Can't install adobe acrobat xi pro.

When I tried to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, a pop up said that it is not a supported file type or it was sent by an email attachment that wasn't correctly decoded. What do I do to fix this?

I just realized I purchased software for Mac. This should be for PC. How can I get a different serial # that is for PC and not mac

  • Hi, can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices?

Can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices? I have a desktop running Windows 7 and am thinking of buying a laptop running Windows 8. I would be the sole user and only using one device at a time.

Yes, the license permits installing on two machines at the same time as long as the same software is not being used on both simultaneously.

  • How can I install Adobe Acrobat without installing the browser extensions?

    Hello All,
I am a computer Technician at a high school and we have very strict browser requirements for different services. We need to use Adobe Acrobat to convert PDF's, and other tasks, and we need to use Chrome to open Adobe Reader files. The issue is that I want my 3 browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) to open PDF files using Adobe Reader XI. All my plugin settings are correct to use Adobe Reader to open PDF's, but it either downloads a PDF to the computer, or opens up in the browsers default reader (Chrome does this), or opens up to a blank page with a blank error message. I went into the programs Internet settings for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat and it's telling me the browser opens them up using Adobe Acrobat (With no option to change the setting). The problem is only solved when I uninstall Adobe Acrobat. Then I am able to open PDF's in Adobe Reader just like I want (but this gets rids of Acrobat). This leads me to believe that when I install Adobe Acrobat, there is a registry key or something that is telling the computer to open PDF's in browsers using Acrobat. My initial question is this: How can I install adobe Acrobat without linking it to the browser. I JUST want Adobe Acrobat as a program installed on the computer.
    Additional Info:
    - I build a computer image and use that image on several computers. This issue persists with all of the computers I installed the image on.
    - I am using Adobe Reader 11 (Now DC, but I am willing to use either) and Adobe Acrobat Pro CS3 (I think it's version 9?)
    Thanks for the help.
    - Charlie

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com

  • Re install adobe acrobat 8 pro

we had installed adobe acrobat 8 pro on a computer and then it died.  can we reinstall using the same serial numbers on the cd online - the new computer doesn't have a cd drive

    Hi Twsparknet,
I would recommend you to copy the installer package to a removable disk/flash drive using a computer that is equipped with a CD Drive and then transfer it to your new computer. Then you would be able to install it easily.
Alternatively you can download it from here : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html
and yes you can use your same serial no which you used previously.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Rahul

  • I just installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro...

I just installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, student Licensing, and it seems to be installed on my c-drive. But I can't recognize any of the files to launch this program. I haven't been asked for a password, which I received, and if anyone can help me figure out which file in this folder I use to launch this, I would appreciate the help.

No, it doesn't show up on my start menu. All I have are folders on my c-drive, there is a folder called Adobe Acrobat XI Pro...when I click to open that folder, there are 2 folders at the top, one is called "Adobe Acrobat XI", which contains 2 folders called "Transforms" and "VC10rT_x64, then below is a setup.exe file. I cannot find a file to launch this application that I bought yesterday.
