Can't Initialize Install of Premiere Pro CS4 Trial

Every time I try and install the Premiere Pro CS4 Trial that I downloaded from this website, it freezes and the program doesn't initialize. But under the task manager it still takes up CPU. I extracted the premiere trial folder to my hard drive and I'm trying to run the "setup.exe" in the folder. I then have to go into my task manager and end the process or else it keeps taking up CPU.
Does anyone know why this is happening? It seems like it is only me.
My operating system is 64 Bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

Simply remove/uninstall AME CS5.

Why cant I install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4/Encore ?

So a while ago , my encoder for PP stopped working, so I uninstalled everything today, and I re-downloaded the Premiere Pro trial version - but when I install it , after about 3 min it says that it couldnt install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 & Encore.
when I press the more information botton it shows me a pop-up with this text:

Did you have the full-paid version originally, or the "trial?"
If you had the full-paid version, why did you download the trial?
If you had the trial, it does stop working after a period of time - it is limited that way. If you had the trial, you can never install another trial on that machine. It's a one-time deal.
If you did have the trial, you will want to not only uninstall it, but also run the Adobe CS4 CleanScript a few times, before you attempt to install the full-paid version, or you WILL have problems.
Let us know exactly what you had, and what you wish to do now, and someone can help you.

I downoadet the setup, installed all the software, but when i wanted to run it the first time, adobe sayd: You have to estart your computer, if hat doesnt work ask our support...mistake (dont know what the right word for mistake code is) code is 131:4, now i hope that you can help me by installing the software in the right way!

Na was für'n Computer? Hast du den Neustart auch wirklich gemacht? Warum CS4? Klingt einfach so, als ob du das Ganze mit unzureichenden Benutzerrechten gemacht hast und somit die Installation nie richtig fertig wird...

Welcome to the forum.
As CS4 is no longer current, I kind of doubt that you will find the trial. You might try a site like ProDesign Tools, but most of their links are directly to Adobe's download site, so may not be of use.
I have not heard of any facility that maintains older trial downloads, but there are a few people here, who always surprise me with their "finds."

PS - if you buy one of the CS5 suites, you will get PrPro CS4 on the discs. You will be able to try that out for 30-days, and if you do not like it, Adobe will refund the purchase price. Remember, within 30 days.

Error installing Premiere Pro CS4 trial version

Hi all,
i've just downloaded Premiere Pro CS4 for testing.
During installation the files were extracted and setup was starting. But after the system check the installer says that an error occured and that i have to look in the log file. So i'm not able to install the trial.
Any ideas?
It can't be a problem of the installer, i've downloaded the sources twice.

If you have not done so, make sure that your Account is an Administrator. Turn off ALL Anti-virus, pop-up blockers and sypware programs.
As later Adobe installers rely heavily on Flash, I'd make sure to have the very latest Flash Player (free from Adobe).
If this fails to resolve the issue, you might try to install from Safe Mode. IIRC, PrPro will NOT allow for this, though PS still does. Still, you can test my memory here.

I might be being an idiot, but I also have problems with CC 2014 and want to reinstall CC 7, but nowhere in the Creative Cloud App can I find the ability to install older versions.
On the Adobe site it shows the ability to install an older version by clicking either the 'more information' or the 'filer & versions' tab, but there are no options to access older builds in the latest Creative Cloud app.

Hello, I have been trying to download the trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC. However, when I click onthe download button and the Creative Cloud window appears, Premiere is nowhere to be found. THe only application present in the Audio/Video section are Audition, Photoshop and Prelude.
I need this trial version quite urgently for a project.

is on location on the pp cs4 trial, cuz i dont see it.....

Though I am just guessing (never used any Adobe trial), I think that Glenn is correct. Encore, plus anything MPEG, will also be unavailable.
Here's an entry from the PrPro-Wiki FAQ on the trial. It should have everything included, and missing, outlined.

This is a forum. None of the users here -at least not to my knowledge - are Adobe professional
Ninety-nine point nine percent correct. We are blessed with a few Adobe employees here, unlike some fora, but those folk are probably at NAB right now. Also, they are in other departments, so would have to walk "down the hall," or make a call, just as we would.
When it gets to issues on licensing, installation, etc., we're pretty much at a loss. Most of us have never encountered such issues, and only know what we have read in others' threads, when they have bothered to report back. Even then, that is third-hand info.
Last time that I had an Adobe installation issue was AI 3, IIRC. My upgrade version did not have the old database of S/N's. Mine was 00-000-003, and things had changed drastically. One call to Adobe, and a total time of about 5 mins. (including hold time), and I was given a number to plug in, and then everything installed perfectly. That was in about 1989, so is not quite contemporary. Still, that is the last and only first-person account that I can offer. Most here have zero personal experiences, as they came to the party later, and have just not had any such issues.
We'd love to help, but just do not have the experience.

Took a look at the Premiere Pro splash screen as the program loads; the version number will be displayed. If you don't catch it there, go Help > About Adobe Premiere Pro. And, if you're running anything other than at least 4.2 (the current version is 4.2.1), you'll want to update by selecting Help > Updates.

Windows 7 X64 & Premiere pro CS4 issues

Hi All,
I have a Dell Precision 690 with a clean install of Windows 7 X64 and a new (1st time) install of Production Suite CS3 (excluding Premeiere Pro CS3 and Encore CS3) and a new (1st time) install of Premiere Pro CS4 with Encore CS4.
After starting a new HD project (1920 x 1080 29.98) if I try to open any (old or new) sequence, the program does a "serious error" hicup and has to shut down.
Everytime I run Premiere Pro CS4 and try to load a project previously saved to the raid array that was created under XP Pro 32bit (previous life) I get this message saying that the scratch discs are write protected and would I like to change to the default (C drive) location for scratch discs. Within the original project the scartch disc was the external raid array. I can access that raid no problem from windows explorer and read and write to it. Also all the clips within the project are read from the raid so I don't get it. Anyone come across anything like this before?

try opening the project, clicking OK when it tells you that the scratches are write protected, and then when it opens, go to the top menu bar and click Project > project settings > Scratch discs and re-point your scratches to the location you want them. Save, and you should be good to go.
