
Try this (hope it works for you like it does me!)
try resetting your NVRAM via the following process:
Shut down your Mac, then start it back up while immediately holding the following keys: Command, Option, P and R.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.
I got this from Macfixit.com as a fix for a unrecognized wireless network, and now my Apple TV connects to ITunes!

you need to upload their podcast composition to .Mac or another server. If you're loading to .Mac use iWeb.
iTunes just points to the podcasts out on the web. It doesn't load them. You can't have them on your local computer unless it's RSS server enabled and is on the net 24/7.
Create a podcast page in iWeb. The main podcast page holds your artwork and a description of your podcasts. This artwork and info will be uploaded to iTunes. On this main podcast page, you'll see an ENTRY button. Click on that and you'll get a new page that is automatically underneath your main page in the SITE ORGANIZER. Put the first episode of your podcast there, with a description, date, and title.
SUBMIT TO ITUNES next under the FILE menu. You'll get an email from iTunes saying that they are reviewing your feed, then a couple of days later you'll get an approval email with your podcast url feed id. (keep this handy for later)
Then, people will be able to go to iTunes and download students compositions.

Can't get a podcast page to show up in iTunes online

I am trying to get student created GarageBand compositions up to iTunes online so that when a link to their song is clicked on an iWeb page a viewer can listen to or download the compostition.
I drug a playlist from iTunes to an iWeb podcast page and "submitted/published the new podcast page to iTunes and .mac"
It took a couple of attempts, but the page appears to have uploaded. When the links are clicked on the page

iTunes opens but no results for the student composer are found.
From what I've read in discussions and help, the page can take a few days to become available, but it has been over a week.

How can I get the iPhone icon to show on the iTunes screen. I want to check some music for loading into the phone, can't locate the phone icon.

I always have trouble moving music from my MacPro to my phone. The phone icon doesn't show on the iTunes screen where it's supposed to. I may be missing some setup step that makes the phone show there. Any clues?

Plug the cable into the iPhone and into a USB port directly on your computer, not a USB hub. Also make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.

How can i get my apple mail to show the top item

This is a small thing that is driving me nuts.
When I click on a mailbox, it starts the list at various places, instead of at the top. Usually it is one item down, so I have to scroll to get to the newest item.
Sometimes it starts in the middle of the list, so nearly every time I need to scroll a few millimeters up the list to read the new ones.
Why would it do this? It strikes me as being designed that way, but maybe it is just 'off' a bit in specs.
Any way I can adjust this? If not, Apple, could you please make this small adjustment?

More exact example:
I click on my sent messages to see the last one I sent. The window does not start at the top of my list, it starts at item number 6.
Every single time I go into sent mail I have to do the extra step of moving the right hand side slider up to the top.

Can you get your apple product engraved in a apple store? If so how much would it cost?

Just wondering because I purchased an ipod and want to get it engraved.

I believe that engraving has to be ordered before purchase, and is only for online purchases. It is not done in the physical stores.

How can I get my Apple TV 3 to see me iTunes library again?

I have the following setup: my main computer (Windows 8) is connected via LAN to the router (it has no wireless adapter), and all other devices are wireless (that's three iPhones, an iPad, an Apple TV 3 and a Macbook Pro (Latest Mountain Lion)).
Everything was working fine until last week; the only thing that I can think of that changed is that I updated iTunes everywhere.
Now none of my devices will admit to seeing my main iTunes library (the iPhones and iPad in Remote, the Apple TV in Computers, the Mac in iTunes).
What gives? I've tried everything: signing in and out (and in and out and in and out) of Home Sharing (everywhere); changing Apple IDs everywhere; rebooting the router; rebooting everything else (including unplugging from power); yelling my lungs off at the stupid Apple TV for its "iTunes libraries... will appear here" for no good reason really.
Help!
(Obviously what I really care about is the ATV3 recognizing my main iTunes library's existence...)

First thing I would do is restart your network router and computer. If that does not resolve the issue it sounds like you may have to uninstall iTunes and its associated softwares with this article:

I can't get my iPhone 4 to show up in iTunes!

I've gone through the steps in the Express Lane and nothing has worked.
My freakin' phone support thing expired after 90 days (like always) so now the only way to talk to a support person is if I pay $29
I swear I remember it being so much easier to speak to the support team before now!
Does anybody have any suggestions for how to troubleshoot this further?

Apple TV stopped showing up in iTunes. No way to get content across :(

I have an ATV1 that I hook up to my computer at work to load content onto via ethernet. This has been working fine for the last couple of years. I plugged it in recently and I am not getting an Apple TV icon showing up under the devices section. Uploading through my computer is the only way to get the same content on my iPod as well as on my ATV1.
The weird thing is iTunes seems to recognize that there is an ATV1 attached because I am getting the icon that lets me choose to use the computer's speaker or the TV's speakers. How can I get the icon to show up so that I can start moving content across?

The ATV2 does not stream the same way the ATV1 does, In other words ATV2 requires HomeSharing instead of streaming like the ATV1.
1) Make sure you have the most recent version of itunes (Check updates)
2) Turn on home sharing in iTunes
3) Turn on home sharing on ATV2.
4) Input name/password for iTunes account and your good to go.
