Can't install a theme

I downloaded some themes for my BB 8350 version 4.6.1 (which I have), I install them but I can't see them anywhere, I reinstall them and a message appears saying that they are allready installed and that if I want to reinstall them...so that means they are allready installed (obviously), but where are they, how do I choose them, because I don't see them anywhere...
I restarted my BB and did everything that occured to me but still nothing...

Can't install Openbox theme

Hey, i have recently shifted to Arch Linux, and now i'm playing around with Openbox, which I really like.
I have a problem installing the "Arch.blue" openbox theme from http://www.box-look.org/content/show.ph … tent=74000
The theme is a .tar.bz2 file and I have to make it a .obt file, how to do that? (this is the newbie corner, guys )
When I had to install some other Openbox themes I could just rename the file from .tar.gz to .obt and I could install the theme with Obconf.

You don't need to make it into an .obt, you can just move it to ~/.themes, and then run 'tar -xjf' on it.

Can't Install Old Themes (using iDVD '08 on Leopard)

I have a problem opening old projects (created using iDVD 3 or 4, can't remember) in iDVD '08 because I'm not able to install the old themes that are necessary. When I try to download the themes the software update program doesn't seem to find them as an available update. Trying to install them from my Max OS X disc fails with an error message that I need at least iDVD version 7.0.
Any ideas?

iDVD will be on the system install disk. Use Pacifist to locate, extract and install iDVD from it. Move your current iDVD to another location or rename it so you can go back to it after the themes are installed. You might even be able to locate the themes package with Pacifist and just extract and install them. I'd look at that first.

Can't install Leopard on external drive

After speaking with someone at the Genius Bar last week, we determined that the problem I'm having with my eMac is probably due to the 4-5 year old internal hard drive finally getting ready to give up the ghost. ;-(
I asked if it would make sense to buy an new external drive, load Leopard on that, and boot off that while I save for a new Mac. He suggested that would work. (While the speed might not be ideal over a USB connection, I'm not too concerned with that. As long as the kids can do their homework, and I have a place to store photos it's fine.)
I just got my new external HD, got it partitioned into 3, and am trying to load 10.5.3 on it from my CD so I can make it the boot drive. The problem is that - while all 3 partitions show up on the "list" of places to install, the internal HD is the only one that will let me install on it. The 3 partitions all say that I can't install on them.
Any idea why I can't install on the external, and more importantly, can I work around it somehow before my internal drive dies for good?

Hi JDB38;
There is no such thing as an Intel G5. It is either one or the other but never both. An Intel tower is a Mac Pro. A G5 is a tower with a PowerPC processor in it. So which do you have?

Generally YES.
It's possible to hold separate iTunes library's on a single machine.
Generate two new folders inside the Music folder of the Mini and name them differently; e.g. man and woman.
Copy your whole library into "man" and your wifes into "woman"
Go to sharing in the system settings of the Mini and share the Music folder in your network.
After copying the whole library's to the Mini you may point iTunes to the new location at startup by holding the option key (alt) at the keyboard.
iTunes will then ask you where the library is located.
Point it to the matching library on the Mini.
That's all.

PS ... If you both use only the Mini you have to setup a user account for each and just copy the whole library to the Music folder in particular.

Whoever told you that was misinformed or lying. Those applications are sold separately for the iOS platform and the Mac platform.
Go to the Mac App Store to purchase Pages and Numbers for your Mac. They're $20 each. If you are running an older version of Mac OS X that can't use the Mac App Store, you can purchase install media from Apple.

Disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's preferences and then go back and reenable it. See if that will jump start the process. If that doesn't help try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

My Elements and Premier DVDs are corrupted physically. How can I install them via online instead?

I bought Photoshop Elements and Premeire Elements 10 sometime ago and forgotten about it. The box was sealed but the DVDs had streaks for white stuff and thus the drive is unaable to read. My Alcatel One Touch has Firefox version 1.1.0.0-prerelease. When I try to Update my mobile phone it says, there are no updates, I have the latest version of the OS. But as I can see here the latest version is 1.3.

There are no official v1.3 updates yet from Alcatel for the OneTouch Fire device.
Please keep in mind that the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) are fully responsible for testing and releasing the updates, and that Mozilla still encourages them to provide users with the latest updates.

Try forcing Firefox to rebuild the list of installed add-ons.

When you restart Firefox the list of installed add-ons should be rebuilt.

If you type '''about:addons''' into the location bar does that bring up the list of add-ons? I have seen a blank add-ons list if Mr Tech Toolkit add-on is installed, accessing the add-ons manager by typing about:addons in the location bar is a workaround with that add-on installed. The author of that add-on is working on an update.

Your post indicates you have used Cydia, which is a software application for iOS that enables a user to find and install software packages on jailbroken iOS Apple devices. Since your iPad has been jailbroken, we can't help you in this forum. Best bet is to Google for answers.

We are trying to see what macs have cc installed on them in admin console we only see the licences

Yeah, OK, I can see an arbitary number for CPU used since session startup (what does that refer to by the way? It can't be percent), and I can see that one user has consumed massive amounts of CPU compared to all other sessions, but he is currently not running anything, so how can I see which SQL he ran in the past day that cuased all that CPU consumption? Can I do this without AWR?
By the way, do you need a Diagnostic Pack license for simply viewing the Performance tab of dbconsole? I Can go into dbconsole and see history for 2 days back and see the massive espike that caused CPU consumption, but when dbconsole displays the list of top SQL and top sessions under the graph, is it the top listed SQL that consumed the most cpu or do you need to correlate the colours, i.e. find the SQL listed in top SQL that has the same colour as CPU usage on the graph (green) even if it is not listed as the top "consumer" (which I assume means top AAS consumer: overall consumption of all resources)?
