Can't INSTALL app update?

I have Grocery Gadget Lite 2.1.1. App store says 2.1.2 is available. I have tried to install it several times. Not only does the App store continue to say the 2.1.2 update is available, but the app doesn't even get updated, despite the icon saying "downloading" and "installing" each time. But when I launch the app it's still on 2.1.1. Any fix for this?

The other threads I saw said the update actually installed, but it was just the App store that kept saying there was an update.
In my case, the update won't install at all. The app continually shows the previous version upon launch when the newer version is there and available. It appears to install, but it actually does not.

  • HT5622 I have verified my Apple ID several times on my Iphone but a can not install APP updates?  The same Apple ID works fine on my Ipad for updates etc.???

I have verified my Apple ID several times on my Iphone but can not install APP updates. Everything work fine on my Ipad using same AppleID ect.?

Sign out and back into your apple id from Settings>iTunes and App stores>(Your apple ID)>Sign Out and then sign in again with the new address. Close app store from running in the background (or restart the phone if your unsure how to do this). If when trying to update any apps they are still asking for the old apple ID, delete and re-install those apps.

  • Can't install App updates

I'm using an iPhone 3G which has been upgraded to 3.0 today. I'm attempting to update the apps I have, but it isn't working. Here's a play-by-play:
I go to "Updates". I press "update all apps". It takes me to the home screen where the apps appear to begin installing. Then a window pops up saying:
    "iTunes Terms & Conditions
    have changed.
"Before you can proceed you must
read & accept the new Terms &
    Conditions"
I press "OK". It brings up the white page with "loading" on it, but at the same time, it pops up a window identical to the last one. If I press "OK", the white page disappears and reappears, with the same pop-up reappearing. If I press "Cancel", it takes me to the Terms & Conditions. I attempt to tap "Agree", followed by a pop-up that reads, "You must accept terms & conditions to continue." I press OK, and it reads, "Thank you. Please try your purchases again." So I try pressing "update all apps" like I did in the first place, and everything that just happened happens all over again. It's a strange loophole that I can't outsmart. When I try emailing the terms & conditions, it just doesn't work. It sends the email, but I can't actually agree to the Terms & Conditions. I tried agreeing to them on iTunes, but they never came up. It leads me to believe that I already agreed to them but my iPhone "forgot" that I did.
    Please help!

    Hello,
I'm having the same problem with App updates on my iPhone - have accepted the T&C about 30 times, even with individual updates only, but I still can't download any updates.
I tried via my computer as well, but something is weird : next to "Applications" in iTunes, it says 6 updates (same as on the App Store icon on my iPhone). So far so good.
But when I click on "Updates Available" to download them via iTunes, I get to the My Applications page and it says "No updates available - check again later". It's as if I didn't have the same status on my phone and the computer, although I have "Sync all Apps" checked in the Applications tab in iTunes?
So no can do via the computer or the phone...
Anyone have an idea what might be wrong?
    Thanks in advance!

  • HT4759 I can not install app's from the app store on my phone, and when i try, i get a message tells me (cannot connect to itunes store) that happened after i updated it to "IOS6" . it's a "IPhone4 S"

I can not install app's from the app store on my phone, and when i try, i get a message tells me (cannot connect to itunes store) that happened after i updated it to "IOS6" . it's a "IPhone4 S"

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it.  So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID).  If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

I can't install and update any application, even for the free app the system ask me to sign in to the billing payment. Even though that I did sign, it still declined. Any one could help, please

All Apple iTunes Store accounts must have a valid form of payment set up. Even for free apps and updates. The Payment Declined message comes from your card issuer or payment source; Apple is just a pass-through for the message. You need to find out why your issuer is declining your card.

  • Can't Install or update apps on iPod Touch 5g

Hi, i am having a very serious problem with my iPod. it is an iPod Touch 5th Generation, 32GB, blue. It is currently running iOS 8.2. The problem is, I can't install or update any apps. It just sits on the home screen grayed out and saying "Waiting...". It won't do anything else. I have already tried hard restarting it, along with signing out and back into the App Store. I have also tried deleting the apps and reinstalling, but it does the same thing.

  • Can't install or update apps

iPhone running iOS 8.2. Can't install or update apps, buttons grayed out. Probably a Settings issue, because iPad working fine.

If the buttons are greyed out in the store then do you currently have an app age rating set on your phone in Settings > General > Restrictions (under the 'allowed content' heading) that is blocking them ?

  • Can't install or update apps through iTunes

Seems I can't install or update apps through iTunes. It keeps giving me error messages. I the only way I can get around this is updating through the App Store app on iPod touch. I think this problem started since updating to Lion.

What are the specific error messages?

Mine's much worst - can't send nor receive emails from Yahoo and Gmail. It simply won't connect. Gmail first gives an error about the SSL and to try again without it. But, it still won't connect. Yahoo on the other hand keeps on saying that the apple.imap server is not responding no matter what settings I change. It really does seem that there's something wrong on their end, however, it seems selective.
This is on top of the fact that all of my contacts were erased and the Personal Hotspot disappears intermittently.
By the way, I came from 4.2. I updated my wife's from 4.1 and her's is just peachy.

  • HT1766 Recently updated my iPhone 4s to the iOS 6. Now I can not install application updates, my music library has vanished, iTunes Match (in Settings) keeps setting itself to "Off".

I recently updated my iPhone 4s to the iOS 6. Now I can not install application updates, my music library has vanished, iTunes Match (in Settings) keeps setting itself to "Off". I have also logged off of iTunes in Settings, and it will not let me log back in. Just a few moments ago when I again tried to log into iTunes, it asked me for my Password, then replyed that I had no Match account; but I do. Is Restore the best option?
    Any suggestions

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more.  And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should.  On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much.  I will post a note in the app store to let them know.  I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

  • Configurator 'Can't Install App'

Why won't configurator let me have a configuration profile installed as well as installing an app.  Whenever I have an configuration profile installed, I can't install any app.  If there is not profile installed, I can install apps no problem.  I work in a school, with a class set of iPads and this limits me from b eing able to keep the students from doing things like install their own apps, using the camera, etc, while I'm trying to teach.
    Frustrating.

    LutherElem,
    Here is the solution:
Before updating the iPads, DO NOT update the apps from iTunes
    1. Connect the iPads to the computer that has the AC
    2. Open AC
    3. Uncheck the profile that you pushed to the iPads, then click Apply
    4. Now update the apps through iTunes, then add the updated apps and the new apps to AC
    5. Check the new apps, then Apply
    6. Check the previous profile, then Apply
    Why?
Let's take a look at what the Apple Configuration (AC) will do when an iPad is connected. Below is the steps it runs through in order:
    Retrieving iOS information-->Checking Activation...-->Checking Pairing...-->Installing Apps-->Retrieving Documents-->Installing Configuration
As you can see, it's installing apps first before installing configuration (the profile). If your profile was set to not to allow the iPad to install apps (meaning you removed the App Store from the iPad), the AC can't push updated/new apps to the iPad. That's why you can't update the apps from iTunes at the beginning and that's why on step 3 you need to remove your initial profile before pushing updated/new apps.
If the apps in the AC already got updated through iTunes or there were new apps in the AC, that will pop up the "Can't install apps" error.  If the apps in the AC are still the same version as those in the iPad, it won't pop up that error. That's why we do not update the apps through iTunes at the first beginning to make sure the apps versions in the iPads are still the same as those in the AC.
To summarize again, the iPads need the Apple Store back before they can be loaded with updated/new apps by the AC. The profile installed on the iPads were blocking the AC to push updated/new apps. That's why we have to remove that profile and put it back in the end.
I feel I am making you confused.
