Is that really the exact message you are getting?
Perhaps the download was truncated?  Try downloading the offline installer from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-xi-pro-standard-reader-direct-download-links.html
Make sure you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page.

  • How can I install Adobe Acrobat without installing the browser extensions?

    Hello All,
I am a computer Technician at a high school and we have very strict browser requirements for different services. We need to use Adobe Acrobat to convert PDF's, and other tasks, and we need to use Chrome to open Adobe Reader files. The issue is that I want my 3 browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) to open PDF files using Adobe Reader XI. All my plugin settings are correct to use Adobe Reader to open PDF's, but it either downloads a PDF to the computer, or opens up in the browsers default reader (Chrome does this), or opens up to a blank page with a blank error message. I went into the programs Internet settings for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat and it's telling me the browser opens them up using Adobe Acrobat (With no option to change the setting). The problem is only solved when I uninstall Adobe Acrobat. Then I am able to open PDF's in Adobe Reader just like I want (but this gets rids of Acrobat). This leads me to believe that when I install Adobe Acrobat, there is a registry key or something that is telling the computer to open PDF's in browsers using Acrobat. My initial question is this: How can I install adobe Acrobat without linking it to the browser. I JUST want Adobe Acrobat as a program installed on the computer.
    Additional Info:
    - I build a computer image and use that image on several computers. This issue persists with all of the computers I installed the image on.
    - I am using Adobe Reader 11 (Now DC, but I am willing to use either) and Adobe Acrobat Pro CS3 (I think it's version 9?)
    Thanks for the help.

  • Hi, can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices?

Can I install Adobe Acrobat Pro on 2 devices? I have a desktop running Windows 7 and am thinking of buying a laptop running Windows 8. I would be the sole user and only using one device at a time.

Yes, the license permits installing on two machines at the same time as long as the same software is not being used on both simultaneously.

  • How can i install Adobe Acrobat 11 in german language

    Hello,
    a simple question.
how can i install Adobe Acrobat XI Prof. in german language?
I have the donwload option for german and this will download the AcrobatPro_11_Web_WWMUI.exe.
      --> Acrobat Professional
    11.0
    German
    Windows
Acrobat Professional 11.0 WIN ESD D
When i start the installation with this donwloaded file i have only Enlgish as an language option.

    Hi Sukrit,
thanks, but that doesn't fixed my problem.
Now i have a language selection in the setup process. i select German, the setup/installation windows are in German.
after installation the application is in English.
i can't change the language in the preferences. there is only English. the option "Choose at application startup" will be ignored. also when i start the application as administrator
It is possible that our company license key is language specific?
i try a normal installation with key and one as trail version. the trial version is in German.
i see this language setup option only if i select trial version during the installation.
As information, the OS is Windows 7 Ent x64 English and the regional / location settings is Germany.
    regards

  • Can't install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I purchased CS5 about 18 months ago and have recently had the need to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, which came with it. However, the disc isn't being read and I can't find anywhere to download Acrobat Pro 9 in order to use the serial number. Please advise! I need it quite urgently.

I am in the same situation.  I have a legal copy of Adobe Acrobat Preo 9, but can no longer read the disk I made when I first downloaded it.  I downloadeD Adobe Acrobat  9 extended and tried a friends copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 standard.  Neither of them would accept my seria number, which I downloaded from My Adobe.  Dealing with Adobe is ftustrating.

  • Can't install adobe acrobat xi pro.

When I tried to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, a pop up said that it is not a supported file type or it was sent by an email attachment that wasn't correctly decoded. What do I do to fix this?

I just realized I purchased software for Mac. This should be for PC. How can I get a different serial # that is for PC and not mac

  • How can I install Adobe Acrobat 6.0 on Windows 8.1?

I originally installed Adobe Acrobat 6.0 on Windows XP. I've upgraded the OS to Windows 8.1 and have a compatibility error message when trying to re-install Adobe Acrobat 6.0. Any suggestions? Thank you. Roman.

Confirming the response you received. For the record, any version of Acrobat earlier than the 8.1 update of 8.0 simply won't properly install and/or run of versions of Windows beyond Windows XP and certainly not on any 64-bit versions of Windows.

  • Can I install Adobe Acrobat 4.0 on my Windows 7 system?  ... since it is already paid for.

I bought a Windows 7 system and am now installing software that I had on my Windows XP system.    What do I need to do to install Adobe Acrobat 4.0 on my Windows 7.0 system?  Adobe Acrobat 4.0 installation states that there are compatibility issues ,,, and then directs me to the Adobe web site.

    Hi,
Tried compatibility mode on Win 7 and it did not help.  Will use Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader and convert doc to pdf as needed.
    Thanks anyway,

  • Windows 7 professional--Can I install Adobe Acrobat 8 for XP

I have a new T410 with windows 7.  My copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 only works, Adobe says, wiht XP and Vista.  Can Adobe 8 be installed on Windows 7?

As far as i know only version 9 or newer support Windows 7 so if you ask Adobe they will probably just tell you to upgrade Acrobat to version 9. I would recommend to upgrade Acrobat to version 9.x that support Windows 7. If you don't want to upgrade and prefer to try Acrobat 8 with Windows 7 which is not supported i guess it's on your own risk. I tried to google and found that several people claim it's working fine while some others had some problems. I didn't really read all the details though.
If you got a license for Acrobat 8 i assume that all 8.x updates are free? In that case you could give it a try and update to the latest 8.x which i believe is 8.2.3. If it's working that's fine and if not i guess there will be no support from Adobe and then you have to do some searching for a solution. It should be easy to find others that tried the same thing so probably a lot of suggestions in case of problems.
Like i said it's on your own risk so hard to recommend that you try in case something should go wrong, but i'm guessing that worst case would be that it's not working and Acrobat can be uninstalled without any corruption to your system.
