Can't import logic project

I'm trying to import audio tracks from one project to another. I browse to the file, check the tracks I want to import and hit the import button, but nothing happens. The import settings dialog box comes up and I select import audio settings, but again no tracks are imported. Any suggestions?

Never mind. It's the add button, not the import button.

Hi,
first recommendation is to not use Eclipse natively but use OEPE that ships with Eclispse Juno. This way you have the IDE prepared for ADF projects. However, still the JDeveloper workspace structure does not fit the Eclipse structure.

As far as I know you can just open your FCE projects from within FCP. Only once saved, it cannot be opened with FCE any more.
Why not duplicate a FCE project and try to open it with FCP?

Can't import Flex project

I wonder if someone can help me with this. I am using FlexBuilder 3. I am unable to import my project from one laptop to another. The old laptop had CF8 and the new has CF9 so I’m not sure if this is the problem. When I try to import an archive I exported from the CF8 laptop, I get the prompt to update the path variables. It accepts the path to ColdFusion9 but will not accept the web root. I have tried C:\inetpub\wwwroot but it gives error message saying ‘the selected web root folder does not exist’. I also tried C:\inetpub and C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot.
I’m stumped at this point and desperate to get this imported. I have been having a nightmare trying to migrate this application from CF8, Windows Server 2003, IIS 6 to CF9, Windows Server 2008, IIS7.5. We are also using SSL so from what I’ve read I will have to recompile all these swfs with some changed XML config files. But of course, the first step is getting the app into FlexBuilder.

Thanks for the reply drkstr_1. I've got IIS working (I think) since the CF app comes up fine and I can surf about. It's the flex grids I have that won't work. I get: "Destination 'ColdFusion' not accessible over channel 'my-cfamf-secure'". Actually, the flex grids DO work with http, but they don't work using https. I had found information to add secure channel info to the remoting-config.xml and services-config.xml files. Once those channels are added, I need to recompile the swfs. But first is to get the project into this new laptop FlexBuilder. I'm using C:\inetpub\wwwroot for my websites. Can't Import HTMLHelp Project using Robohelp HTML RH8

We have an HTMLHelp project that contains over 1000 HTML pages that are grouped into subfolders under the main project folder. Currently, we use the HTML Workshop to create/maintain the project files and generate the master chm. The master chm also includes baby chms that are generated using DocX or a home-grown program. Going forward, we want to start using a Help authoring tool . We downloaded a trial version of RH8. We clicked the Import option to import the project and received the following error: "The parameter is incorrect". I checked the forum and saw that other people also received this error message but for different reasons. Can you help us move forward so that we can evaluate RH8? Thanks.

Sorry, your post fell into the "mm, take a look at the weekend" category.
I've not seen the problem you report in connection with importing a project but it's not a RoboHelp project you are importing but you are using that option.
You have CHMs so try Reverse Engineering them. See that topic on my site. Try Method 2 first.
There is also a topic on Merging Help and the RH8 version includes merging CHMs.

How can I import iphoto projects (books) into Iphoto?

My un-backupped Mac crashed, and I had the files recreated professionally. Now I want to import my books back into iPhoto, but either I am trying with the wrong files, or I am doing it wrong. Anyway I cannot import the "project.db" files, which the Mac tries to open i Word by default!
Any ideas how to do it?

Simply putting files in to specific places is enough to recreate the Library. An iPhoto Library is not just a gathering of files but a complex ecosystem of interlinked files, caches and database files. It's more than the sum of its parts, and those parts are not always what you think. For instance, those project.db files have nothing to do with books

Im about to import a project from Aperture on my on-road laptop to my main Aperture library on my studio Mac when i realised that the new camera i purchased for the road trip has named the files exactly the same as some files (but different pictures) which already exist in my studio Mac. Even though they exist in different projects, what will happen if i import the new project into my main Aperture Library?

I just had a similar problem. Since I had my MBP on the trip, we were downloading our photos to Aperture there in projects. When I returned home I discovered we had with photos with the same names but different project names. I was able to import everything into Aperture without any trouble. For my own sanity I did a batch rename to change the photo names in Aperture after the import.

Wanna cry - can only import to Projects?

Argh. Is it a fact that whenever I go to import photos saved on my drive, it'll ALWAYS create a new project for each import? I've been playing and hitting the manual but it seems like that is the case...
That is pretty infuriating. I've got a massive amount of photos, art pieces, etc, that I just want to exist in the Library - not create a Project for each one. I'm going to end up with 100+ Projects! I just want them to exist in the Library so that I can manually add them to Albums later on when I catalog all of it...
(plus I feel the concept of a Project is flawed - when you delete a Project it deletes the photos, which is not the case with Albums. I think it goes against the whole non-destructive concept that the app is built on. Albums are just links to photos, but Projects are like mini-Libraries? Seems totally illogical.)
Is there any way to JUST get my imported photos dumped into the Library?

Justin - when you import you can point the import pane towards existing projects - in fact it will default to pointing at the last project you imported into.
Projects are the minimum size block that you can export to other computers and still keep the albums.

Can't import existing project or multiple project into workspace

Hi everyone,
When i created a new model to my project , i lost the fils generated automatically in gen_wdp. so the types generated automatically are not recognazed in the code.
Before creating the new model, i have copied the folder of the project to an other place. I try actually to get back this version which contains all generated fils and which works correctly.
I copied the folder of the last version, before creating models, to ...DCs\sap.com\home and i tried to do an import in NWDS.
when i chose as import source: multiple existing projects into workspace, i can't see the folder to check it and when i use * Existing project into workspace* i can see it in the brows but when i chose it, i have the message Projects already exists
any idea please?!

I deleted the new version from the folder .dtc\0\DCs\sap.com\home and i replace it by the latest version before importing the model. In NWDS i closed and opened the project again. The build is OK, but i don't know if the activity is ok( contains the current version of project) or I should do something for updating it.

I am not sure if we are talking about the same problem, but here goes. While working on an iMovie project, I could not import a particular Quicktime movie; all others were imported without a problem. I received a message that there was an error ("QuickTime couldn't parse it"), but it wasn't much of a help. I noted that the title of the movie in question had a slash, as in "Monterey/Hearst Castle". Acting purely on a hunch, I renamed the movie without using the slash, and the import went off without a hitch.
I would suggest that you check how your QuickTime movie is named. Look to see if you have any characters that are neither letters nor numbers. If you do, try renaming the file.

I imported a small '06 project to iMovie '08. Well, the only thing that was imported were the video and still images. Not imported - music tracks, transitions, titles.

Can't open Logic projects

Hi,
I've just installed Logic Studio but it has a big flaw which is really slowing my work down. Whenever I save a project it creates a folder named e.g "testsong.logic". In this folder are two files - one quite small and one a couple of mb. When I go to file>open in Logic I can't open this file! It means the only way I can open things is by using the "open recent" function. I think that this .logic file shouldn't be a folder but should be a Logic file that I can double click to open. Can anyone tell me how to change the folder to the proper format?

Here's something I found out in the meantime, maybe this is interesting for somebody or maybe - problem's not totally solved - enough info for any of you to give me further advice.
When I start Logic Core Audio driver de-activated, I can open old songs. Then I save them in a new folder with all audio files and a new name. And I remove all EXS24 instruments as well as the Space Designer. I quit Logic, re-open with Core Audio activated and I can open the song.
Problem no.1: EXS24 instruments don't find the appropriate samples, but EXSMananger Pro did help me with this. Same problem with Space Designer, which doesn't find the impulse responses, connected to a certain preset.
Two questions, every idea would be great!
- Is there any way to teach Space Designer Presets where to look for impulse respones. I can load IR samples directly and create a new preset, but I can't use my old ones.
- Is it possible to install Logic from scratch over an existing version? Or how should I de-install everything connected with Logic and then install a fresh version from CD?

Can you import garageband projects from iPad2 to Mac?

I'm having a heck of a time trying to import Garageband tracks (projects) from my iPad 2 to my Mac desktop. I'm working iwht the latest versions and I know I did it once, but my new iPad GB projects aren't showing up on iTunes. Frustrating. Any thoughts or suggestions?
