Can't here my center speaker on my Inspire 5.1 p5800

I got inspire 5.1 p5800 speakers and my sound card is an sound blaster audigy platinum.
When i do test my center speaker works out find, but when i play music of any audio file type, video of any file type, dvd in 5. mode and games in 5.1 mode I can't here my center speaker.
If I put the speaker of to my ear I here low volume sound (very low volume).
Can anyone help

I found media player that will play the center channel now!If you have it use intervideo dvd 6 as a music player.
and set it for the 5.1 of course and I like movie surround more than music surround
one thing i love with p5800 speakers base is that at only 83% max base on sound card turned on and only 50% base on speakers turned on its one heck of a loud base
its all based on what files are 5.1 and which are not and win dvd platinum can force the upmix to make the center speaker work if the stuff isn't 5.1 .
like windows media player has 5.1 but doesnt change the play back of things that arn't 5.1
I dont know why on some dvds on media player you set to 5.1 the center channel doesn't work though.
But at least as long as your 5.1 mode turned on in intervideo win dvd 6 platinum the file will always play 5.1 even if the file is mono sound.
another good thiong about intervideo win dvd 6 is that it plays the divx and to me the performance is better than my divx pro....

  • Rear center speaker doesn't produce sound! (AUDIGY 2

    help, guys!
I just got my megaworks 650. it really took some time to get everthing pluged.
My sound card is Audigy 2 NX.
the thing is, in " speaker settings", when the option is set to "auto", the speakers are recognized as 5., so of course the rear center speaker is dumb; but even when i set it to 6. manually, the rear center speaker still remains dumb!
All the softwares are up-to-date. OS is windows XP Sp.
i really have no idea how to solve it...
    appreciate any replies.

I dunno exactly where the model number is - it came with a quickstart instruction booklet, a CD, the card itself, and a cable. I installed the CD but had some driver problems and used the updated drivers from your website and did the full install. Here's the ebay page where I bought the card http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=54629626&rd= I hope you can tell the model number by looking at the page, but if you can't can you tell me where the number can be found at?
EDIT: The only programs I could find under Programs > Creative are: Creative System Information and Product Registration. Under Programs > Creative > Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 I found: Creative AudioHQ, Creative Diagnostics, Creative Restore Defaults, Creative Surround Mixer, and User's Guide.

  • No sound from center speaker and static from Subwoofer

    Hello everyone,
I have used the search function and found several topics with the title "no center sound" but none of them had a usefull solution for me. I am using a Medusa 5. Headset and have connected it correctly. Note that the setup worked for over 3 years, but aperently recently something in the settings must have changed since I noticed playing Fallout New Vegas, that my center sound is missing.
    Here are some facts :
I am using Windows Vista home 64 Bit with the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card
Using the Creative Console Launcher ver. 2.6.09 (Settings on Game Mode, CMSS 3D disabled, Crystalizer disabled and EQ disabled). Clicking the center speaker for testing, gives me no sound. Clicking on the subwoofer gives me a static sound. Going to the settings "Bass" and enabling Bass Redirection. Doing the same test gives me a "dull, hollow, silent, very far away, hardly hearable" sound on center and the subwoofer speaker, but not a usefull result.
Leaving the Creative Console Launcher and going to the standard Windows Vista sound menu, I can there click speakers for testing aswell. There is still no sound from the center speaker, however clicking on the subwoofer gives me a very nice bass sound, so working as intended for the subwoofer.
I tested the center/subwoofer connection by connecting it to my Ipod, speakers are working.
All drivers and application are the latest version.
On the webpage of Speedlink (the manufacturer of my headset) they refer to a THX Console. I am sure I have seen that application on my system long time ago, but it is not installed anymore. I can't find it on the creative page either, so I am a bit confused where that program went (and even if it can help my problem).
I am 99% sure it has to do with a setting somewhere in the software, but I can't find it. Any idea?

    Hi,
Can you please launch your Creative Console Launcher and click on the Default checkbox? That should reset everything back to it's default settings. Run the speaker test again to see if you are getting sound from the center speaker.
If possible please test the sound card on another computer, that should help you find out if the sound card is faulty or not.

  • Hello there, is there any way i can log onto Game Center via just my Username as i have forgotten the other details (I made the account when i was 11 - I'm now 14 and have a bad memory)

The Question says it all really.
Is there any way i can log onto Game Center via just my Username as i have forgotten the other details (I made the account when i was 11 - I'm now 14 and have a bad memory)?
I remember my Username on Gamcenter but due to the recent update of iOS7, it is only letting me Sign in through my APPLE ID - which i have forgotten over time. I wish to recover my account recently because I remember purchasing Gems on the game 'Clash of Clans' and I wish I could restart playing the game.
Many thanks for taking your time to read and answer this question.

  • Side, back, and center speaker on inspire p7800 not working, PLEASE HELP!

I have had the inspire p7800 speakers for awhile, and they worked great, the sound was really great. Then a little while ago, the side, back, and center speaker stopped working. If i turn the volume up, i can hear a kind of static noise in them, but when i play a game or listen to music they don't do anything. i have an Audigy 2 zs sound card, and i just installed all the creative mediasource software. I was using the speakers fine without the software, but i read on a different post, that you can turn on cmss in the EAX control panel. i installed all the stuff, but i can't find the EAX console anywhere on my computer. all the mediasource is is a music player, and a file converter. The speakers stopped working about a week before this, and i unplugged everything and repluged it. After that the center speaker didn't work, but the others did. but now only the front left, and front right speakers work. Please help me with this problem.

If it doesn't power up then it's either the subwoofer or power adaptor that's faulty. So the only thing you can do is contact customer support or the vendor.

  • Center speaker playing through su

can anyone please help, for some unknown reason my center speaker is playing through my sub woofer,? i have a soundblaster li've 24bit external, with a logitech 5. surround system. every thing else works, except center speaker playing through sub, i don't understand how this could be. any info would be great. thanks, Rick

I've dabbled around, and increased the default volume for centre speaker to around 80%. This seemed to have fixed the problem. I must admit, this is rather embarassing. lol.
But is this really the source of the low volume? Or is my increament of volume from default a compensation of it's

  • No sound from my center speak

Hello,?I have a sound blaster audigy 2 card and 5. logitech THX speakers. I can not get any sound out of my center speaker. I used ot have a diagnostic program that tested my speakers and would let me reset them if I encountered a problem. I can no longer find that diagnostic problem. If anyone can help me by either knowing how to get sound back or how to get that diagnostic tool back I would be greatly appreciati've. Thank you for your help and your time.

What?kind of speaker system are you using if I may ask? I believe the card has only 3 holes to connect speakers to and line-in?where your surround set might have more. If you've got a Creative Inspiron set or something similar you might want to check if the cables which go into the central unit, the subwoofer in most cases, are connected properly?too. Greetings,

  • Place Mac Mini next to Castle Bastion Center speaker, will it kill the HD

    Hi,
I just bought a Mac mini as replacement for my Apple TV. The Apple TV was right under the TV, sitting on it's stand, and about 7cm below was the center speaker. Now I want to place an external HD and my Mac Mini right next to my Castle Bastion Center Speaker. Will this damage my Mini's HD or the external HD drive. I don't know if this center speaker is shielded or not.. I've also read pc mag article that there is nothing to worry about, but what are your experiences? I'd rather be on the safe side then not... but there is more than enough room for Mac Mini next to the speaker, so why shouldn't I put it there... help!!!??

I notice you mention being limited to a 4:3 resolution with the VGA connection. If you use composite or S-video you will be using an SD signal, which will normally just be 640x480, which is a 4:3 aspect ratio. The VGA and component connections should offer the highest resolutions. What is the model number of your projector, as I can find very little information about the Illumina series - and what I can find relates to 4:3 only.

  • No center speaker sou

I have a Sound Blaster Li've! 5. sound card and just recently bought some Inspire P5800 speakers, I had alot of trouble getting them to work at first (problems in AudioHQ) but eventually I got those sorted out. Now all the speakers work but the center one. When the speakers weren't working I could unplug the rear speaker cord and get sound from the center speaker as if it were one of the front speakers, so I know it's not a problem with the speaker itself. Since I fixed that I haven't been able to hear a thing out of the center speaker, but I know it's working because when nothing is playing it makes the same very light hissing noise that the other speakers make. I've tried everything I know to do and still no luck. Also, it makes no sound in a Speaker Test. I have looked through the forums and not been able to find anything about this kind of problem, and if there was something I didn't see it. Is there anyone that can help me?

I have a similar problem. Config:
    - Alienware P4 .3Ghz
    - 52 MB RAM
    - 80 GB X 2 (C & D)
    - SB Li've Platinum with Midland 5. speakers
    - Plexwriter 2/0/32A
    - DVD -R/+R burner
    - ATI 9800 All-in-wonder card with 28MB of memory (plugged into line-in)
    - XP Home SP2 (upgraded from WIN ME)
    - Directx 9.0b
    - Current drivers for above.
I only get sound out of the center speaker, or more often than not, the right front speacker. When I run the test on the AudioHQ and the center speaker is the only working speaker:
    Test FL - No sound
    Test C - No sound
    Test FR - No sound
Test RL - "Rear Left" comes out of the FR speaker
Test RR - "Rear Right" comes out of the FL speaker
When only the FR speaker is working I get:
    Test FL - No sound
    Test C - No sound
    Test FR - No sound
Test RL - "Rear Left" comes out of the FR speaker
    Test RR - No sound
I have a Midland 5. speaker system with a controller that sets the 5. balance, analog/digital and Prologic. This device could be the one that is causing the problem, but I don't know how to circumvent the controller to see if I can isolate the problem.
If I play around with AudioHQ (i.e. switching modes back and forth) I can get all the speakers to work. This problem seems to be random. I do reboot and that only works part of the time.
I just loaded the KX drivers I saw mentioned elsewhere. They are very nice. Really makes the card perform. But same problem popped up this morning. A reboot fixed it.
I tried running the TV and got sound on the front speakers, but not the rear. Switched back to Rhapsody and now get it on all speakers, but not the subwoofer. I was thinking maybe the ATI drivers were messing things up, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I just seems to happen after the computer has been on for awhile.
Any suggestions?Message Edited by playbak on 02-7-2005 07:38 PM

  • X-Fi Titanium: Almost no sound from center speaker in 5.1 mode (optical out)

    Hi everybody,
I have searched the forum, but not found any post regarding this problem, so I'm gonna post myself.
First of all: I have an X-Fi Titanium that is connected to my Home Theatre Dolby Digital/DTS Decoder via optical cable, so I use the DTS Li've encoding feature of my X-Fi to get 5. surround sound.
But from the beginning I've had the following problem: When I start a game, the sound is perfectly normal, but suddenly (not at a specific action, just out of nowhere) the sound from my center speaker is almost inaudible, extremely dull. So I can still hear, for example, the explosions or voices that come from the sides or the back, but everything that is right in front of me or is played back only through the center is almost silent.
When I quit the game, start the THX-Console and click on each speaker, all of them except the center speaker play back the test sound (like "front left", "front right" or whatever it is in the English version, I have the German version).
Switching to another mode (game, entertainment or the third, don't know what it's called in the English version), resetting the sound card via the control panel or clicking on "Standard" (or maybe "Default" in the English software?) does not bring back the sound on the center speaker, all I can do is switch to two-speaker- or headphones-mode so the center speaker is not used. Even rebooting windows does not work. I haven't figured out yet what exactly helps, but usually after a while suddenly the center works again.
The only reliable solution is to reinstall the whole software and driver, but with the slow Creative servers, it always takes hours to download all updates with Auto-Update, and installing everything with each single file for each little software module isn't much faster either.
I must say that I am very disappointed by Creative. Before my X-Fi Titanium I had an X-Fi Platinum, and the drivers really sucked. I hoped that this was because at that time, the X-Fi series was still quite new. But almost nothing has really improved since then. I would like to have ONE installation routine for the whole software package, with checkboxes to choose what I want to install, and not only when using the original CD, but also with the update files for download. And, most of all, I want the driver to just work! Since the beginning, I've only had problems with these cards.
Anyway, I hope someone can help me on this. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think I see what is happening now.
When using the analog outputs (5.), you have to enable bass redirection, and set the front or back speakers to small in the "Bass Management" screen of the THX control panel.
Bass redirection does not send anything to the subwoofer if the front and back speakers are all set to large. There should be a bypass switch for this, so the bass can be sent to full size satellites and the subwoofer.
When using the spdif DDL output, my receiver would decode and send bass to the subwoofer on it's own.
Only buggy part I'm noticing now is that I lose all bass occasionally on boot, and must do an "Auto Detect..." in the "Speaker Configuration" screen of the THX control panel to get it back.

  • 7.1 speakers and center speaker identification

I am trying to set up my speaker system again after moving despite the difference of wattage between the two front speakers and the center speakers I can not tell them apart for proper speaker configuration. How can I tell the difference between the 20 watt center speaker and the 8 watt front speakers?

If you have an nForce 2 motherboard with nForce audio it'll only support 5.1 channel output.
The T7900s come with a cable which has 3 jacks which go into your soundcard and 4 jacks which goes into the T7900s. I think you've the 4 ends which go into your speakers the wrong way around. Try connecting them differently.

  • Center Speaker problem

Alright I got a Audigy 2 ZS card and Inspire T5400 5.1 speakers. Somehow my center speaker doesn't work, and it didn't even pass the test either. But when I unplug and replug it I can hear it do the scratchy sound. Anyone know what my problem is?

I have a similar problem to the above message. I have SB Live! LS sound card, and a Creative 5.1 speaker set (not sure which one). When I test the 5.1 surround speakers with Creative AudioHQ, I hear the test voice say, "Center speaker." But, in all other applications I hear nothing out of the center speaker. Windows Media Player, PowerDVD, EAX enabled games, none of them put sound out the center speaker. Please help.

  • On my iPhone 4 I can play music through the speaker or headphones, but I can not get audio in phone mode, I can't hear anything nor can anyone hear me! Help. Please.

On my iPhone 4 I can play music through the speaker or headphones, but I can not get audio in phone mode! I can hear anything through the ear piece or via a headphone. Nor can people hear me when I call. I must be doing something wrong, but what?

    Hello Angela,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPhone.  I recommend the following steps for an issue like this:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, followthese troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

  • Can i customize control center in iOS 7?

As you know, iOS 7 came with a new feature called CONTROL CENTER that you can access WiFi, Bluetooth, and some features with just a swipe up of ur iOS device.
Here in the Philippines, some users use their data connection rather than WiFI....so if they want access the internet through their data connection, ofcourse they go to the settings to open it.....  And as I observed. I didnt see any "Data Connection" button on iOS or even you cant customize it....
SO is their any customizing tips here or not????
if not, can i suggest to have an update that you can CUSTOMIZED the control center for the sake of ease of using their iOS device........
I hope Apple will put these in their next update..
i hope you can read this Post...
    Thank you and GOD BLESS!!!

Yep.  Here's something more frustrating.  From the lock screen, I can see the handle at the screen bottom.  But at the home screen, it either doesn't exist or is hidden by the app dock at the bottom of the screen.  So it's pretty frustrating to have to turn the iPad off and turn it back on just to get to the control center from the lock screen.
I'm not even gonna bring up the fact that even at the lock screen, I have to swipe multiple times in order for it to work.

  • Audigy 2 ZS+LogitechZ5300 5.1 Center Speaker Whis

Hi, I am having trouble with my Center Speakers volume level -- it is a whisper compared to the front and rear speakers. I have updated my drivers completely and in the EAX speaker tuning the volume level slider for all speakers is "normal" (in the middle) while the center speaker is MAXED out. Maxed out yet the quietest.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the newest creative drivers, switched PCI slots and disabled the onboard sound. The funny thing is that when I uninstall and reinstall the creative media player stuff - no matter what - the center speaker volume slider is MAXED out.
I switched out the center speakers plug from the subwoofer to another channel (rear/front left/right) and the volume is PERFECT. If I plug in any speaker to the center speaker port then that speaker will whisper.
I'm thinking somehow the config file for my speakers are not being deleted with each uninstall and the fubar file is messing everything up.
Help!!!! Half-life 2 is coming and I wanna game with 5. sound! Thanks.

    Bortin,
When you run the speaker test in Creative Speaker Settings does the center output remain low? If this volume output is consistent regardless of the source then we should try a cleansweep and reinstall:

If this results in the same problem then you will probably need to contact Technical Support to arrange a repair on the Sound Card. Their contact information is found here:
