Can?t increase number of message in queuespace

Question

I am using /Q and Tuxedo 6.5 on OpenVMS
7.3. When increasing the number of
messages in a qspace to a number larger
than 40 000 its no longer possible to
open the qspace. I think this has
something to do with the shared memory
settings. What parameters should be tuned?
Any help would be appreciated!

What leads you to conclude this is a problem with tuning? What happens when you
try to open the space?
There are Unix style tuning parameters in your vps_init.txt file in the tuxroot:[udataobj]
directory. There should be a file called vps_init.new that has tuning parameter
that are more appropriate than those in the base vps_init.txt file you get when
you install the product. The values of interest for shared memory are:
%n_shmmni 200 ! max # of global memory segments (shmmni)
%n_shmmax 10000000 ! max bytes allowed in a shared memory segment
%n_shmmin 0 ! min bytes allowed in a shared memory segment
%n_shmseg 50 ! maximum number of shared segments per VPS process
This sounds like an interesting problem but I can't really take the time to pursue
it. If you put in a support request, the problem will either be solved before
it gets to me or I will have time, in an official capacity, to work on the problem.
