Can't import LIVE TYPE files .ipr into FCP - FILE ERROR: UNKOWN FILE.

I have had this problem for a while and simply just worked around it. But now I am editing so much more that I want it the way it use to be.
The Problem is FCP 6 will not let me import LIVE TYPE files. I have to render them into an .mov 1st in livetype. I use to be able to just drag the file into FCP and render it there after I tweeked it. Now it won't, it gives me this error- FILE ERROR: Unknown File.
I have already uninstalled Live type along with its PLIST as well as FCP. Re installed and still keep getting the same error. I can't remember when it started, all I know is I want it fixed.

What are the Project Properties settings? do they match the Sequence setting in FCP?
What elements are used in your LiveType composition?
Are you including images or background video?
If so, post the codec that the video uses. If there are images, the file type and color space.

You can't: iWeb cannot import html files, and relies entirely on its own 'Domain' file which lives by default in your User Library. You would have to recreate the site from scratch, using the original as a guide and a source for images and text; or use an HTML editor.
Depending on how complicated the site is you may be able to do this in Kompozer, which is free. It is a WYSIWYG web page created which also gives you access to the code, and which can open any HTML page (though if the page is heavily dependent on external CSS you may have difficulties with it).

FCE can use DV or AIC video formats natively. Any other format will need to be converted to one of those two if you want to avoid constant rendering. The clips you use must match the Sequence settings.

sorry, of course USB is available for L&T, I use it every Friday so I should know better, I got two replies mixed up completly so thanks for correcting my mistake.
what I meant to suggest was if the camera does not show in finder or in L&T check the camea menu setting is set to connect to the hard drive and not from the camera or memory card.

We are having no luck with the thousands of songs we have to manualy add to a particular playlist in iTunes alone. .. there must be a simpler way! How can this be done . . . if there is and it's complicated, is the Genius allowed to help us out with this? They seem to only master Mac's only. . or can they help us? PL E A SE E E HELLPPP!

Unfortunately I need more help if you or someone else can provide it. I followed all the steps you have instructed so far in the threads I have seen. Unfortunately nothing so far works for me. Maybe you or someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I tried the notepad++ method and when I click on save I always get a notepad file that my iTunes can't do anything with. I click the "convert to UTF-8 without BOM" then click save as and it still saves as a notepad file. I am also unable to find the \n\ file path to replace with my \C:\ filepath. Now I went and switched the part from <media src="..\ to <media src="C:\ in all the files in hopes that was where I am supposed to have my drive letter but it didn't seem to help. Please forgive my encoding ignorance if that's what my problem is. I hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

Let me tell you what I am sure about and what I am not sure about:
I am sure that I want to be able to sell my products online. The industrial market that I sell to usually do not allow the maintenance people that find me on the web, do not have the ability to use credit cards in a typical shopping cart format due to the higher prices that the equipment I sell costs and that most people call me up to 'request a formal quotation' to give to their purchasing depart. So, my bright idea is to create numerous pdf files with very specific url's to match the very specific items that I sell. (1) item per pdf. I am thinking that the advantage to skipping the shopping cart approach and allowing the customer to fill in the qty of items, which would be mulitpled by the price of the item (a constant #) and then hitting a apply button, that would calculate subtotal price. Discounts for the qty the customer inputs (qty of items inputted by customer would be discounted on a percentage x base price) and a refresh the screen. It would allow for SEO advantages from what I have seen in the past in my very vertical market. All forms would be setup using the same functionality, just images, alt text, urls, and readable text would change.
What I don't know- which is alot, then how to calculate shipping costs. I have a weight per item, which can be added up. I saw an Adobe blog that allows UPS shipping cost to be programmed in. I don't know how dreamweaver works, which was what the blog mentioned would allow for this updated, instantanious interface with UPS and calculating real shipping costs to a specific zip code. Shipping cost would be fluff to this page. The main thing would be to do allow the customer to be able to fill in a qty of the specific item on the page, calculate a discount if / then type thing, be able to have customer email to purchasing dept or print. I would date stamp it with verbage that pricing is valid for XX days and if I could get a copy emailed to me that would be icing on the cake. I believe that this non static pdf would be something different then the current competion and that it would allow for 100's of quotes to be generated without customers having to wait 15 minutes to an hour for me to process the exact document that they are looking for.

If you want to duplicate your Folder Tree in iPhoto:
Start at the bottom of the hierarchy and drag a folder of images to the Album Heading in iPhoto. The pics will be imported and an Album of the same name created.
You can then create the Enclosing Folders in the iPhoto Window (File -> New Folder) and drag the Album to it. Folders can contain other Folders (Nested Folders) and Albums.
However, is your folder system date based? Then this form of organisation is a bit pointless in iPhoto when Smart Albums or the Calendar tool (Click on the wee magnifying glass in the Search Box) mean you can find the photos taken on any day, month or year at a click. With Smart Albums it's easy to find photos from specific range - say, June 3 to August 25, 2009 etc.
If your folder system is theme based - Xmas pics, Birthday pics etc, then you'll find Keywords are much more flexible, and can be used in conjunction with other criteria for making Smart Albums and searches.

I know there's been many posts with this problem, however, I haven't been able to fix mine.
I have an app that uses JSP's, java libraries with Tomcat and MySQL. The app works fine, however, since I migrate to a new server, I start getting this error.
The funny thing here is that JSP's that are located in the root directory (public_html) works fine, while all the other JSP's throw this exception:
"Only a type can be imported. MyClass.anyclass resolves to a package error"
If I move any JSP from "public_html/any_directory" to "public_html", then that very same JSP works fine.
The java libraries are located in a jar file, in WEB-INF/lib, and it's classpath is perfectly written.
Altough, I know there's nothing wrong with the code of the JSP's, here it is, in case that helps. I'm sure that this error is caused by some Tomcat's configuration, however, I haven't been able to find it.

I haven't solved this problem yet. Here's some extra information about the same problem:
1 - As you know, Tomcat compiles JSP's the first time they're executed, so I checked the java code generated for:
/public_html/my_JSP.jsp
and
/public_html/any_folder/my_JSP.jsp
both codes are exactly the same, however, as I mentioned before, only the one located in /public_html/ works.
It seems to be a problem with Tomcat's classpath, but I haven't been able to fix it yet.
2 - In the Tomcat's conf file "server.xml", I found this, and it looks just fine, in the older server, I had exactly the same conf and it used to work.

I meant by "not compatible" that all the solutions that I found on the web did not work, especially the "Microsoft exchange" one.
Fortunately I found on the comments of the first website you mentioned the right answer for me, which I copy below:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.
Additional Information
Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.
If you are using application based special password go to https://accounts.google.com/Se... and instead of your password put that special code and u r done.

I have the exact same issue, but with a standard IMAP account and SMTP. My iPhone can send out, using the EXACT same settings, from the exact same WiFi connection...but the 10.8 MacBook cannot send at all. The only account I can send out on is my iCloud account.
I have also tried all the steps above...no luck.
I have also turned off all network filters and firewalls...no luck. (And as I said above, my iPhone is on the exact same WiFi connection and using the exact same settings, and it can send fine.)
Other messages I've found via Google have suggested simply forcing the SMTP server to use Port 25, but that didn't work for me either.

Can't find live type after installation

I reinstalled FCP and components and now I can't find Live type anywhere in the computer. Even I tried to reinstall the live type data and at the end of installation a message says "intallation was succesfull". What can I do to recover it?

What have you done to find it? Spotlight will find LiveType. The installer is a very simple application, not very bright. If it says it installed it, it's there someplace. Search for recent creation dates and huge folders.

I just tried exporting the existing cloud calendar - which confusingly we've called "Family" and it's been in place for the last 4 years! - and then re-importing it and seeing if it will let me import to an existing calendar rather than make a new one. It worked for a few seconds (I told it to import in to the new "Family" calendar set up through Family Sharing). They all showed up alright - effectively duplicating all family events - but then I had thousands of error messages telling me the event already existed on the server and the only thing I could do was 'Revert to Server' - which deleted them all again. (It let me choose "Ignore" to start with but when the thousands of events clocked over to the first one again I knew I was on a hiding to nothing!).
Going to try doing it about-face and deleting all trace of the original "Family" calendar first this time, (OK to do now that it's been exported)... stand by . . .
