Can't hear music on my nano
had a new naon for Xmas , downloaded music easlily but I can't hear it. I've tried 2 headsets and neither will work.

There are a few things that you can try, like making sure that your headphones are fully plugged and make sure you fell them click in as well as checking the settings to make sure that nothing is set to low. You can also restore your iPod nano and sync the music again to test. Take a look at the article below for more information.

sound on my phone has gone so when someone calls me they can hear me but i cant hear them.The ticks cant be heard when you press the keyboard. I've checked the settings and they are ok. can still hear music thru headphones but not without. Any help pls.

1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
8. If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
9. Restart the iPhone.
10. If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
11. If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

Can you transfer music from a nano to a ipod touch?
Can you transfer music from the nano to the ipod touch? how?
After connecting your Ipod Touch to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, you can choose Transfer Purchases from iPod (Ipod Nano) from the File menu.
Or you can right-click (Windows or Mac) or Control-click (Mac only) your Ipod Touch in the iTunes Source list, then choose Transfer Purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
Please note that this feature only works for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your iPod or iPhone to the iTunes library.

I upgraded my Iphone 4 to IOS 7.0.2.
Everything goes well, except for listen to music. When I plug in my headphone, I can hear music.
Normal call using loud speaker is OK.
I don't know if it a bug of ios 7.0.2 or my hardware problems ?

I can not hear music played through the speaker. Just music only.
The speaker workes well with imcomming call or out going call by turn on loud speaker.

I can not hear music in iTunes when I select a song for play in the "Store", but I can when I select them from my Library? I can hear music offered in "iTunes Preview", just not in the actual store. Contacted Apple Support and was advised to uninstall/re-install iTunes, but found you can't do that because it is integral to OSX? I previously downloaded Audirvana software after reading about it in Stereophile Mag. I could hear Store songs with the original version of Audirvana, and later updated it. After the update, no audio in the Store. I've had no luck with email exchanges to date with Audirvana, or with Apple Support. Any suggestions appreciated...
Try opening Audirvana and in the "Audirvana Plus" menu uncheck "iTunes Integrated Mode".

when watching a slideshow I could always access music from my iTunes folder. Suddenly today I can only hear music under the 'theme' tab. I can see my music in iTunes but when I double click on it nothing happens!
In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.

Thanks, but I should have clarified: I already have USB syncing set up with iTunes on my Mac and have been adding music to my iPhone for years that way; now with the latest IOS, it no longer appears to be working. I follow the exact steps I always have (and which are outlined in the link provided), but no actual music is downloaded to my phone- if I am not connected to a wi-fi network, I cannot listen to my music unless I download it from iCloud. (And downloading it from iCloud is a laborious task because I have many songs.)

After upgrading to IOS7 I can't hear my music in the "Music" app either through my head phones or through my phone - I can hear it in YouTube and iTalk or videos that I view online... Does anyone know why??? Thanks.
Why are you using two accounts? That is most likely creating the conflict. Try picking ONE ID, then try downloading a new app from the App Store on that ID and see if your other apps work.

I can not see music on my nano
I have dowloade music from my PC to my nano. When I plug it in to my PC I see it on my nano. When I take it off to listen to it I can not see it.
If you have iTunes purchased music on your phone and then you should be able to copy it over to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the phone to it and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option - and similarly to copy iTunes purchases music from the Nano. If you have more than one device connected to iTunes at the same time then you might need to select the device in iTunes for the Transfer Purchases menu option to be active, otherwise iTunes won't know which device that you are wanting to copy content from (and therefore possibly disable the menu option).
For getting the music onto your iPod Touch, connect it to your computer and select it on your computer's iTunes - with the current version of iTunes, iTunes 12, you should (when a device is connected) get a 'device' icon at the top left of the iTunes screen next to the icons for the different types of iTunes content that you have in your library (music, films, apps etc).
e.g. this is what I see for my iPad (the blue icon at the top right to may partial screenshot is the 'device' icon, which is blue because I've selected it) - hopefully my screenshot will show, but there is a bug affecting images on these forums.
Select Music under Settings on that left-hand side of your iTunes, and on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen you should be able to select which of your iTunes music to have on the iPod.
Syncing with iTunes : Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB.
And similarly for syncing music to the Nano. -
I found my old ipod shuffle. It has music on it. But, i can't hear it.
I tried reseting it. Now, it blinks green, orange, green, orange, so on.I figured it out.
When you plug them in, you have to adjust the volume directly from the headphones or you don't hear anything. So use the little control on your apple headset and the sound will work. I feel like such an idiot for not figuring that out sooner *facepalm* -

I can hear music from my speakers (Ipod 4th gen) but when I plug my headphones I can't hear anything and I tried with other headphones and its not the headphones the problem.
No nothing. I have not dropped the phone or anything, but when I bought it I could listen to music, and now it just don't recognize any headphones!

I can't hear music/sound through my headphones.

Basically. I have the iPhone earbuds.... when I plug them into my iMac I can hear Skype calls through them no problem. If I turn iTunes on and play music... I hear nothing. If iTunes is playing when I answer a call, I have my conversation and end the call... the music plays briefly through the earbuds then stops. I can't hear anything through them except when I'm having a skype conversation.
I am currently running osx Maverick. This wasn't a problem before, but now that I have updated, it's happening and it's really frustrating. I also option clicked the sound icon in the bar and it's showing my headphones are connected. Please help?I figured it out.
