Can't ignore incoming call

When I get an incoming call I can not drag the puzzle piece to the red puzzle piece to ignore the call. It only allows me to drag it to the green puzzle piece to accept the call. I have to wait till the call quits ringing to continue whatever I was doing on the phone. I have tried hard and soft resets because of screen timeout issues I am having, but I still can not use the ignore feature on calls. Sometimes I get an actual ignore and answer button for incoming calls and they work. Does anyone know how to switch to those all the time and get rid of the puzzle pieces?

On my phone, there's an empty puzzle piece that I drag my selection into.  So, if I want to ignore, I drag the ignore puzzle piece into the empty gray space.
As for when the puzzle vs. buttons appear, when your phone is inactive, the puzzles appear.  When you're actively using your phone, you get the buttons.
You could swap from the puzzles to the sliding glass option to see if that helps you any.  You can change that by going into the display settings under Sound and display and selecting the Unlock screen option.  Doing this will change your answering options from the puzzles to a sliding option.  You will have the green answer and the red reject sliding icons that you slide across the screen.  Maybe this will work for you?  There's also a third option to ignore the call with a message or something like that.  It won't give you an option to silence the call (make it stop ringing), but your volume button will take care of that, so there's really no reason for it.
Hope that helps.

  • IPhone 4 Can't receive incoming calls and sms after 3G has been activated

I can't receive incoming calls and sms on my iPhone 4 after the 3G connection has been activated and used actively by me. Outgoing calls and messages do work and as long as I use the Wi-Fi connection everything's fine but the problem appears after switching to 3G. Any help? Thx in advance!

I think the next step is to do a reset by holding the sleep and home buttons down at the same time until the Apple logo appears.  If you haven't done this before, keep holding the buttons when the turn off slider appears.  The screen will go black and after what seems like an eternity, actually several seconds, the Apple logo will appear.  When the logo appears, release the buttons.

  • How can i hide incoming calls from showing on my screen

How can I stop incoming calls from showing on my home screen?

If you just don't want to see the call notification on your home screen go to Settings, Notification, Phone and turn Notification Center to Off.  Or you can simply select None and calls will be listed in the Notification center but you won't see a banner / alert on the home screen.
This also eliminates the Caller ID from being displayed before you answer the call.

  • I can't see incoming calls since update when I'm on the phone

I can't see incoming calls since the update when I'm on the phone with someone. The calls don't show up in my recent as missed either.

I went through the steps as suggested.
Until someone calls through, I won't know if my swap icon appears, and I can see who my incoming caller is. I'll let you know when that happens.
Geez, I have a 4 not a 5, no wonder my phone did not appear up to date!

  • I can't decline incoming call from my iphone display

    Dear friends,
I'm using iPhone 6 but I can't decline incoming call from my iphone display. I saw YouTube video  to view reject/ decline incoming call I need to press power button twice. But seems odd to me. So now what I'll do or if there is no option for that then what'll Apple do?

The Decline button will only appear if the phone is unlocked. If the phone is locked when you receive a call, the only option is to double-tap the sleep/wake button to send it directly to voicemail. If you tap the button once, it will silence the call, but it will continue the ring cycle before going to voicemail. If the screen is awake, then you will see the Decline button. Feedback to Apple goes HERE, and click on the appropriate link.

  • Pre Ignore Incoming Call When Locked

On the Palm Pre there is not a way to ignore an incoming call when the phone is locked.
Can this be added to the next OS update?

Press the power button to ignore calls when phone is locked.

  • Ignoring incoming calls

When my phone is in sleep mode and I get an incoming call, is there an ignore feature or trick I can use to ignore the call and stop it from ringing? I have the feature to ignore if I'm using the phone and it rings but not when it is in sleep mode. I have the new 3G model.
    Thank you

So, what if this feature doesn't work??? I mean I've read on the Apple support page, that pressing the Hold button twice will decline the call and a 2 seconds' hold of the Mic button on the headset will do that too... But all that works for my iPhone 2G (firmware 2.1) is the Mic trick, the other one sends the phone to full silence, though still receiving the call. Did anyone see something like this? I know for sure that the Hold button trick works just fine on a 3G iPhone with firmware 2.2. Help?! pleease

  • Bought a new phone and now we can not receive incoming calls

This week I bought a new Panasonic cordless handset with no answering machine to replace our AT&T desk phone. I set it all up and waited the 7 hours for it to charge. Checked for dial tone, ringer, and volume. Called the house # from my cell phone and the screen on the Panasonic never showed an incoming call - kicked into voice mail (provided by Verizon) after the preset 5 rings so I left a test message. Panasonic screen showed a "1 new voice mail message". I was able to dial the voice mail access phone # and listen to my test message. Disconnected the new handset and reconnected our old phone - worked just fine. Returned the Panasonic to the store where purchased and exchanged for another (same model). Sales assoc. said there may be a code needed from Verizon. Spent hours on the phone attempting to speak to a real person at the customer service # and decided none work there anymore - everything was automated! After "4 digit pin" frustrations I gave up!
So if you've read this far and can help I'd sure appreciate it! Line works fine, old phone works fine, checked ringer/volume on new phone. Only working phone jack in the house (used to have 2 but when we contracted with V last year they only changed over one - another frustration).   And how can I find out when our contract is up?!?

Your mostly talking to peers here.  Better off using the
    http://www22.verizon.com/support/residential/contact-us/index.htm
option which is on all the Verizon pages.  Should always lead you to phone numbers (1-800-verizon) and often an online chat.  Sometimes will show you and email option.
As far as peers helping we would need to know  what type phone service and general area of the country.  Obviously varies as I have had no trouble with panasonic, uniden and other phones at my two locations (NY and FL).

  • Can barely hear incoming call?

Can barely hear an incoming call.  Sounds very distant.  What can I do to resolve this?  Thanks

Dear Deborah, I just received my latest iPhone, iPhone 4S and I am experiencing a similar problem. For a hard-of-hearing person this problem might be too much. I have not reset my new phone yet but I am going to do so soon. I will see what happens.
Another question: How about those ringtones? The iPhone seems to reset itself to the default ringtone constantly eventhough I have put individual ringtones to my contacts. Any ideas how to solve this one?

  • Can't reset incoming call during conversation after upgrade to IOS 5

Right after migration to IOS 5 I discovered that it's impossible to drop incoming call during conversation. I mean when you pressed power button twice in IOS 4 call must be transferred to voice mail or resetted. It was fine before migration to 5th version pf OS. I tried to reset my phone to manufacture settings but result was the same.
Does anyone met the same with new IOS?

Weird, I can't edit my messages here...
It doesn't matter once or twice the button was pressed - both calls are resetted.

  • Ignore incoming calls occasionally not working

I've run into odd behavior that happens intermittently on the Tour device.
An incoming call comes in. The user presses the red key to "ignore" the call. The incoming call temporarily halts, but then resumes ringing the phone. Pressing the red "ignore" key again yields the same results. This happens maybe 1 in 5 incoming calls. The rest of the time the red "ignore" key works as it should - rejecting the call.
Is this a known issue in the Tour? Is there a patch or work around?

The Network Preference is checked, to Notify me of incoming calls while connected to the internet.
