Can't hook up my Apple TV to my computer??grrrr..

Just got my apple tv and bought top of the line HDMI cable and want to know how do I connect my Apple TV to my computer so i can synch my movies and start using the unit. The unit is charging at the moment, do I have to wait til the unit is fully charged - does a red light come on.
MY CPU doesn't have the slot that is on the cable. Can I retroffit it to accomodate the cable? My HD TV has the slot to view the movies but I need to get the movies on the Apple TV. Had I known this was going to be so difficult, I would have passed. I need 101 instructions. The pamphlet is not clear, it says this or that and i don't really know what this or that is. Help.

I think you need to study the instructions, I'm not sure whether you have them or some other leaflet but they do tell you how to set the unit up.

If your audio amplifier has multiple hdmi imputs, you can connect the apple tv to one and the tv to another.
Works well for me, and now I can mirror itunes to get the new itunes radio on the music system, and have the tv system also work.

Based on your configuration description, the Logitech TV is physically connected properly to the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn). You do want it connected to one of the available LAN ports on the AEBSn.
By default, the AEBSn, is performing as a DHCP server. Also, by default, most computing devices are configured as DHCP clients. What this means is that the AEBSn should be providing the proper IP addresses to any connected (wired or wireless) in order for that device to access both the network and on to the Internet.
It sounds like that Logitech TV is just not configured properly as a DHCP client.

Hello, I just updated my Apple TV and is asking me to plug to iTunes but I don't have a computer where to plug it, I just have my mini iPad. What can I do to use the Apple TV, restarting it by unplug it of power or even with the remote doesn't works, keeps showing me the iTunes logo.

Once the ATV is in recovery mode it must be connected to a computer and restored via iTunes. No tablet will work.
If the user does not have a computer, take it to a friends or the Apple store for assistance.

No, there's no official way of doing it.
Of course you could tear the device apart, stick the internal drive in a caddy, attach to a Mac and hope you can find the files.
Alternatively you could software hack the device, but you need to Google the answers on that one.

Don't use Multiple Speakers option and just choose the AppleTV
What are you trying to Airplay? If it's iTunes content it's simpler to 'pull' the stream from the Computers icson on AppleTV by selecting the libarry and media.
If you are attempting to Airplay the desktop you can't.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

How can I install the iMac Graphics Firmware Update 2.0, if the screen is white and I can't get to the Apple menu? My computer has 5 vertical purple lines against white screen at startup before the Apple logo appears and the spinning gear...then everything disappears and the screen hangs on the white screen. + restore DVD, or is that missing? The original disc set usually would include
the extra applications not found on a retail version OS X install DVD; and a
bonus is the original software kit included the version Apple Hardware Test
for your computer model. This also is not included in a retail OS X install DVD.
If you have your computer serial number and model information available,
and try calling Apple (main number, not local store) and ask to speak to an
Operating System Specialist, when you get someone matching that position
on the phone ask what they can do for you regarding a Replacement DVD
install disc for a system that can run in your computer.
If your computer shipped with a Tiger version, that would have been originally
on a grey-label DVD set include with the computer, with a part number on it.
A replacement may be harder to get, than say, a white label Replacement
DVD install disc for Leopard 10.5. There had been a white label non-retail
full install version of both Tiger and Leopard, available for a time from Apple
sales support main numbers (or applecare?) for a reasonable fee. Maybe still.
Perhaps if one kind of replacement system disc is not available, they may
have some other option at Apple. The main store number may not be the
correct place to ask, but they may be able to redirect you to an OS Specialist.
(in US 1-800-MY-APPLE is the main #. There is another number I don't recall.)

Thanks, I actually meant a converter box I just wanted to make sure that using that would work. With Amazon FireTV Sticks for example I jhave been told that only a direct HDMI connection to the TV would allow the device to work at all.
