Can't hear what I'm playing while I'm playing

Hello-
I can't seem to solve what is probably a very simple issue.
I'm plugging my guitar straight into Logic Pro via a 1/4inch-to-USB cable. I can see the audio being recorded, but I cannot hear it while I'm playing or during playback. All non-Logic Pro sounds are audible (turning the computer's volume up and down, other apps, etc.)
Weird thing is: when I unplug the USB-to-guitar cable, I am suddenly able to listen to what I just recorded.
I have tried clicking "software monitoring" and just about everything else in the audio preferences and can't come up with anything. I've tried tweaking my system preferences as well as my audio/midi setup utility, and have gotten nowhere.
If anybody has any suggestions I would be most appreciative because I am stumped.

No.1 Most FAQ
Logic can only handle one Audio Device. Either the built in Input/Output or an external device (your USB cable is such an external device).
So, while using the external cable, logic can't use another device, namely the built in output.
BUT: There is a solution, which is called "aggregate device". You have to set up this device in your Audio-MIDI-Setup (Applications/Utilities). Go to the menu bar - Audio - open device editor. Klick on the plus sign to add a new device.
Into this virtual device you can install you Guitar USB cable as input and your Mac's built in output as output.
Now restart Logic, go to preferences-audio and select the aggregate device as input (output is always selected together with input).
To record, select the correct input of the aggregate device in case you have added both the USB cable and your built in input / mic.

While talking on the phone i can hardly hear what ...

its going to be 2 months since i bought my nokia E66, i like the phone but two things bother me most.
the first one is that the call volume is so low that i can hardly hear what the other party says
the other one like most of falks here "No gateway replay " when i try to connect to open WLAN. i have tried to disable the "automatic configuration" and "power saving" but there is still the problem. i was thinking, if i disable the automatic configuration, does that mean that i have to statically assign IP address to my E66?

Tried turning up the call volume (you do that while in a call either with the joystick right or volume up key)?

That iPhone needs to be tested by the techs at an Apple store genius bar to see what is faulty in the hardware.

Can't hear or talk to others while making calls

When I make a call on my iPhone 4 I can't hear the person I'm calling and they can't hear me and there's no static or sound at all. The phone call will connect and the other person will see that they're recieving a call from me. Another common occurance is that then I make a call the speaker phone button will be lit up when I haven't pressed it and it isn't on. Turning that off and on doesn't solve the problem and there isn't any water damage. I reset the phone and got a new sim card and that hasn't solved the situation. Multiple technicians have opened the phone and can't solve the problem. Anyone know what I should do next?

Who are these multiple technicians that opened your phone, hopefully you didn't void your warranty .
Make a genius bar appointment if nothing has worked, Apple gladly covers any iphone without physical damage for up to one year without Apple Care Protection.
Check the volume on your phone , double tap the home key, swipe to the right twice , and check the volume slider.

I have an i pod and am having problems with sound. When I watch any video on the device with headphones the music is always too loud for the voice meaning i can't hear what is being said. This problem is accompanied with a buzz in some parts of the music.

When watching a video with my headphones the volume of speech seams very low even when i adjust volume. The speech also tends to make a humming sound in places. When I listen to music humming is sometimes transmitted, but the volume level is normal. The problem is that when the video is playing i can only hear music and humming with the voice too quiet to hear properly. How can I make both volumes balanced? Also. This happens in all music videos.

Can you add multipe Non-Rounded Markers while session is playing?

It seems impossible to add makers on the fly that are not rounded. If you use the non-rounded marker quick key to create a marker you seem to have to de-select the marker in the marker list before you can make another one which makes it difficult to mark up a song as it flies by. The "create" button is great for adding multiple makers on the fly but even if I hold down shift/control it still puts the makers square on the beat while Logic is playing. Help?

Try to set a keycommand for "Create marker without rounding", which must place the marker exactly on the place where you have hit it without any snapping.

What video plays while iTunes Radio plays on Apple TV

The first several times I listened to iTunes Radio on my Apple TV, after a short delay (while the song info was displayed on the screen) the Apple "screensaver" played on the TV (this is a collection of mostly nature pictures that are "canned" on the Apple TV). Today, while listening, I had my computer open and suddenly the pictures were from my own iPhoto library. When I changed the iTunes Radio station, the pictures went back to the Apple TV canned ones, and I cannot get my pictures back. Has anybody seen this behavior, and, if so, how do you get your iPhoto library pictures to reliably play?

For those of you interested, I did find the answer myself. In iTunes TV/Settings/Screensaver, choose your computer, or, better yet, choose iCloud/my photos (or whatever it's called) and your pictures will play at the time set for the screensaver.

How can I hear what I'm recording in CS5.5 ?

Everything is working when I'm playing recorded files.

This is essentially a Mac problem, about which most of us know very little, because we use PCs. The ususal solution to monitoring is to use headphones to monitor an input directly, and if you do that in a PC then you have to set it up - probably the same in a Mac. Unfortunately your Presonus Audiobox doesn't have a headphone socket, which would probably make things easier - usually there's an app that comes with most devices of this nature that will help you with monitoring, but without a headphone socket on the box... not a lot of point!
Hopefully one of the developers might know the answer - they usually turn up at some point, on a fairly regular basis.

Which obviously makes it more than a little difficult to play in time. When I'm done recording I can hear everything, but not when I'm actually laying down a new track. Does anybody know what settings I need to adjust to fix this?
Guitars and keyboards are going straight into the computer and audio is coming straight out. In other words, I'm not using an external mixer at all. I am using Soundbooth CS4.

Soundbooth is not intended for music production and doesn't offer some of the functionality common to more music-oriented applications. You might be interested in Audition, which does offer a full-featured multi-track recording environment with full monitoring capabilities.

IPhone 5 calls sound "robotic", can't hear what the person says.

They can hear my voice perfectly fine, but their voice sounds "robotic". It helps to reboot, but the problem returns . I just got a replacement, and its got the same problem. Reception is fine, altho after the last update the signal is weak with only 1 bar, but this is another problem.
Appreciate any help.

Are you using a case for you iphone? if you are as a test remove the case and plug jack in and see if the headphones work. if it does work, just make sure you have the jack plugged in all the way when the case is on.

Visuallization schemes playing while ipod is playing music.

Ok, so most of the time while you are listening to music on the ipod, one is somewhere doing a task that should get done. But, wait what if you are sitting to wait for a train, don't really want to watch a video because you don't want to get too into so you don't miss the buss, so you end up looking at the ipod screen watching the title screen of the current song playing scroll endlessly. Is there any software,like the visualization that you could turn on the iTunes itself. If there is, well can someone point me to it or suggest it so apple could release this as a firmware update?
