Can't install app from PC.

Let me say up front that I am new to the BB world. However I have been a programmer for 40 years so I usually can get things to work but...
I was unable to instlal the user tools from the disk that came with the phone but I downloaded the latest Desktop Manager. I was able to see the SD card once I had that running and I had no problem copying songs to the SD card.
I then tried to install Aerize Optimizer 2008 .
No Go!!
It keeps telling me that it can't find the device. I've tried it with the Desktop Manager open and closed to no avail.
I have had no problem installing a few apps when the email was sent to the phone.
What am I doing wrong?

you say tried with DTM open, but did you USE DTM to point the way to the app you wanted installed. ie goto Dtm app loader , and then navigate it to the app , click open on dialog box and it should "find it"

My friend had this problem and he just went into his payment information to make sure it was accurate and up to date. He didn't even change anything, only reentered his security code. He then downloaded the app successfully. Thought that might help you.

I can't install apps from my apple store, need help

Hi All, I have an iphone 3GS. I used to download free as well as purchased apps from the app store. For some reason I am not able to do that anymore. For example when I try to open my facebook app, it keeps on not opening it, last time it did that to me, I deleted it reinstalled it, but now I am stuck because I can not install anything from the app store. Pls help what it does it: I click on the app store, it will allow me to pick the app I want to install (e.g. facebook, then it gives me the option to download, i.e. 'Free' but the free is with a plus sign i.e. "+Free" then when I click on it, the "Install" appears but partially like "insta..." then am stuck can't install or do anything, anyone with idea on how to resolve this?
P.S. I have not upgraded to IOS 4

Log out of the Apple ID on your iPhone.
Reset your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Log back into to your Apple ID with the current password.

Is there a way I can still install apps from the Applications disc on Mavericks?

A few weeks ago, I was installing a new SSD into a 2009 MBP. I reinstalled Snow Leopard from the disc that came with the computer and proceeded to upgrade to Mavericks. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, you cannot install the iLife applications (namely, iPhoto) from the Applications disc once you upgrade past Snow Leopard. Is there a way I can still install these applications without having to buy them through the app store?

When I download apps from iTunes, and want to synchronize with my iPhone, I keep getting and pop-up error saying something like "The Program xxx could not be installed on your iPhone because you are not authorized to play it on this computer"
I am running the latest version of iTunes on a PC with Vista, and I have tried to authorize and de-authorize my computer several times with no success.

Can't install apps from iTunes onto iPhone

hi all--
I have a one-month-old 16GB iPhone that I play a lot of games on. I've purchased a bunch of games from the App Store and synced them over with no issues in the past, but my last 8-10 purchases simply won't sync over, no matter what I do. It's like the iPhone's purchase record was "frozen" at a couple weeks ago. Here's what I've tried so far:
*Restoring the iPhone
*Deleting Apps from iTunes and redownloading to iTunes
*Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes
No luck.
When I attempt to download these same apps from the App Store on the iPhone itself, something even stranger happens. I get the "You have already purchased this, do you want to download again for free?" message, and the game begins to download normally, but it gets caught in an infinite loop as it attempts to install the thing. The "Installing..." progress bar will fill up all the way, but right as it finishes it resets to blank and starts filling up again!
Something is clearly wrong with my Syncing process, my iTunes account, my iPhone, or all three. Any ideas? I am getting pretty frustrated by this, as you may imagine.

Seems like we should be able to but I keep getting error that indicates an incompatible device. Android apps are compatible with the passport, so am I missing something here?

You can almost do it directly.....
There's an app called Snap.
But you need a computer in order to install it on you phone.
I highly recommend using their bete v3 version, I've put a link below to help you get started with some information about it.

Apple will not give you information about the original owner. Take it back to whoever you bought it from.

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID). If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

What do you mean by apps downloaded from the internet?
iPhone apps can be downloaded and installed from the iTunes App Store only.
